1Aconteceu que, acabando Jesus de dizer estas palavras aos seus discípulos, Maria Madalena adiantou-se, beijou os pés de Jesus e disse-lhe: Senhor meu, suporta-me e não te indignes comigo, se eu te interrogar; mas tem compaixão de nós, Senhor meu, e revela-nos todas as coisas a respeito das quais te interrogarmos. Agora, pois, Senhor meu, de que modo o Primeiro Mistério possui doze mistérios, e o Inefável possui um único e singular mistério?

1It came to pass, when Jesus had finished speaking these words unto his disciples, that Mary Magdalene came forward, kissed the feet of Jesus and said unto him: My Lord, bear with me and be not wroth with me, if I question thee; but have mercy upon us, my Lord, and reveal unto us all things on which we shall question thee. Now, therefore, my Lord, how doth the First Mystery possess twelve mysteries, and the Ineffable possess a one and only mystery?

2Jesus respondeu e disse-lhe: Na verdade ele possui um único e singular mistério, contudo aquele mistério constitui três mistérios, ainda que seja um único e singular mistério; mas o tipo de cada um deles é diferente. E ademais constitui cinco mistérios, embora seja um só; mas o tipo de cada um é diferente. De maneira que estes cinco mistérios são semelhantes entre si no mistério do reino nas heranças da Luz; mas o tipo de cada um deles é diferente. E o reino deles é mais alto e mais sublime do que todo o reino dos doze mistérios reunidos do Primeiro Mistério; porém não são iguais no reino do Primeiro Mistério no Reino da Luz.

2Jesus answered and said unto her: Indeed it possesseth a one and only mystery, yet that mystery constituteth three mysteries, although it is the one and only mystery; but the type of every one of them is different. And moreover it constituteth five mysteries, although it is a one and only one; but the type of every one is different. So that these five mysteries are alike with one another in the mystery of the kingdom in the inheritances of the Light; but the type of each of them is different. And their kingdom is higher and more exalted than the whole kingdom of the twelve mysteries together of the First Mystery; but they are not alike in the kingdom of the First Mystery in the Light-kingdom.

3Da mesma maneira também os três mistérios não são iguais no Reino da Luz; mas o tipo de cada um deles é diferente. E eles próprios também não são semelhantes no reino com o único e singular mistério do Primeiro Mistério no Reino da Luz; e o tipo de cada um dos três, e o tipo da configuração de cada um deles, é diferente uns dos outros.

3In like manner also the three mysteries are not alike in the Light-kingdom; but the type of every one of them is different. And they themselves also are not alike in the kingdom with the one and only mystery of the First Mystery in the Light-kingdom; and the type of every one of the three of them, and the type of the configuration of each of them, is different from one another.

4O primeiro mistério do Primeiro Mistério — se cumprires o seu mistério inteiramente e permaneceres e o executares com excelência em todas as suas figuras, então sais imediatamente do teu corpo, tornas-te uma grande torrente de luz e passas por todas as regiões dos governantes e por todas as regiões da Luz, estando todos com temor daquela alma, até que ela chegue à região do seu reino.

4The first mystery of the First Mystery,--if thou accomplishest its mystery altogether and standest and accomplishest it finely in all its figures, then dost thou come straightway out of thy body, become a great light-stream and pass through all the regions of the rulers and all the regions of the Light, while all are in fear of that soul, until it cometh to the region of its kingdom.

5O segundo mistério do Primeiro Mistério, por outro lado — se o executares com perfeição em todas as suas figuras —, o homem, portanto, que cumprir o seu mistério, se proferir aquele mistério sobre a cabeça de qualquer homem que estiver saindo do corpo, e o sussurrar aos seus dois ouvidos, se com efeito o homem que sai do corpo tiver recebido mistérios pela segunda vez e estiver participando da palavra da verdade — em verdade vos digo: Esse homem, ao sair do corpo de matéria, então a sua alma se tornará uma grande torrente de luz e passará por todas as regiões, até que chegue ao reino daquele mistério.

5The second mystery of the First Mystery, on the other hand,--if thou accomplishest it finely in all its figures,--the man, therefore, who shall accomplish its mystery, if he speaketh that mystery over the head of any man who goeth forth out of the body, and he speaketh it into his two ears, if indeed the man who goeth forth out of the body hath received mysteries for the second time and is sharing in the word of truth,--amēn, I say unto you: That man, if he goeth forth out of the body of matter, then will his soul become a great light-stream and pass through all the regions, until it cometh to the kingdom of that mystery.

6Mas se aquele homem não tiver recebido mistérios e não for participante das palavras da verdade — se aquele que cumpre esse mistério proferir esse mistério sobre a cabeça de um homem que estiver saindo do corpo e que não recebeu mistérios da Luz, e não participa das palavras da verdade — em verdade vos digo: Esse homem, se sair do corpo, não será julgado em nenhuma região dos governantes, nem poderá ser castigado em região alguma, nem o fogo o tocará, por causa do grande mistério do Inefável que está com ele.

