Odes de Salomão 39

1Rios furiosos são o poder do Senhor; eles enviam de cabeça para baixo aqueles que o desprezam.

1Raging rivers are the power of the Lord; they send headlong those who despise him.

2E emaranham seus caminhos, e destroem suas travessias.

2And they entangle their paths, and destroy their crossings.

3E arrebatam seus corpos, e corrompem suas naturezas.

3And they snatch their bodies, and corrupt their natures.

4Pois são mais rápidos que relâmpagos, ainda mais rápidos.

4For they are swifter than lightnings, even more rapid.

5Mas aqueles que os atravessam em fé não serão perturbados.

5But those who cross them in faith shall not be disturbed.

6E aqueles que andam neles sem falha não serão abalados.

6And those who walk on them without blemish shall not be shaken.

7Porque o sinal neles é o Senhor, e o sinal é o Caminho para aqueles que atravessam em nome do Senhor.

7Because the sign in them is the Lord, and the sign is the Way for those who cross in the name of the Lord.

8Portanto, vesti o nome do Altíssimo e conhecei-o, e atravessareis sem perigo; porque rios serão obedientes a vós.

8Therefore, put on the name of the Most High and know him, and you shall cross without danger; because rivers shall be obedient to you.

9O Senhor os represou por sua Palavra, e ele andou e os atravessou a pé.

9The Lord has bridged them by his Word, and he walked and crossed them on foot.

10E seus passos permanecem firmes sobre as águas, e não foram destruídos; mas são como uma viga de madeira que é construída sobre a verdade.

10And his steps stand firm on the waters, and were not destroyed; but are like a beam of wood that is built on truth.

11Deste lado e daquele as ondas foram levantadas, mas os passos de nosso Senhor Messias permanecem firmes.

11On this side and on that the waves were raised, but the steps of our Lord Messiah stand firm.

12E não são nem apagados, nem destruídos.

12And are neither blotted out, nor destroyed.

13E o Caminho foi designado para aqueles que atravessam depois dele, e para aqueles que aderem ao caminho de sua fé; e que adoram seu nome. Aleluia.

13And the Way has been assigned for those who cross after him, and for those who adhere to the way of his faith; and who worship his name. Hallelujah.
