Salmos de Salomão 1

1Clamei ao Senhor Deus na minha tribulação até o fim, no Deus que provê os pecadores.

1I cried unto the Lord God in my tribulation till the end, unto the God who provides for sinners.

2Imediatamente escutaste o clamor de guerra diante de mim, eu disse: 'ele me atenderá, cumprirei a justiça.'

2Immediately I heard the cry of war before me, I said: 'he will hear me, I will fulfill righteousness.'

3Ponderei no meu coração: 'cumprirei a justiça na minha prosperidade, e ao ter muitos filhos.'

3I pondered in my heart: 'I will fulfill righteousness in my prosperity, and when I have many children.'

4A riqueza deles será distribuída por toda a terra, e a glória deles até os confins da terra.

4Their riches shall be distributed throughout all the earth, and their glory unto the ends of the earth.

5Exultarão até dizerem das estrelas: 'certamente não cairão.'

5They shall exult until they say of the stars: 'surely they will not fall.'

6Também tornaram-se insolentes devido a seus bens.

6They also became insolent because of their goods.

7Os seus pecados são secretos; e eu, ele não viu?

7Their sins are secret; and I, did he not see?

8As suas iniquidades estão sobre eles mesmos; os povos grandemente profanaram o santuário.

8Their iniquities are upon themselves; peoples greatly profaned the sanctuary.
