Odes de Salomão 24

1A pomba voou sobre a cabeça de nosso Senhor Messias, porque ele era a cabeça dela.

1The dove flew over the head of our Lord Messiah, because he was her head.

2E ela cantou sobre ele, e sua voz foi ouvida.

2And she sang over him, and her voice was heard.

3Então os habitantes ficaram com medo, e os estrangeiros foram perturbados.

3Then the inhabitants were afraid, and the strangers were disturbed.

4O pássaro começou a voar, e toda coisa rastejante morreu em seu buraco.

4The bird began to fly, and every creeping thing died in its hole.

5E os abismos foram abertos e fechados; e eles estavam buscando o Senhor como aquelas que estão prestes a dar à luz.

5And the abysses were opened and closed; and they were seeking the Lord like those who are about to give birth.

6Mas ele não foi dado a eles para alimento, porque não pertencia a eles.

6But he was not given to them for food, because he did not belong to them.

7Mas os abismos foram submergidos no selo do Senhor, e pereceram no pensamento com o qual tinham permanecido desde o início.

7But the abysses were submerged in the seal of the Lord, and they perished in the thought with which they had remained from the beginning.

8Pois estavam em trabalho de parto desde o início, e o fim de seu trabalho foi vida.

8For they were in labor from the beginning, and the end of their labor was life.

9E todos eles que estavam em falta pereceram, porque não foram capazes de expressar a palavra para que pudessem permanecer.

9And all those who were lacking perished, because they were not able to express the word that they might remain.

10E o Senhor destruiu os dispositivos de todos aqueles que não tinham a verdade com eles.

10And the Lord destroyed the devices of all those who had not the truth with them.

11Pois careciam de sabedoria, eles que se exaltavam em sua mente.

11For they lacked wisdom, they who exalted themselves in their mind.

12Então foram rejeitados, porque a verdade não estava com eles.

12Then they were rejected, because the truth was not with them.

13Pois o Senhor revelou seu caminho, e espalhou amplamente sua graça.

13For the Lord revealed his way, and spread abroad his grace.

14E aqueles que entenderam conheceram sua santidade. Aleluia.

14And those who understood knew his holiness. Hallelujah.
