Mateus 24

1E, quando Jesus ia saindo do templo, aproximaram-se dele os seus discípulos para lhe mostrarem a estrutura do templo.

1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to {him} for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

2Jesus, porém, lhes disse: Não vedes tudo isto? Em verdade vos digo que não ficará aqui pedra sobre pedra que não seja derrubada.

2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

3E, estando assentado no Monte das Oliveiras, chegaram-se a ele os seus discípulos em particular, dizendo: Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas, e que sinal haverá da tua vinda e do fim do mundo?

3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what {shall be} the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Acautelai-vos, que ninguém vos engane;

4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5Porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo; e enganarão a muitos.

5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6E ouvireis de guerras e de rumores de guerras; olhai, não vos assusteis, porque é mister que isso tudo aconteça, mas ainda não é o fim.

6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all {these things} must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7Porquanto se levantará nação contra nação, e reino contra reino, e haverá fomes, e pestes, e terremotos, em vários lugares.

7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8Mas todas estas coisas são o princípio de dores.

8All these {are} the beginning of sorrows.

9Então vos hão de entregar para serdes atormentados, e matar-vosão; e sereis odiados de todas as nações por causa do meu nome.

9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10Nesse tempo muitos serão escandalizados, e trair-se-ão uns aos outros, e uns aos outros se odiarào.

10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11E surgirão muitos falsos profetas, e enganarão a muitos.

11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12E, por se multiplicar a iniqüidade, o amor de muitos esfriará.

12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13Mas aquele que perseverar até ao fim, esse será salvo.

13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14E este evangelho do reino será pregado em todo o mundo, em testemunho a todas as nações, e então virá o fim.

14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15Quando, pois, virdes que a abominação da desolação, de que falou o profeta Daniel, está no lugar santo; quem lê, entenda;

15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16Então, os que estiverem na Judéia, fujam para os montes;

16Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17E quem estiver sobre o telhado não desça a tirar alguma coisa de sua casa;

17Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18E quem estiver no campo não volte atrás a buscar as suas vestes.

18Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19Mas ai das grávidas e das que amamentarem naqueles dias!

19And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20E orai para que a vossa fuga não aconteça no inverno nem no sábado;

20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21Porque haverá então grande aflição, como nunca houve desde o princípio do mundo até agora, nem tampouco há de haver.

21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22E, se aqueles dias não fossem abreviados, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas por causa dos escolhidos serão abreviados aqueles dias.

22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23Então, se alguém vos disser: Eis que o Cristo está aqui, ou ali, não lhe deis crédito;

23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here {is} Christ, or there; believe {it} not.

24Porque surgirão falsos cristos e falsos profetas, e farão tão grandes sinais e prodígios que, se possível fora, enganariam até os escolhidos.

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if {it were} possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25Eis que eu vo-lo tenho predito.

25Behold, I have told you before.

26Portanto, se vos disserem: Eis que ele está no deserto, não saiais. Eis que ele está no interior da casa; não acrediteis.

26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, {he is} in the secret chambers; believe {it} not.

27Porque, assim como o relâmpago sai do oriente e se mostra até ao ocidente, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem.

27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28Pois onde estiver o cadáver, aí se ajuntarão as águias.

28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29E, logo depois da aflição daqueles dias, o sol escurecerá, e a lua não dará a sua luz, e as estrelas cairão do céu, e as potências dos céus serão abaladas.

29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30Então aparecerá no céu o sinal do Filho do homem; e todas as tribos da terra se lamentarão, e verão o Filho do homem, vindo sobre as nuvens do céu, com poder e grande glória.

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31E ele enviará os seus anjos com rijo clamor de trombeta, os quais ajuntarão os seus escolhidos desde os quatro ventos, de uma à outra extremidade dos céus.

31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. {with...: or, with a trumpet, and a great voice}

32Aprendei, pois, esta parábola da figueira: Quando já os seus ramos se tornam tenros e brotam folhas, sabeis que está próximo o verão.

32Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer {is} nigh:

33Igualmente, quando virdes todas estas coisas, sabei que ele está próximo, às portas.

33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, {even} at the doors. {it: or, he}

34Em verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração sem que todas estas coisas aconteçam.

34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

35O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não hão de passar.

35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

36Mas daquele dia e hora ninguém sabe, nem os anjos do céu, mas unicamente meu Pai.

36But of that day and hour knoweth no {man}, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37E, como foi nos dias de Noé, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem.

37But as the days of Noe {were}, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38Porquanto, assim como, nos dias anteriores ao dilúvio, comiam, bebiam, casavam e davam-se em casamento, até ao dia em que Noé entrou na arca,

38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39E não o perceberam, até que veio o dilúvio, e os levou a todos, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem.

39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40Então, estando dois no campo, será levado um, e deixado o outro;

40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41Estando duas moendo no moinho, será levada uma, e deixada outra.

41Two {women shall be} grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42Vigiai, pois, porque não sabeis a que hora há de vir o vosso Senhor.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43Mas considerai isto: se o pai de família soubesse a que vigília da noite havia de vir o ladrão, vigiaria e não deixaria minar a sua casa.

43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44Por isso, estai vós apercebidos também; porque o Filho do homem há de vir à hora em que não penseis.

44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45Quem é, pois, o servo fiel e prudente, que o seu senhor constituiu sobre a sua casa, para dar o sustento a seu tempo?

45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46Bem-aventurado aquele servo que o seu senhor, quando vier, achar servindo assim.

46Blessed {is} that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47Em verdade vos digo que o porá sobre todos os seus bens.

47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48Mas se aquele mau servo disser no seu coração: O meu senhor tarde virá;

48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49E começar a espancar os seus conservos, e a comer e a beber com os ébrios,

49And shall begin to smite {his} fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50Virá o senhor daquele servo num dia em que o não espera, e à hora em que ele não sabe,

50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for {him}, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51E separá-lo-á, e destinará a sua parte com os hipócritas; ali haverá pranto e ranger de dentes.

51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint {him} his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. {cut...: or, cut him off}
