Oração de Azarias 1

1E eles caminharam no meio do fogo, louvando a Deus e bendizendo ao Senhor.

1And they walked in the midst of the fire, praising God, and blessing the Lord.

2Então Azarias levantou-se e orou desta maneira; e abrindo a boca no meio do fogo disse:

2Then Azarias stood up, and prayed on this manner; and opening his mouth in the midst of the fire said,

3Bendito és tu, ó Senhor Deus de nossos pais; o teu nome é digno de ser louvado e glorificado para sempre:

3Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: thy name is worthy to be praised and glorified for evermore:

4Pois tu és justo em todas as coisas que nos fizeste; sim, todas as tuas obras são verdadeiras, os teus caminhos são retos e todos os teus julgamentos, verdadeiros.

4For thou art righteous in all the things that thou hast done to us: yea, true are all thy works, thy ways are right, and all thy judgments truth.

5Em todas as coisas que você trouxe sobre nós e sobre a cidade santa de nossos pais, sim, Jerusalém, você executou o verdadeiro julgamento: pois de acordo com a verdade e o julgamento você trouxe todas essas coisas sobre nós por causa de nossos pecados.

5In all the things that thou hast brought upon us, and upon the holy city of our fathers, even Jerusalem, thou hast executed true judgment: for according to truth and judgment didst thou bring all these things upon us because of our sins.

6Porque pecamos e cometemos iniqüidades, afastando-nos de ti.

6For we have sinned and committed iniquity, departing from thee.

7Em todas as coisas transgredimos e não obedecemos aos teus mandamentos, nem os guardamos, nem fizemos como nos ordenaste, para que tudo nos fosse bem.

7In all things have we trespassed, and not obeyed thy commandments, nor kept them, neither done as thou hast commanded us, that it might go well with us.

8Portanto, tudo o que você trouxe sobre nós e tudo o que você fez para nós, você fez com verdadeiro julgamento.

8Wherefore all that thou hast brought upon us, and every thing that thou hast done to us, thou hast done in true judgment.

9E você nos entregou nas mãos de inimigos sem lei, dos mais odiosos abandonadores de Deus, e de um rei injusto e dos mais perversos de todo o mundo.

9And thou didst deliver us into the hands of lawless enemies, most hateful forsakers of God, and to an unjust king, and the most wicked in all the world.

10E agora que não podemos abrir a boca, tornamo-nos uma vergonha e um opróbrio para os teus servos; e para aqueles que te adoram.

10And now we cannot open our mouths, we are become a shame and reproach to thy servants; and to them that worship thee.

11Contudo, não nos entregues totalmente, por amor do teu nome, nem anules a tua aliança.

11Yet deliver us not up wholly, for thy name’s sake, neither disannul thou thy covenant:

12E não faças com que a tua misericórdia se afaste de nós, por amor do teu amado Abraão, por amor do teu servo Isaque, e por amor do teu santo Israel;

12And cause not thy mercy to depart from us, for thy beloved Abraham’s sake, for thy servant Issac’s sake, and for thy holy Israel’s sake;

13A quem você falou e prometeu que multiplicaria sua semente como as estrelas do céu e como a areia que jaz na praia do mar.

13To whom thou hast spoken and promised, that thou wouldest multiply their seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that lieth upon the seashore.

14Pois nós, ó Senhor, nos tornamos menos que qualquer nação, e seremos mantidos sob este dia em todo o mundo por causa dos nossos pecados.

14For we, O Lord, are become less than any nation, and be kept under this day in all the world because of our sins.

15Nem há neste tempo príncipe, ou profeta, ou líder, ou holocausto, ou sacrifício, ou oblação, ou incenso, ou lugar para sacrificar diante de ti, e para encontrar misericórdia.

15Neither is there at this time prince, or prophet, or leader, or burnt offering, or sacrifice, or oblation, or incense, or place to sacrifice before thee, and to find mercy.

16No entanto, com um coração contrito e um espírito humilde, sejamos aceitos.

16Nevertheless in a contrite heart and an humble spirit let us be accepted.

17Como nos holocaustos de carneiros e novilhos, e como em dez milhares de cordeiros gordos: assim seja hoje o nosso sacrifício diante de ti, e concede que possamos ir totalmente após ti; porque não serão confundidos os que confiam em ti.

17Like as in the burnt offerings of rams and bullocks, and like as in ten thousands of fat lambs: so let our sacrifice be in thy sight this day, and grant that we may wholly go after thee: for they shall not be confounded that put their trust in thee.

18E agora te seguimos de todo o coração, te tememos e buscamos a tua face.

18And now we follow thee with all our heart, we fear thee, and seek thy face.

19Não nos envergonhes, mas trata-nos segundo a tua benignidade e segundo a multidão das tuas misericórdias.

19Put us not to shame: but deal with us after thy lovingkindness, and according to the multitude of thy mercies.

20Livra-nos também segundo as tuas maravilhas, e dá glória ao teu nome, ó Senhor; e sejam envergonhados todos os que fazem mal aos teus servos;

20Deliver us also according to thy marvellous works, and give glory to thy name, O Lord: and let all them that do thy servants hurt be ashamed;

21E que eles sejam confundidos em todo o seu poder e força, e que a sua força seja quebrada;

21And let them be confounded in all their power and might, and let their strength be broken;

22E deixe-os saber que tu és Deus, o único Deus, e glorioso sobre o mundo inteiro.

22And let them know that thou art God, the only God, and glorious over the whole world.

