1Conhecemos também o tempo do nosso fim, pois não temos tormento, nem doença, nem dor em nossos corpos, nem exaustão, nem fraqueza, mas paz e muita paciência e amor.

1We know also the time of our end, for we have no torment nor disease nor pain in our bodies, nor exhaustion nor weakness, but peace and great patience and love.

2Pois nossa alma não se preocupa com a saída dos anjos, pois os anjos se regozijam quando recebem nossas almas, e as almas também se regozijam com os anjos quando os contemplam; como uma noiva recebe o noivo, assim a nossa alma recebe o anúncio dos santos anjos, dizendo nada mais do que isto: O Senhor te chama.

2For our soul is not troubled by the angels to go forth, for the angels rejoice when they receive our souls, and the souls also rejoice with the angels when they behold them; as a bride receives the bridegroom, so our soul receives the announcement of the holy angels, saying nothing more than only this, The Lord calls thee.

3Então a alma deixa o corpo e vai até os anjos, e os anjos vendo a alma saindo imaculada se regozijam e estendendo suas vestes a recebem.

3Then the soul quits the body and goes to the angels, and the angels seeing the soul coming forth spotless rejoice, and spreading out their robes receive it.

4Então os anjos a chamam de bem-aventurada, dizendo: Bem-aventurada és então, ó alma, porque a vontade do Senhor se cumpriu em ti.

4Then the angels call it blessed, saying, Blessed art then, O soul, because the will of the Lord is fulfilled in thee.
