Números 8

1E falou o SENHOR a Moisés, dizendo:

1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2Fala a Arão, e dize-lhe: Quando acenderes as lâmpadas, as sete lâmpadas iluminarão o espaço em frente do candelabro.

2Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.

3E Arão fez assim: Acendeu as lâmpadas do candelabro para iluminar o espaço em frente, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.

3And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

4E era esta a obra do candelabro, obra de ouro batido; desde o seu pé até às suas flores era ele de ouro batido; conforme ao modelo que o Senhor mostrara a Moisés, assim ele fez o candelabro.

4And this work of the candlestick {was of} beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, {was} beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

5E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:

5And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

6Toma os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel e purifica-os;

6Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7E assim lhes farás, para os purificar: Esparge sobre eles a água da expiação; e sobre toda a sua carne farão passar a navalha, e lavarão as suas vestes, e se purificarão.

7And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and {so} make themselves clean. {let them shave...: Heb. let them cause a razor to pass over, etc}

8Então tomarão um novilho, com a sua oferta de alimentos de flor de farinha amassada com azeite; e tomarás tu outro novilho, para expiação do pecado.

8Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, {even} fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.

9E farás chegar os levitas perante a tenda da congregação e ajuntarás toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel.

9And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:

10Farás, pois, chegar os levitas perante o Senhor; e os filhos de Israel porão as suas mãos sobre os levitas.

10And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:

11E Arão oferecerá os levitas por oferta movida, perante o Senhor, pelos filhos de Israel; e serão para servirem no ministério do Senhor.

11And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD {for} an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD. {offer: Heb. wave} {offering: Heb. wave offering} {they...: Heb. they may be to execute, etc}

12E os levitas colocarão as suas mãos sobre a cabeça dos novilhos; então sacrifica tu, um para expiação do pecado, e o outro para holocausto ao Senhor, para fazer expiação pelos levitas.

12And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one {for} a sin offering, and the other {for} a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

13E porás os levitas perante Arão, e perante os seus filhos, e os oferecerá por oferta movida ao Senhor.

13And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them {for} an offering unto the LORD.

14E separarás os levitas do meio dos filhos de Israel, para que os levitas sejam meus.

14Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.

15E depois os levitas entrarão para fazerem o serviço da tenda da congregação; e tu os purificarás, e por oferta movida os oferecerás.

15And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them {for} an offering.

16Porquanto eles, dentre os filhos de Israel, me são dados; em lugar de todo aquele que abre a madre, do primogênito de cada um dos filhos de Israel, para mim os tenho tomado.

16For they {are} wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, {even instead of} the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

17Porque meu é todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel, entre os homens e entre os animais; no dia em que, na terra do Egito, feri a todo o primogênito, os santifiquei para mim.

17For all the firstborn of the children of Israel {are} mine, {both} man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

18E tomei os levitas em lugar de todo o primogênito entre os filhos de Israel.

18And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

19E os levitas, dados a Arão e a seus filhos, dentre os filhos de Israel, tenho dado para ministrarem o ministério dos filhos de Israel na tenda da congregação e para fazer expiação pelos filhos de Israel, para que não haja praga entre eles, chegando-se os filhos de Israel ao santuário.

19And I have given the Levites {as} a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary. {a gift: Heb. given}

20E assim fizeram Moisés e Arão, e toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel, com os levitas; conforme a tudo o que o Senhor ordenara a Moisés acerca dos levitas, assim os filhos de Israel lhes fizeram.

20And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

21E os levitas se purificaram, e lavaram as suas vestes, e Arão os ofereceu por oferta movida perante o Senhor, e Arão fez expiação por eles, para purificá-los.

21And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them {as} an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

22E depois vieram os levitas, para exercerem o seu ministério na tenda da congregação, perante Arão e perante os seus filhos; como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés acerca dos levitas, assim lhes fizeram.

22And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

23E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:

23And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

24Este é o ofício dos levitas: Da idade de vinte e cinco anos para cima entrarão, para fazerem o serviço no ministério da tenda da congregação;

24This {is it} that {belongeth} unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: {to...: Heb. to war the warfare of, etc}

25Mas desde a idade de cinqüenta anos sairão do serviço deste ministério, e nunca mais servirão;

25And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service {thereof}, and shall serve no more: {cease...: Heb. return from the warfare of the service}

26Porém com os seus irmãos servirão na tenda da congregação, para terem cuidado da guarda; mas o ministério não exercerão; assim farás com os levitas quanto aos seus deveres.

26But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
