1Maria Madalena adiantou-se e disse: "Senhor meu, se uma alma tiver caído nos cárceres do dragão das trevas exteriores, há para ela algum caminho de salvação, ou será destruída para sempre?"

1Mary Magdalene started forward and said: "My Lord, if a soul hath fallen into the dungeons of the dragon of the outer darkness, is there any way of salvation for it, or will it be destroyed for ever?"

2O Salvador respondeu e disse a Maria: "Se uma alma estiver no dragão das trevas exteriores, e se os seus irmãos ou parentes que estão no corpo realizarem o terceiro mistério do Inefável em seu favor,

2The Saviour answered and said unto Mary: "If a soul is in the dragon of the outer darkness, and if its brethren or kinsmen who are in the body accomplish the third mystery of the Ineffable on its behalf,

3"Então os recebedores apressar-se-ão e arrebatarão aquela alma da boca do dragão das trevas exteriores, e conduzi-la-ão perante a Virgem da Luz.

3"Then will the receivers hasten and snatch that soul out of the mouth of the dragon of the outer darkness, and they will bring it before the Virgin of Light.

4"E a Virgem da Luz selá-la-á com o selo superior e lançá-la-á num corpo justo que encontrará os mistérios da Luz e herdará o Reino da Luz."

4"And the Virgin of Light will seal it with the higher seal and cast it into a righteous body which will find the mysteries of the Light and inherit the Light-kingdom."
