1E o Primeiro Mistério continuou novamente no discurso e disse aos discípulos: Aconteceu então que, tendo Pistis Sophia visto que Adamas e todos os seus arcontes não podiam constrangê-la, por causa do selo da Luz que sobre ela estava, voltou-se e falou a Adamas e aos seus arcontes, dizendo:

1And the First Mystery continued again in the discourse and said unto the disciples: It came to pass then, when Pistis Sophia had seen that Adamas and all his rulers were not able to constrain her, because of the seal of the Light which was upon her, that she turned and addressed Adamas and his rulers, saying:

2Por que razão me perseguistes, ó arcontes do caos e vós, emanações do Soberbo? Não tivestes nenhum poder para prevalecer contra mim, porque o meu salvador é forte e livrou-me de todas as vossas mãos.

2Wherefore have ye pursued after me, ye rulers of the chaos and ye emanations of Self-willed? Ye have had no power to prevail against me, for my saviour is strong and hath delivered me out of all your hands.

3A Luz selou as vossas regiões e ordenou-vos que não pelejásseis contra mim. Porque maquinastes contra mim com iniquidade, a vossa iniquidade retornará sobre a vossa própria cabeça.

3The Light hath sealed your regions and hath commanded you that ye should not fight against me. Because ye have counselled against me in iniquity, your iniquity will return upon your own head.

4E porque cavastes uma cova para mim, caireis vós mesmos no fosso que fizestes.

4And because ye have digged a pit for me, ye will fall into the ditch which ye have made.

5E tendo Sophia dito estas palavras a Adamas e aos seus arcontes, voltou-se novamente e cantou louvores à Luz, dizendo:

5And when Sophia had said these words unto Adamas and his rulers, she turned again and sang praises unto the Light, saying:

6Louvarei ao Senhor segundo a sua justiça, e cantarei louvores ao nome do Senhor, o Altíssimo. Porque me livrou das mãos dos meus inimigos, e livrou da morte a minha alma.

6I will give thanks unto the Lord according to his righteousness, and I will sing praises to the name of the Lord, the Most High. For he hath saved me out of the hand of my foes, and hath delivered my soul from death.

7E quando Sophia terminou o seu cântico, calou-se.

7And when Sophia had finished her song, she held her peace.
