1Chapter.

2E vindo José a uma festa com seus filhos, Tiago, José, e Judá, e Simeão e suas duas filhas, Jesus encontrou-os, com Maria, sua mãe, e sua irmã, Maria de Cléofas, a qual o Senhor Deus tinha dado a seu pai Cléofas e a sua mãe Ana, porque tinham oferecido ao Senhor Maria, a mãe de Jesus.

2And Joseph having come to a feast with his sons, James, Joseph, and Judah, and Simeon and his two daughters, Jesus met them, with Mary His mother, along with her sister Mary of Cleophas, whom the Lord God had given to her father Cleophas and her mother Anna, because they had offered Mary the mother of Jesus to the Lord.

3E ela foi chamada pelo mesmo nome, Maria, para consolo de seus pais.

3And she was called by the same name, Mary, for the consolation of her parents.

4E quando eles se reuniram, Jesus os santificou e abençoou, e foi o primeiro a começar a comer e a beber; pois nenhum deles ousava comer, nem beber, nem sentar-se à mesa, nem partir o pão, até que Ele os santificasse, e primeiro o fizesse.

4And when they had come together, Jesus sanctified and blessed them, and He was the first to begin to eat and drink; for none of them dared to eat or drink, or to sit at table, or to break bread, until He had sanctified them, and first done so.

5E se acontecesse de Ele estar ausente, eles costumavam esperar até que Ele fizesse isso.

5And if He happened to be absent, they used to wait until He should do this.

6E quando Ele não quis vir para se refrescar, nem José, nem Maria, nem os filhos de José, seus irmãos, vieram.

6And when He did not wish to come for refreshment, neither Joseph nor Mary, nor the sons of Joseph, His brothers, came.

7E, de fato, esses irmãos, mantendo Sua vida como uma lâmpada diante de seus olhos, O observaram e O temeram.

7And, indeed, these brothers, keeping His life as a lamp before their eyes, observed Him, and feared Him.

8E quando Jesus dormia, fosse de dia ou de noite, o brilho de Deus brilhava sobre Ele.

8And when Jesus slept, whether by day or by night, the brightness of God shone upon Him.

9A quem seja todo louvor e glória para todo o sempre.

9To whom be all praise and glory for ever and ever.

10Amém, amém.
