2Novamente os judeus pediram pela terceira vez a Maria e José que O persuadissem a procurar outro mestre para aprender.

2Again the Jews asked Mary and Joseph a third time to coax Him to go to another master to learn.

3E José e Maria, temendo o povo, e a arrogância dos príncipes, e as ameaças dos sacerdotes, levaram-no novamente à escola, sabendo que Ele não poderia aprender nada do homem, porque Ele tinha conhecimento perfeito somente de Deus.

3And Joseph and Mary, fearing the people, and the overbearing of the princes, and the threats of the priests, led Him again to school, knowing that He could learn nothing from man, because He had perfect knowledge from God only.

4E quando Jesus entrou na escola, guiado pelo Espírito Santo, tirou o livro da mão do mestre que ensinava a lei, e à vista e audição de todo o povo começou a ler, não o que estava escrito no seu livro; mas Ele falou no Espírito do Deus vivo, como se uma corrente de água jorrasse de uma fonte viva, e a fonte permanecesse sempre cheia.

4And when Jesus had entered the school, led by the Holy Spirit, He took the book out of the hand of the master who was teaching the law, and in the sight and hearing of all the people began to read, not indeed what was written in their book; but He spoke in the Spirit of the living God, as if a stream of water were gushing forth from a living fountain, and the fountain remained always full.

5E com tal poder Ele ensinou ao povo as grandes coisas do Deus vivo, que o próprio mestre caiu por terra e O adorou.

5And with such power He taught the people the great things of the living God, that the master himself fell to the ground and adored Him.

6E o coração das pessoas que estavam sentadas e O ouviam dizer tais coisas ficou em espanto.

6And the heart of the people who sat and heard Him saying such things was turned into astonishment.

7E quando José ouviu isso, correu até Jesus, temendo que o próprio mestre estivesse morto.

7And when Joseph heard of this, he came running to Jesus, fearing that the master himself was dead.

8E quando o mestre o viu, disse-lhe: Não me deste um erudito, mas um mestre; e quem pode resistir às suas palavras? Então se cumpriu o que foi dito pelo salmista: O rio de Deus está cheio de águas: Tu lhes preparaste milho, porque assim é a provisão para ele.

8And when the master saw him, he said to him: Thou hast given me not a scholar, but a master; and who can withstand his words? Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by the Psalmist: The river of God is full of water: Thou hast prepared them corn, for so is the provision for it.
