1E no meio da planície ele me mostrou uma grande rocha branca que tinha subido da planície. A rocha era mais alta que as montanhas, quadrada, de modo a poder conter o mundo inteiro.

1And in the middle of the plain he showed me a great white rock that had risen from the plain. The rock was higher than the mountains, square, so as to be able to contain the whole world.

2E aquela rocha era antiga, tendo uma porta nela; e a porta parecia ter sido cortada recentemente da rocha. E a porta brilhava tanto que a luz dela era como a do sol.

2And that rock was ancient, having a door in it; and the door seemed to have been cut recently from the rock. And the door shone so much that its light was like that of the sun.

3E ao redor da porta estavam doze virgens. As quatro que estavam nos cantos pareciam ser as mais gloriosas, mas as outras também eram gloriosas.

3And around the door were twelve virgins. The four who stood at the corners seemed to be the most glorious, but the others were also glorious.

4E elas estavam vestidas com túnicas de linho, lindamente cingidas, e tinham seus ombros direitos nus, como se estivessem prontas para carregar um fardo.

4And they were dressed in linen tunics, beautifully girded, and had their right shoulders bare, as if they were ready to carry a burden.
