Pastor de Hermas 25

1PRIMEIRO MANDAMENTO: Primeiro de tudo, crê que Deus é um, que criou todas as coisas e as organizou, e do nada fez todas as coisas existirem.

1FIRST COMMANDMENT: First of all, believe that God is one, who created all things and organized them, and from nothing made all things exist.

2Ele compreende todas as coisas, sendo ele próprio incompreensível. Crê nele, portanto, e teme-o, e temendo-o, sê continente.

2He comprehends all things, being himself incomprehensible. Believe in him, therefore, and fear him, and fearing him, be continent.

3Guarda estas coisas e lançarás de ti toda maldade, e te revestirás de toda virtude de justiça, e viverás para Deus, se guardares este mandamento.

3Keep these things and you will cast from you all wickedness, and you will clothe yourself with every virtue of righteousness, and you will live for God, if you keep this commandment.
