1Canto-te um cântico; por teu mandamento fizeste-me descer do éon superior que está em cima, e me conduziste às regiões que estão embaixo.

1I sing a song unto thee; through thy commandment hast thou led me down out of the higher aeon which is above, and hast led me up to the regions which are below.

2E novamente por teu mandamento salvaste-me das regiões que estão embaixo, e por meio de ti retiraste dali a matéria nos meus poderes de luz, e eu a vi.

2And again through thy commandment thou hast saved me out of the regions which are below, and through thee hast thou taken there the matter in my light-powers, and I have seen it.

3E dispersaste para longe de mim as emanações do Soberbo que me afligiam e me eram hostis, e concedeste-me poder para me soltar dos laços das emanações de Adamas.

3And thou hast scattered far from me the emanations of Self-willed which constrained me and were hostile to me, and hast bestowed power on me to loose myself from the bonds of the emanations of Adamas.

4E feriste o basilisco de sete cabeças e lançaste-o fora pelas minhas mãos, e puseste-me acima da sua matéria. Destruíste-o, de sorte que a sua semente não torne a levantar-se de agora em diante.

4And thou hast smitten the basilisk with the seven heads and cast it out with my hands and hast set me above its matter. Thou hast destroyed it, so that its seed may not raise itself up from now on.

5E estavas comigo, dando-me poder em tudo isto, e a tua luz cercou-me em todas as regiões, e por meio de ti tornaste impotentes todas as emanações do Soberbo.

5And thou wert with me, giving me power in all this, and thy light surrounded me in all regions, and through thee hast thou made all the emanations of Self-willed powerless.

6Pois tiraste delas o poder da sua luz e endireitaste o meu caminho para me tirares do caos.

6For thou hast taken the power of their light from them and made straight my way to lead me out of the chaos.

7E afastaste-me das trevas materiais e retiraste delas todos os meus poderes, dos quais a luz fora arrebatada.

7And thou hast removed me from the material darknesses and taken from them all my powers, from which the light had been taken.

8Puseste neles luz purificada, e a todos os meus membros, nos quais não havia luz, deste luz purificada da Luz das Alturas.

8Thou hast put into them purified light and unto all my limbs, in which was no light, thou hast given purified light from the Light of the Height.

9E endireitaste o caminho para eles, e a luz do teu rosto tornou-se para mim vida indestrutível.

9And thou hast made straight the way for them, and the light of thy face hath become for me life indestructible.

10Tiraste-me para cima do caos, a região da desolação e do extermínio, a fim de que todas as matérias que estão naquela região fossem desfeitas, e todos os meus poderes fossem renovados na tua luz, e a tua luz estivesse em todos eles.

10Thou hast led me forth above the chaos, the region of chaos and extermination, in order that all the matters in it which are in that region, might be unloosed and all my powers be renewed in thy light, and thy light be in them all.
