1PARÁBOLAS: Disse-me: Sabeis que vós, servos de Deus, habitais em terra estrangeira.

1PARABLES: He said to me: You know that you, servants of God, dwell in a foreign land.

2Porque vossa cidade está longe desta cidade. Se, portanto, conheceis vossa cidade em que haveis de habitar, por que aqui preparais campos e custosas construções e edifícios e moradas vazias?

2Because your city is far from this city. If, therefore, you know your city in which you are to dwell, why do you prepare here fields and costly constructions and buildings and empty dwellings?

3Aquele que prepara estas coisas para esta cidade não pensa em retornar à sua própria cidade.

3He who prepares these things for this city does not think of returning to his own city.

4Tolo e indeciso e miserável homem, não percebes que todas estas coisas são estranhas a ti, e estão sob o poder de outro?

4Foolish and double-minded and miserable man, do you not perceive that all these things are foreign to you, and are under the power of another?
