Odes de Salomão 31

1Abismos desapareceram diante do Senhor, e a escuridão dissipou-se diante de sua aparência.

1Abysses vanished before the Lord, and darkness dissipated before his appearance.

2O erro errou e pereceu por causa dele; e o desprezo não recebeu caminho, pois foi submergido pela verdade do Senhor.

2Error erred and perished on account of him; and contempt received no way, for it was submerged by the truth of the Lord.

3Ele abriu sua boca e falou graça e alegria; e recitou um novo canto ao seu nome.

3He opened his mouth and spoke grace and joy; and he recited a new song to his name.

4Então ele levantou sua voz em direção ao Altíssimo, e ofereceu a ele aqueles que se tornaram filhos através dele.

4Then he lifted his voice toward the Most High, and offered to him those who had become sons through him.

5E sua face foi justificada, porque assim seu Santo Pai tinha dado a ele.

5And his face was justified, because thus his Holy Father had given to him.

6Vinde, vós que fostes afligidos, e recebei alegria.

6Come forth, you who have been afflicted, and receive joy.

7E possuí-vos através da graça, e tomai para vós a vida imortal.

7And possess yourselves through grace, and take to yourselves immortal life.

8E condenaram-me quando me levantei, a mim que não tinha sido condenado.

8And they condemned me when I arose, me who had not been condemned.

9Então dividiram meu despojo, embora nada lhes fosse devido.

9Then they divided my spoil, though nothing was due to them.

10Mas suportei e calei-me e fiquei em silêncio, para que não fosse perturbado por eles.

10But I endured and was silent and still, that I might not be disturbed by them.

11Mas fiquei imperturbável como uma rocha sólida, que é continuamente golpeada por colunas de ondas e perdura.

11But I stood undisturbed like a solid rock, which is continuously struck by columns of waves and endures.

12E suportei a amargura deles por causa da humildade; para que eu pudesse redimir minha nação e instruí-la.

12And I bore their bitterness because of humility; that I might redeem my nation and instruct it.

13E para que eu não anulasse as promessas aos patriarcas, a quem fui prometido para a salvação de sua descendência. Aleluia.

13And that I might not nullify the promises to the patriarchs, to whom I was promised for the salvation of their seed. Hallelujah.
