Pastor de Hermas 30

1SEXTO MANDAMENTO: Ordeno-te, disse ele, que tenhas fé e temas a Deus.

1SIXTH COMMANDMENT: I command you, he said, to have faith and fear God.

2Eu disse: Senhor, ouço que há dois anjos com o homem, um de justiça e outro de maldade.

2I said: Lord, I hear that there are two angels with man, one of righteousness and one of wickedness.

3Ele disse: Sim, há. Mas deves temer o anjo de justiça. E quando a ira vier a ti, ou a amargura, sabe que ele está em ti.

3He said: Yes, there are. But you must fear the angel of righteousness. And when anger comes to you, or bitterness, know that he is in you.

4E também o desejo de muitas ações, e a extravagância, e a embriaguez, e vários deleites que não são bons. Se estas coisas entrarem em teu coração, sabe que o anjo da maldade está contigo.

4And also the desire for many actions, and extravagance, and drunkenness, and various delights that are not good. If these things enter your heart, know that the angel of wickedness is with you.
