Odes de Salomão 22

1Aquele que me fez descer do alto, e ascender das regiões inferiores;

1He who brought me down from on high, and ascended me up from the lower regions;

2E aquele que reúne o que está no Meio, e os lança para mim;

2And he who gathers what is in the Middle, and throws them to me;

3Aquele que espalhou meus inimigos, e meus adversários;

3He who scattered my enemies, and my adversaries;

4Aquele que me deu autoridade sobre laços, para que eu pudesse desatá-los;

4He who gave me authority over bonds, that I might loose them;

5Aquele que derrubou pelas minhas mãos o dragão com sete cabeças, e me colocou em suas raízes para que eu pudesse destruir sua semente;

5He who by my hands overthrew the dragon with seven heads, and set me at its roots that I might destroy its seed;

6Tu estiveste lá e me ajudaste, e em cada lugar teu nome me cercou.

6You were there and helped me, and in every place your name surrounded me.

7Tua mão direita destruiu seu veneno maligno, e tua mão nivelou o Caminho para aqueles que creem em ti.

7Your right hand destroyed his evil poison, and your hand leveled the Way for those who believe in you.

8E escolheu-os das sepulturas, e separou-os dos mortos.

8And it chose them from the graves, and separated them from the dead.

9Tomou ossos mortos e cobriu-os com carne.

9It took dead bones and covered them with flesh.

10Mas eles estavam imóveis, então deu-lhes energia para a vida.

10But they were motionless, so it gave them energy for life.

11Incorruptível foi teu caminho e tua face; trouxeste teu mundo à corrupção, para que tudo pudesse ser resolvido e renovado.

11Incorruptible was your way and your face; you brought your world to corruption, that everything might be resolved and renewed.

12E o fundamento de tudo é tua rocha. E sobre ela construíste teu reino, e tornou-se a morada dos santos. Aleluia.

12And the foundation of everything is your rock. And upon it you have built your kingdom, and it became the dwelling place of the saints. Hallelujah.
