Neemias 7

1Sucedeu que, depois que o muro foi edificado, eu levantei as portas; e foram estabelecidos os porteiros, os cantores e os levitas.

1Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

2Eu nomeei a Hanani, meu irmão, e a Hananias, líder da fortaleza, sobre Jerusalém; porque ele era homem fiel e temente a Deus, mais do que muitos.

2That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he {was} a faithful man, and feared God above many.

3E disse-lhes: Não se abram as portas de Jerusalém até que o sol aqueça, e enquanto os que assisti-rem ali permanecerem, fechem as portas, e vós trancai-as; e ponham–se guardas dos moradores de Jerusalém, cada um na sua guarda, e cada um diante da sua casa.

3And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar {them}: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one {to be} over against his house.

4E era a cidade larga de espaço, e grande, porém pouco povo havia dentro dela; e ainda as casas não estavam edificadas.

4Now the city {was} large and great: but the people {were} few therein, and the houses {were} not builded. {large: Heb. broad in spaces}

5Então o meu Deus me pôs no coração que ajuntasse os nobres, os magistrados e o povo, para registrar as genealogias; e achei o livro da genealogia dos que subiram primeiro e nele estava escrito o seguinte:

5And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,

6Estes são os filhos da província, que subiram do cativeiro dos exilados, que transportara Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia; e voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade;

6These {are} the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;

7Os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesuá, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamani, Mordecai, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum, e Baaná; este é o número dos homens do povo de Israel.

7Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, {I say}, of the men of the people of Israel {was this}; {Azariah: also called, Seraiah}

8Foram os filhos de Parós, dois mil, cento e setenta e dois.

8The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.

9Os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois.

9The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.

10Os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinqüenta e dois.

10The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.

11Os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesuá e de Joabe, dois mil, oitocentos e dezoito.

11The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred {and} eighteen.

12Os filhos de Elão, mil, duzentos e cinqüenta e quatro.

12The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

13Os filhos de Zatu, oitocentos e quarenta e cinco.

13The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.

14Os filhos de Zacai, setecentos e sessenta.

41Os filhos de Pasur, mil, duzentos e quarenta e sete.

41The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.

59Os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Poquerete-Hazebaim, os filhos de Amom.

59The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon. {Amon: also called, Ami}

60Todos os servidores do templo e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, trezentos e noventa e dois.

60All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, {were} three hundred ninety and two.

61Também estes subiram de Tel-Melá, e Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom, Imer; porém não puderam provar que a casa de seus pais e a sua linhagem, eram de Israel.

61And these {were} they which went up {also} from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their seed, whether they {were} of Israel. {seed: or, pedigree}

62Os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.

62The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.

63E dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Coz, os filhos de Barzilai, que tomara uma mulher das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado do seu nome.

63And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took {one} of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.

64Estes buscaram o seu registro nos livros genealógicos, porém não se achou; então, como imundos, foram excluídos do sacerdócio.

64These sought their register {among} those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.

65E o governador lhes disse que não comessem das coisas sagradas, até que se apresentasse o sacerdote com Urim e Tumim.

65And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood {up} a priest with Urim and Thummim. {the Tirshatha: or, the governor}

66Toda esta congregação junta foi de quarenta e dois mil, trezentos e sessenta,

66The whole congregation together {was} forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,

67Afora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil, trezentos e trinta e sete; e tinham duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.

67Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom {there were} seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.

68Os seus cavalos, setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco.

68Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:

69Camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; jumentos, seis mil, setecentos e vinte.

69{Their} camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.

70E uma parte dos chefes dos pais contribuíram para a obra. O governador deu para o tesouro, em ouro, mil dracmas, cinqüenta bacias, e quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.

70And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments. {some: Heb. part.} {the Tirshatha: or, the governor}

71E alguns mais dos chefes dos pais contribuíram para o tesouro da obra, em ouro, vinte mil dracmas, e em prata, duas mil e duzentas libras.

71And {some} of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.

72E o que deu o restante do povo foi, em ouro, vinte mil dracmas, e em prata, duas mil libras; e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.

72And {that} which the rest of the people gave {was} twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.

73E habitaram os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, alguns do povo, os servidores do templo, e todo o Israel nas suas cidades.

73So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and {some} of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel {were} in their cities.
