1E aconteceu então que, ouvindo Pistis Sophia estas palavras, alegrou-se com grande regozijo. E cantou louvores à Luz, dizendo:

1And it came to pass then, when Pistis Sophia heard these words, that she rejoiced in great joy. And she sang praises unto the Light, saying:

2Dar-te-ei graças, ó Luz, porque me livraste do caos.

2I will give thanks unto thee, O Light, for thou hast delivered me out of the chaos.

3Desataste as minhas cadeias e livraste-me das mãos do poder de rosto de leão e dos poderes com aspecto de dragão e de basilisco.

3Thou hast loosed my bonds and delivered me from the hands of the lion-faced power and from the dragon-faced and basilisk-faced powers.

4Salvaste-me das mãos do tirano Adamas e das mãos de todos os seus arcontes que me odeiam sem causa.

4Thou hast saved me out of the hands of Tyrant Adamas and out of the hands of all his rulers who hate me without a cause.

5Calcaste aos pés o poder com rosto de leão do Soberbo e despedaçaste toda a sua força.

5Thou hast trodden under foot the lion-faced power of Self-willed and hast broken all its strength.

6Louvar-te-ei na assembleia dos santos e cantarei os teus louvores no meio dos invisíveis.

6I will praise thee in the assembly of the saints and sing thy praises in the midst of the invisibles.

7Porque tu és o meu libertador e o meu refúgio para sempre. E tendo Pistis Sophia dito estas palavras, cessou o seu cântico.

7For thou art my deliverer and my refuge for ever. And when Pistis Sophia had said these words, she ceased from her song.
