1Chapter 10 — Exhortation to the practice of virtue.

2Permaneçam firmes, portanto, nessas coisas e sigam o exemplo do Senhor, sendo firmes e imutáveis ​​na fé, amando a irmandade e sendo apegados uns aos outros, unidos na verdade, exibindo a mansidão do Senhor em suas relações uns com os outros e não desprezando ninguém.

2Stand fast, therefore, in these things, and follow the example of the Lord, being firm and unchangeable in the faith, loving the brotherhood, and being attached to one another, joined together in the truth, exhibiting the meekness of the Lord in your intercourse with one another, and despising no one.

3Quando puder fazer o bem, não o adie, porque “a esmola livra da morte”.

3When you can do good, defer it not, because "alms delivers from death".

4Sujeitem-se todos uns aos outros, “tendo sua conduta irrepreensível entre os gentios”, para que ambos recebam louvor por suas boas obras, e o Senhor não seja blasfemado por seu intermédio.

4Be all of you subject one to another "having your conduct blameless among the Gentiles," that ye may both receive praise for your good works, and the Lord may not be blasphemed through you.

5Mas ai daquele por quem o nome do Senhor é blasfemado! Ensinem, portanto, a sobriedade a todos, e manifestem-na também na sua própria conduta.

5But woe to him by whom the name of the Lord is blasphemed! Teach, therefore, sobriety to all, and manifest it also in your own conduct.
