Odes de Salomão 38

1Subi para a luz da Verdade como para uma carruagem, e a Verdade me guiou e me fez vir.

1I went up to the light of Truth as to a chariot, and the Truth guided me and made me come.

2E me fez passar sobre abismos e golfos, e me salvou de penhascos e vales.

2And made me pass over chasms and gulfs, and saved me from cliffs and valleys.

3E tornou-se para mim um porto de salvação, e me colocou no lugar da vida imortal.

3And became for me a haven of salvation, and set me on the place of immortal life.

4E ele foi comigo e me fez descansar e não me permitiu errar; porque ele era e é a Verdade.

4And he went with me and made me rest and did not permit me to err; because he was and is the Truth.

5E não houve perigo para mim porque andei constantemente com ele; e não errei em nada porque o obedeci.

5And there was no danger to me because I walked constantly with him; and I did not err in anything because I obeyed him.

6Pois o Erro fugiu dele, e nunca o encontrou.

6For Error fled from him, and never met him.

7Mas a Verdade estava procedendo no caminho reto, e o que quer que eu não entendesse ele exibia para mim:

7But Truth was proceeding in the right way, and whatever I did not understand he exhibited to me:

8Todos os venenos do erro, e as dores da morte que são consideradas doçura.

8All the poisons of error, and the pains of death which are considered sweetness.

9E a corrupção do Corruptor, eu vi quando a noiva que estava corrompendo estava adornada, e o noivo que corrompe e é corrompido.

9And the corruption of the Corruptor, I saw when the bride who was being corrupted was adorned, and the bridegroom who corrupts and is corrupted.

10E perguntei à Verdade, Quem são estes? E ele me disse: Este é o Enganador e o Erro.

10And I asked the Truth, Who are these? And he said to me: This is the Deceiver and the Error.

11E imitam o Amado e sua Noiva, e fazem o mundo errar e o corrompem.

11And they imitate the Beloved and his Bride, and make the world err and corrupt it.

12E convidam muitos para a festa de casamento, e permitem que bebam o vinho de sua intoxicação;

12And they invite many to the wedding feast, and let them drink the wine of their intoxication;

13Então os fazem vomitar sua sabedoria e seu conhecimento, e preparam para eles a falta de mente.

13Then make them vomit up their wisdom and knowledge, and prepare for them lack of understanding.

14Então os abandonam; e assim eles tropeçam como homens loucos e corrompidos.

14Then they abandon them; and thus they stumble about like mad and corrupted men.

15Visto que não há entendimento neles, nem o buscam.

15Since there is no understanding in them, neither do they seek it.

16Mas eu fui feito sábio para não cair nas mãos dos Enganadores, e eu mesmo me alegrei porque a Verdade tinha ido comigo.

16But I was made wise so as not to fall into the hands of the Deceivers, and I myself rejoiced because the Truth had gone with me.

17Pois fui estabelecido e vivi e fui redimido, e meus fundamentos foram lançados por conta da mão do Senhor; porque ele me plantou.

17For I was established and lived and was redeemed, and my foundations were laid on account of the hand of the Lord; because he planted me.

18Pois ele fixou a raiz, e a regou e a dotou e a abençoou, e seus frutos serão para sempre.

18For he set the root, and watered it and endowed it and blessed it, and its fruits shall be forever.

19Penetrou profundamente e brotou e espalhou-se, e estava cheia e foi aumentada.

19It penetrated deeply and sprang up and spread abroad, and was full and enlarged.

20E o Senhor sozinho foi glorificado, em seu plantio e em seu cultivo;

20And the Lord alone was glorified, in his planting and in his cultivation;

21Em seu cuidado e na bênção de seus lábios, no belo plantio de sua mão direita;

21In his care and in the blessing of his lips, in the beautiful planting of his right hand;

22E na realização de seu plantio, e no entendimento de sua mente. Aleluia.

22And in the attainment of his planting, and in the understanding of his mind. Hallelujah.
