Pastor de Hermas 67

1Ele mostrou-me um grande salgueiro, cobrindo planícies e montanhas, e sob a sombra do salgueiro tinham vindo todos os que eram chamados pelo nome do Senhor.

1He showed me a great willow, covering plains and mountains, and under the shadow of the willow had come all who were called by the name of the Lord.

2E um certo anjo do Senhor, glorioso e muito alto, estava em pé ao lado do salgueiro, tendo uma grande foice, e ele cortava ramos do salgueiro, e os dava ao povo que estava sob a sombra do salgueiro.

2And a certain angel of the Lord, glorious and very tall, was standing beside the willow, having a great sickle, and he cut branches from the willow, and gave them to the people who were under the shadow of the willow.

3E a todos eles ele dava pequenos gravetos, de cerca de um côvado de comprimento. E depois que todos receberam os gravetos, o anjo pôs de lado a foice, e aquele salgueiro estava inteiro, assim como eu o tinha visto antes.

3And to all of them he gave small sticks, about a cubit in length. And after everyone received the sticks, the angel put aside the sickle, and that willow was whole, just as I had seen it before.