6But if that man hath received no mysteries and is not sharing in the words of truth,--if he who accomplisheth that mystery, speaketh that mystery over the head of a man who cometh forth out of the body and who hath received no mysteries of the Light, and shareth not in the words of truth,--amēn, I say unto you: That man, if he cometh forth out of the body, will be judged in no region of the rulers, nor can he be chastized in any region at all, nor will the fire touch him, because of the great mystery of the Ineffable which is with him.

7E eles se apressarão com presteza e o entregarão uns aos outros em sucessão e o conduzirão de região em região e de ordem em ordem, até o levarem perante a Virgem da Luz, enquanto todas as regiões estão em pavor diante do mistério e do sinal do reino do Inefável que está com ele. E se o levarem perante a Virgem da Luz, então a Virgem da Luz verá o sinal do mistério do reino do Inefável que está com ele; a Virgem da Luz maravilha-se e põe-no à prova, mas não permite que o levem à Luz, até que ele cumpra a total cidadania da luz daquele mistério, isto é, as purezas da renúncia do mundo e também de toda a matéria nele contida.

7And they will hasten quickly and hand him over one to another in turn and lead him from region to region and from order to order, until they bring him before the Virgin of Light, while all the regions are in fear of the mystery and the sign of the kingdom of the Ineffable which is with him. And if they bring him before the Virgin of Light, then the Virgin of Light will see the sign of the mystery of the kingdom of the Ineffable which is with him; the Virgin of Light marvelleth and proveth him, but suffereth them not to bring him to the Light, until he accomplisheth the total citizenship of the light of that mystery, that is the purities of the renunciation of the world and also of the total matter therein.

8A Virgem da Luz sela-o com um selo superior e permite que, naquele mesmo mês em que saiu do corpo de matéria, desça sobre um corpo que seja justo e encontre a divindade em verdade e os mistérios superiores, para que possa herdá-los e herdar a Luz eterna, que é o dom do segundo mistério do Primeiro Mistério do Inefável.

8The Virgin of Light sealeth him with a higher seal and letteth him in that month in which he hath come out of the body of matter, light down into a body which will be righteous and find the godhead in truth and the higher mysteries, so that he may inherit them and inherit the Light eternal, which is the gift of the second mystery of the First Mystery of the Ineffable.

9O terceiro mistério daquele Inefável, por outro lado — o homem na verdade que cumprir esse mistério, não somente se ele próprio sair do corpo herdará o reino do mistério, mas se consumar esse mistério e o realizar com todas as suas figuras, isto é, se levar a cabo esse mistério e o executar com excelência e pronunciar o nome daquele mistério sobre um homem que estiver saindo do corpo e que conheceu aquele mistério — quer este tenha tardado ou não tenha tardado —, aquele que estiver nos terríveis castigos dos governantes e nos seus cruéis juízos e nos seus múltiplos fogos — em verdade vos digo: O homem que saiu do corpo — se o nome deste mistério for pronunciado a seu favor, apressar-se-ão com rapidez para fazê-lo passar e o entregarão de um a outro, até o levarem perante a Virgem da Luz. E a Virgem da Luz selá-lo-á com um selo superior, e naquele mês deixá-lo-á descer sobre um corpo justo que achará a divindade em verdade e o mistério superior, para que herde o Reino da Luz. Este, portanto, é o dom do terceiro mistério do Inefável.

9The third mystery of that Ineffable on the other hand,--the man indeed who shall accomplish that mystery, not only if he himself cometh forth out of the body, will he inherit the kingdom of the mystery, but if he complete that mystery and accomplish it with all its figures, that is if he go through with that mystery and accomplish it finely and pronounce the name of that mystery over a man who cometh forth out of the body and hath known that mystery,--let the former have delayed or rather not have delayed,--one who is in the dire chastisements of the rulers and in their dire judgments and their manifold fires,--amēn, I say unto you: The man who hath come forth out of the body,--if the name of this mystery is pronounced on his behalf, they will hasten quickly to bring him over and hand him over one to another, until they bring him before the Virgin of Light. And the Virgin of Light will seal him with a higher seal and in that month will she let him light down into the righteous body which will find the godhead in truth and the higher mystery, so that he inherit the Light-kingdom. This, therefore, is the gift of the third mystery of the Ineffable.

10Agora, pois, todo aquele que receber um dos cinco mistérios do Inefável — se sair do corpo e herdar até à região daquele mistério, então o reino desses cinco mistérios é superior ao reino dos doze mistérios do Primeiro Mistério, e é mais elevado do que todos os mistérios que estão abaixo deles. Mas esses cinco mistérios do Inefável são iguais uns aos outros no seu reino, contudo não são semelhantes aos três mistérios do Inefável.

