Odes de Salomão 18

1Meu coração foi levantado e enriquecido no amor do Altíssimo, para que eu pudesse louvá-lo com meu nome.

1My heart was lifted up and enriched in the love of the Most High, so that I might praise him with my name.

2Meus membros foram fortalecidos, para que não caiam do seu poder.

2My members were strengthened, that they might not fall from his power.

3Enfermidades fugiram do meu corpo, e ele ficou firme para o Senhor por sua vontade; porque seu reino é firme.

3Sicknesses fled from my body, and it stood firm for the Lord by his will; for his kingdom is firm.

4Ó Senhor, por causa daqueles que estão em necessidade, não dispenses tua Palavra de mim.

4O Lord, for the sake of those who are in need, do not dismiss your Word from me.

5Nem, por causa de suas obras, retenhas tua perfeição de mim.

5Nor, for the sake of their works, withhold your perfection from me.

6Que a luz não seja conquistada pela escuridão, nem que a verdade fuja da falsidade.

6Let not the light be conquered by the darkness, nor let truth flee from falsehood.

7Que tua mão direita ponha nossa salvação para a vitória, e que ela receba de cada região, e preserve-a ao lado de cada um que é sitiado por infortúnios.

7May your right hand set our salvation for victory, and may it receive from every region, and preserve on the side of everyone who is besieged by misfortune.

8Tu és meu Deus, falsidade e morte não estão em tua boca; apenas a perfeição é tua vontade.

8You are my God, falsehood and death are not in your mouth; only perfection is your will.

9E vaidade tu não conheces, porque nem ela te conhece.

9And vanity you do not know, because neither does it know you.

10E tu não conheces o erro; porque nem ele te conhece.

10And you do not know error; because neither does it know you.

11E a ignorância apareceu como poeira, e como a espuma do mar.

11And ignorance appeared like dust, and like the foam of the sea.

12E pessoas vãs pensaram que era grande, e tornaram-se como seu tipo e empobreceram.

12And vain people thought it was great, and became like its type and were impoverished.

13Mas aqueles que sabiam entenderam e contemplaram, e não foram poluídos por seus pensamentos;

13But those who knew understood and contemplated, and were not polluted by their thoughts;

14Porque estavam na mente do Altíssimo, e zombaram daqueles que estavam andando no erro.

14For they were in the mind of the Most High, and mocked those who were walking in error.

15Então falaram a verdade, do sopro que o Altíssimo soprou neles.

15Then they spoke truth, from the breath that the Most High breathed into them.

16Louvor e grande honra ao seu nome. Aleluia.

16Praise and great honor to his name. Hallelujah.
