Números 36

1E chegaram os chefes dos pais da família de Gileade, filho de Maquir, filho de Manassés, das famílias dos filhos de José, e falaram diante de Moisés, e diante dos príncipes, chefes dos pais dos filhos de Israel,

1And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel:

2E disseram: O SENHOR mandou a meu senhor que, por sorte, desse esta terra em herança aos filhos de Israel; e a meu senhor foi ordenado pelo SENHOR, que a herança do nosso irmão Zelofeade se desse às suas filhas.

2And they said, The LORD commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.

3E, casando-se elas com alguns dos filhos das outras tribos dos filhos de Israel, então a sua herança será diminuída da herança de nossos pais, e acrescentada à herança da tribo a que vierem a pertencer; assim se tirará da sorte da nossa herança.

3And if they be married to any of the sons of the {other} tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance. {whereunto...: Heb. unto whom they shall be}

4Vindo também o ano do jubileu dos filhos de Israel, a sua herança será acrescentada à herança da tribo daqueles com que se casarem; assim a sua herança será tirada da herança da tribo de nossos pais.

4And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers. {whereunto...: Heb. unto whom they shall be}

5Então Moisés deu ordem aos filhos de Israel, segundo o mandado do Senhor, dizendo: A tribo dos filhos de José fala o que é justo.

5And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph hath said well.

6Isto é o que o Senhor mandou acerca das filhas de Zelofeade, dizendo: Sejam por mulheres a quem bem parecer aos seus olhos, contanto que se casem na família da tribo de seu pai.

6This {is} the thing which the LORD doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they marry. {marry: Heb. be wives}

7Assim a herança dos filhos de Israel não passará de tribo em tribo; pois os filhos de Israel se chegarão cada um à herança da tribo de seus pais.

7So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers. {keep...: Heb. cleave to the, etc}

8E qualquer filha que herdar alguma herança das tribos dos filhos de Israel se casará com alguém da família da tribo de seu pai; para que os filhos de Israel possuam cada um a herança de seus pais.

8And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.

9Assim a herança não passará de uma tribo a outra; pois as tribos dos filhos de Israel se chegarão cada uma à sua herança.

9Neither shall the inheritance remove from {one} tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.

10Como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés, assim fizeram as filhas de Zelofeade.

10Even as the LORD commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad:

11Pois Maalá, Tirza, Hogla, Milca e Noa, filhas de Zelofeade, se casaram com os filhos de seus tios.

11For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons:

12E elas casaram-se nas famílias dos filhos de Manassés, filho de José; assim a sua herança ficou na tribo da família de seu pai.

12{And} they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father. {into...: Heb. to some that were of the families}

13Estes são os mandamentos e os juízos que mandou o Senhor através de Moisés aos filhos de Israel nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na direção de Jericó.

13These {are} the commandments and the judgments, which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan {near} Jericho.
