Pastor de Hermas 2

1Atravessei o rio e cheguei à planície, onde dobrei os joelhos e comecei a orar ao Senhor e a confessar meus pecados.

1I crossed the river and reached the plain, where I bent my knees and began to pray to the Lord and confess my sins.

2Enquanto orava, o céu se abriu e vi aquela mulher que eu desejava saudando-me do céu, dizendo: Hermas, salve!

2While I was praying, the heaven opened and I saw that woman I desired greeting me from heaven, saying: Hermas, hail!

3Olhando para ela, perguntei: Senhora, que fazes aqui? Ela respondeu: Fui levada ao céu para acusar teus pecados diante do Senhor.

3Looking at her, I asked: Lady, what are you doing here? She answered: I was taken up to heaven to accuse your sins before the Lord.

4Disse eu: Agora tu me acusas? Ela disse: Não, mas ouve as palavras que te direi. Deus, que habita nos céus e criou o que existe do nada, está irado contigo, porque pecaste contra mim.

4I said: Now you accuse me? She said: No, but hear the words I will tell you. God, who dwells in the heavens and created what exists from nothing, is angry with you, because you sinned against me.
