Pastor de Hermas 19

1Quando disse isto, quis partir; mas caí aos seus pés e lhe supliquei pelo Senhor que me mostrasse a visão que prometera.

1When she said this, she wanted to leave; but I fell at her feet and begged her by the Lord to show me the vision she had promised.

2Então ela novamente me tomou pela mão e me levantou e me sentou no banco à esquerda, enquanto ela se sentava à direita.

2Then she took me again by the hand and raised me and sat me on the bench on the left, while she sat on the right.

3E levantando uma certa vara brilhante, disse: Vês uma grande coisa? Eu disse: Senhora, não vejo nada.

3And raising a certain shining rod, she said: Do you see a great thing? I said: Lady, I see nothing.

4Ela me disse: Vês, bem diante de ti uma grande torre sendo construída sobre águas, com pedras quadradas brilhantes?

4She said to me: Do you see, right before you, a great tower being built upon waters, with bright square stones?
