1Na minha angústia clamei a ti, ó Senhor, e tu me ouviste.

1I cried unto thee, O Lord, in my oppression, and thou hearkenest unto me.

2Ó Senhor, livra a minha alma dos lábios injustos e das línguas enganosas.

2O Lord, save my soul from unjust lips and from crafty tongues.

3Que se te dará, ou que se te acrescentará, com uma língua fraudulenta?

3What will be given unto thee or what will be added unto thee with a crafty tongue?

4As flechas do poderoso são aguçadas com brasas vivas do deserto.

4The arrows of the strong one are made sharp with the coal of the desert.

5Ai de mim, que a minha morada está longe, e habitei nas tendas de Quedar!

5Woe unto me, that my dwelling is far off, and I dwelt in the tents of Kedar.

6A minha alma tem habitado em muitas regiões como peregrina.

6My soul hath dwelt in many regions as a guest.
