Números 12

1E falaram Miriã e Arão contra Moisés, por causa da mulher cusita, com quem casara; porquanto tinha casado com uma mulher cusita.

1And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. {Ethiopian: or, Cushite} {married: Heb. taken}

2E disseram: Porventura falou o Senhor somente por Moisés? Não falou também por nós? E o Senhor o ouviu.

2And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard {it}.

3E era o homem Moisés mui manso, mais do que todos os homens que havia sobre a terra.

3(Now the man Moses {was} very meek, above all the men which {were} upon the face of the earth.)

4E logo o Senhor disse a Moisés, a Arão e a Miriã: Vós três saí à tenda da congregação. E saíram eles três.

4And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.

5Então o Senhor desceu na coluna de nuvem, e se pôs à porta da tenda; depois chamou a Arão e a Miriã e ambos saíram.

5And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood {in} the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

6E disse: Ouvi agora as minhas palavras; se entre vós houver profeta, eu, o Senhor, em visão a ele me farei conhecer, ou em sonhos falarei com ele.

6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, {I} the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, {and} will speak unto him in a dream.

7Não é assim com o meu servo Moisés que é fiel em toda a minha casa.

7My servant Moses {is} not so, who {is} faithful in all mine house.

8Boca a boca falo com ele, claramente e não por enigmas; pois ele vê a semelhança do Senhor; por que, pois, não tivestes temor de falar contra o meu servo, contra Moisés?

8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

9Assim a ira do Senhor contra eles se acendeu; e retirou-se.

9And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

10E a nuvem se retirou de sobre a tenda; e eis que Miriã ficou leprosa como a neve; e olhou Arão para Miriã, e eis que estava leprosa.

10And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam {became} leprous, {white} as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, {she was} leprous.

11Por isso Arão disse a Moisés: Ai, senhor meu, não ponhas sobre nós este pecado, pois agimos loucamente, e temos pecado.

11And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.

12Ora, não seja ela como um morto, que saindo do ventre de sua mãe, a metade da sua carne já esteja consumida.

12Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

13Clamou, pois, Moisés ao Senhor, dizendo: Ó Deus, rogo-te que a cures.

13And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.

14E disse o Senhor a Moisés: Se seu pai cuspira em seu rosto, não seria envergonhada sete dias? Esteja fechada sete dias fora do arraial, e depois a recolham.

14And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in {again}.

15Assim Miriã esteve fechada fora do arraial sete dias, e o povo não partiu, até que recolheram a Miriã.

15And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in {again}.

16Porém, depois o povo partiu de Hazerote; e acampou-se no deserto de Parã.

16And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