23E os servos do rei, que os colocaram lá dentro, não cessaram de aquecer o forno com resina, piche, estopa e lenha pequena;

23And the king’s servants, that put them in, ceased not to make the oven hot with rosin, pitch, tow, and small wood;

24De modo que a chama subiu quarenta e nove côvados acima da fornalha.

24So that the flame streamed forth above the furnace forty and nine cubits.

25E passou e queimou os caldeus que encontrou perto da fornalha.

25And it passed through, and burned those Chaldeans it found about the furnace.

26Mas o anjo do Senhor desceu ao forno juntamente com Azarias e os seus companheiros, e extinguiu a chama do fogo do forno;

26But the angel of the Lord came down into the oven together with Azarias and his fellows, and smote the flame of the fire out of the oven;

27E fez o meio da fornalha como se fosse um vento úmido e sibilante, de modo que o fogo não os tocou, nem os machucou nem perturbou.

27And made the midst of the furnace as it had been a moist whistling wind, so that the fire touched them not at all, neither hurt nor troubled them.

28Então os três, como que de uma só boca, louvaram, glorificaram e abençoaram a Deus na fornalha, dizendo:

28Then the three, as out of one mouth, praised, glorified, and blessed, God in the furnace, saying,

29Bendito és tu, ó Senhor Deus de nossos pais: e para ser louvado e exaltado acima de tudo para sempre.

29Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.

30E bendito seja o teu glorioso e santo nome: e para ser louvado e exaltado acima de tudo para sempre.

30And blessed is thy glorious and holy name: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.

31Bendito sejas tu no templo da tua santa glória: e para que sejas louvado e glorificado acima de tudo para sempre.

31Blessed art thou in the temple of thine holy glory: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.

32Bem-aventurado és tu que contemplas as profundezas, e te assentas sobre os querubins: e para ser louvado e exaltado acima de tudo para sempre.

32Blessed art thou that beholdest the depths, and sittest upon the cherubims: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.

33Bendito sejas tu no trono glorioso do teu reino: e para ser louvado e glorificado acima de tudo para sempre.

33Blessed art thou on the glorious throne of thy kingdom: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.

34Bendito sejas tu no firmamento do céu: e acima de tudo para ser louvado e glorificado para sempre.

34Blessed art thou in the firmament of heaven: and above all to be praised and glorified for ever.

35Ó todos vós, obras do Senhor, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre,

35O all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever,

36Ó céus, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

36O ye heavens, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever.

37Ó anjos do Senhor, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

37O ye angels of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

38Ó todos vocês, águas que estão acima do céu, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

38O all ye waters that be above the heaven, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

39Ó todos vós, poderes do Senhor, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

39O all ye powers of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

40Ó sol e lua, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

40O ye sun and moon, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

41Ó estrelas do céu, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

41O ye stars of heaven, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

42Ó toda chuva e orvalho, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

42O every shower and dew, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

43Ó todos vós, ventos, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre,

43O all ye winds, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever,

44Ó fogo e calor, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

44O ye fire and heat, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

45Ó inverno e verão, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

45O ye winter and summer, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

46Ó orvalho e tempestades de neve, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

460 ye dews and storms of snow, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

47Ó vós, noites e dias, bendizei o Senhor: abençoai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

47O ye nights and days, bless ye the Lord: bless and exalt him above all for ever.

48Ó vós, luz e trevas, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

48O ye light and darkness, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

49Ó vós, gelo e frio, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

49O ye ice and cold, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

50Ó vós, geada e neve, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

50O ye frost and snow, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

51Ó relâmpagos e nuvens, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

51O ye lightnings and clouds, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

52Ó, que a terra abençoe o Senhor: louve-o e exalte-o acima de tudo para sempre.

52O let the earth bless the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

53Ó montes e outeiros, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

53O ye mountains and little hills, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

54Ó todos vós, seres que crescem na terra, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

54O all ye things that grow in the earth, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

55Ó montes, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

55O ye mountains, bless ye the Lord: Praise and exalt him above all for ever.

56Ó vós, mares e rios, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

56O ye seas and rivers, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

57Ó baleias, e todos os que se movem nas águas, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

57O ye whales, and all that move in the waters, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

58Ó todos vós, aves do céu, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

58O all ye fowls of the air, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

59Ó todos vocês, animais e gado, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

59O all ye beasts and cattle, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

60Ó vós, filhos dos homens, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

60O ye children of men, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

61Ó Israel, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

63Ó servos do Senhor, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

64Ó vós, espíritos e almas dos justos, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

64O ye spirits and souls of the righteous, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

65Ó vós, homens santos e humildes de coração, bendizei o Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre.

65O ye holy and humble men of heart, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

66Ó Ananias, Azarias e Misael, bendizei ao Senhor: louvai-o e exaltai-o acima de tudo para sempre: longe ele nos libertou do inferno, e nos salvou da mão da morte, e nos livrou do meio da fornalha e da chama ardente: mesmo do meio do fogo ele nos livrou.

66O Ananias, Azarias, and Misael, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever: far he hath delivered us from hell, and saved us from the hand of death, and delivered us out of the midst of the furnace and burning flame: even out of the midst of the fire hath he delivered us.

67Dai graças ao Senhor, porque ele é misericordioso; porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.

67O give thanks unto the Lord, because he is gracious: for his mercy endureth for ever.

68Ó todos vós que adorais o Senhor, bendizei o Deus dos deuses, louvai-o e dai-lhe graças: porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.

68O all ye that worship the Lord, bless the God of gods, praise him, and give him thanks: for his mercy endureth for ever.
