1Ouvi, disse ele: O campo é este mundo, e o senhor do campo é aquele que criou todas as coisas e as aperfeiçoou e as fortaleceu.

1Listen, he said: The field is this world, and the lord of the field is he who created all things and perfected them and strengthened them.

2E o filho é o Espírito Santo; e o escravo é o Filho de Deus; e as vinhas são este povo que ele plantou.

2And the son is the Holy Spirit; and the slave is the Son of God; and the vines are this people whom he planted.

3E as cercas são os anjos do Senhor que mantêm seu povo junto; e as ervas que são arrancadas da vinha são as transgressões dos servos de Deus.

3And the fences are the angels of the Lord who keep his people together; and the weeds that are pulled from the vineyard are the transgressions of the servants of God.

4E os alimentos que ele enviou da ceia são os mandamentos que ele deu ao seu povo através de seu Filho.

4And the foods he sent from the supper are the commandments he gave to his people through his Son.
