Pastor de Hermas 9

1E pela sua própria sabedoria e providência criou sua santa Igreja, que ele também abençoou – eis que ele remove os céus e as montanhas, as colinas e os mares, e todas as coisas se tornarão planas para seus eleitos.

1And by his own wisdom and providence created his holy Church, which he also blessed – behold he removes the heavens and the mountains, the hills and the seas, and all things will become plain for his elect.

2Para que possa lhes cumprir a promessa que fez com grande glória e alegria, contanto que guardem as ordenanças de Deus que receberam com grande fé.

2That he may fulfill to them the promise he made with great glory and joy, provided they keep the ordinances of God which they received with great faith.

3Quando terminou de ler e se levantou da cadeira, vieram quatro jovens e levaram a cadeira para o leste.

3When she finished reading and rose from the chair, four young men came and took the chair to the east.

4Ela me chamou e tocou meu peito e disse: Agradou-te minha leitura? Eu disse: Senhora, estas últimas palavras me agradam, mas as primeiras eram duras e difíceis.

4She called me and touched my chest and said: Did my reading please you? I said: Lady, these last words please me, but the first were hard and difficult.
