1Sêneca a Paulo, saudações. Salve, meu caríssimo Paulo. Se vós, varão tão preclaro e amado em tudo, estiverdes — não digo apenas achegado —, mas intimamente associado a mim e ao meu nome, mui bem será para o vosso Sêneca. Sendo vós, portanto, o ápice e o mais alto cume de todo o povo, não quereríeis que eu me alegrasse de estar tão perto de vós a ponto de ser contado como uma segunda parte da vossa alma?

1Seneca to Paul, greeting. Hail, my dearest Paul.
