1Então o anjo da guarda das ovelhas disse ao povo: 'Apresentai os gravetos que recebestes.'

1Then the angel guarding the sheep said to the people: 'Present the sticks you received.'

2E eles os apresentaram. E como ele os recebia, ele examinava cada um dos gravetos. E alguns dos gravetos ele encontrou secos e, por assim dizer, comidos por vermes. O anjo ordenou que aqueles que apresentassem tais gravetos ficassem à parte.

2And they presented them. And as he received them, he examined each of the sticks. And some of the sticks he found dry and, so to speak, eaten by worms. The angel ordered those who presented such sticks to stand apart.

3E outros apresentaram gravetos secos, mas não estavam comidos por vermes. O anjo ordenou que estes também ficassem à parte.

4E outros apresentaram gravetos meio secos; estes também ficaram à parte. E outros apresentaram gravetos meio secos e tendo rachaduras; estes também ficaram à parte.

4And others presented half-dry sticks; these also stood apart. And others presented sticks half-dry and having cracks; these also stood apart.

5E outros apresentaram gravetos que estavam verdes e tendo rachaduras; estes também ficaram à parte. E outros apresentaram gravetos metade verdes e metade secos; estes também ficaram à parte.

5And others presented sticks that were green and having cracks; these also stood apart. And others presented sticks half green and half dry; these also stood apart.

6E outros trouxeram seus gravetos dois terços verdes e um terço seco; estes também ficaram à parte. E outros trouxeram seus gravetos dois terços secos e um terço verde; estes também ficaram à parte.

6And others brought their sticks two-thirds green and one-third dry; these also stood apart. And others brought their sticks two-thirds dry and one-third green; these also stood apart.

7E outros apresentaram seus gravetos quase todos verdes, mas uma parte muito pequena deles estava seca, e eles tinham rachaduras; estes também ficaram à parte.

7And others presented their sticks almost all green, but a very small part of them was dry, and they had cracks; these also stood apart.

8E outros trouxeram seus gravetos verdes, assim como os tinham recebido do anjo. E a maioria da multidão apresentou tais gravetos; e o anjo alegrou-se sobremodo com estes; estes também ficaram à parte.

8And others brought their sticks green, just as they had received them from the angel. And the majority of the crowd presented such sticks; and the angel rejoiced exceedingly with these; these also stood apart.

9E outros apresentaram seus gravetos verdes e tendo rebentos; estes também ficaram à parte. E sobre estes também o anjo alegrou-se sobremodo.

9And others presented their sticks green and having shoots; these also stood apart. And over these also the angel rejoiced exceedingly.

10E outros apresentaram seus gravetos verdes e tendo rebentos, e os rebentos tinham, por assim dizer, algum fruto. E os homens cujos gravetos foram encontrados tais estavam excessivamente alegres; e o anjo exultou sobre eles, e o pastor também estava muito alegre sobre eles.

10And others presented their sticks green and having shoots, and the shoots had, so to speak, some fruit. And the men whose sticks were found such were exceedingly joyful; and the angel exulted over them, and the shepherd was also very joyful over them.