10Now, therefore, every one who shall receive one of the five mysteries of the Ineffable,--if he cometh forth out of the body and inheriteth up to the region of that mystery, then is the kingdom of those five mysteries higher than the kingdom of the twelve mysteries of the First Mystery, and it is higher than all the mysteries which are below them. But those five mysteries of the Ineffable are alike with one another in their kingdom, yet are they not alike with the three mysteries of the Ineffable.

11Aquele, por outro lado, que receber dos três mistérios do Inefável, se sair do corpo, herdará até ao reino daquele mistério. E esses três mistérios são semelhantes entre si no reino e são mais altos e mais sublimes do que os cinco mistérios do Inefável no reino, porém não são iguais ao único e singular mistério do Inefável.

11He on the other hand who receiveth of the three mysteries of the Ineffable, if he cometh forth out of the body, will inherit up to the kingdom of that mystery. And those three mysteries are alike with one another in the kingdom and they are higher and more exalted than the five mysteries of the Ineffable in the kingdom, but they are not alike with the one and only mystery of the Ineffable.

12Aquele, por outro lado, que receber o único e singular mistério do Inefável, herdará a região de todo o reino segundo toda a sua glória, como já vos disse em outro tempo. E todo aquele que receber o mistério que está no espaço do universo do Inefável, e todos os outros mistérios que estão unidos nos Membros do Inefável, a respeito dos quais ainda não vos falei, e concernente à sua expansão e ao modo do seu estabelecimento e ao tipo de cada um, como é e por que razão é chamado o Inefável ou por que se acha expandido com todos os seus Membros e quantos Membros nele existem e todas as suas economias, sobre as quais não vos direi agora, mas quando chegar à expansão do universo vos direi tudo separadamente — a saber, as suas expansões e a sua descrição, como é, e a congregação de todos os seus Membros, que pertencem à dispensação do Único e Singular, o Deus inacessível em verdade —, até a região, portanto, até onde cada um receber os mistérios no espaço do Inefável, até essa região herdará até onde tiver recebido.

12He on the other hand who receiveth the one and only mystery of the Ineffable, will inherit the region of the whole kingdom according to its whole glory, as I have already told you at another time. And every one who shall receive the mystery which is in the space of the universe of the Ineffable, and all the other mysteries which are united in the Limbs of the Ineffable, concerning which I have not yet spoken unto you, and concerning their expansion and the manner of their setting-up and the type of every one, how it is and wherefor it is named the Ineffable or wherefor it standeth expanded with all its Limbs and how many Limbs are in it and all its economies, of which I will not tell you now, but when I come to the expansion of the universe I will tell you all severally,--to wit, its expansions and its description, how it is, and the aggregation of all its Limbs, which belong to the economy of the One and Only, the unapproachable God in truth,--up to what region, therefore, every one shall receive the mysteries in the space of the Ineffable, up to that region will he inherit up to which he hath received.

13E os de toda a região do espaço daquele Inefável não dão respostas naquela região, nem dão escusas, nem dão senhas, porque estão desprovidos de senhas e não têm recebedores, mas atravessam todas as regiões, até chegarem à região do reino do mistério que receberam. Da mesma maneira também aqueles que receberem mistérios no segundo espaço não têm respostas nem escusas, porque estão sem senhas naquele mundo, que é o espaço do primeiro mistério do Primeiro Mistério.

13And those of the whole region of the space of that Ineffable give no answers in that region, nor give they apologies, nor give they tokens, for they are without tokens and they have no receivers, but they pass through all the regions, until they come to the region of the kingdom of the mystery which they have received. In like manner also those who shall receive mysteries in the second space, they have no answers nor apologies, for they are without tokens in that world, which is the space of the first mystery of the First Mystery.

14E os do terceiro espaço, que é o exterior, o qual é o terceiro espaço de fora — cada região naquele espaço tem os seus recebedores e as suas explicações e as suas escusas e as suas senhas, as quais um dia vos direi quando eu vier a falar daquele mistério, isto é, quando vos houver declarado a expansão do universo.

14And those of the third space, which is without, which is the third space from without,--every region in that space hath its receivers and its explanations and its apologies and its tokens, which I will one day tell you when I come to speak of that mystery, that is when I shall have told you of the expansion of the universe.

15Contudo, na dissolução do universo, isto é, quando o número das almas perfeitas estiver completo e o mistério pelo qual o universo inteiramente se levantou estiver cumprido, passarei mil anos segundo os anos da Luz, sendo rei sobre todas as emanações da Luz e sobre todo o número das almas perfeitas que receberam todos os mistérios.

15Albeit at the dissolution of the universe, that is when the number of the perfect souls is completed and the mystery through which the universe altogether hath risen, is completed, I will pass a thousand years according to the years of the Light, being king over all the emanations of the Light and over the whole number of the perfect souls who have received all mysteries.
