Marcos 12

1E começou a falar-lhes por parábolas: Um homem plantou uma vinha, e cercou-a de um valado, e fundou nela um lagar, e edificou uma torre, e arrendou-a a uns lavradores, e partiu para fora da terra.

1And he began to speak unto them by parables. A {certain} man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about {it}, and digged {a place for} the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

2E, chegado o tempo, mandou um servo aos lavradores para que recebesse, dos lavradores, do fruto da vinha.

2And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

3Mas estes, apoderando-se dele, o feriram e o mandaram embora vazio.

3And they caught {him}, and beat him, and sent {him} away empty.

4E tornou a enviar-lhes outro servo; e eles, apedrejando-o, o feriram na cabeça, e o mandaram embora, tendo-o afrontado.

4And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded {him} in the head, and sent {him} away shamefully handled.

5E tornou a enviar-lhes outro, e a este mataram; e a outros muitos, dos quais a uns feriram e a outros mataram.

5And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

6Tendo ele, pois, ainda um seu filho amado, enviou-o também a estes por derradeiro, dizendo: Ao menos terão respeito ao meu filho.

6Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

7Mas aqueles lavradores disseram entre si: Este é o herdeiro; vamos, matemo-lo, e a herança será nossa.

7But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

8E, pegando dele, o mataram, e o lançaram fora da vinha.

8And they took him, and killed {him}, and cast {him} out of the vineyard.

9Que fará, pois, o senhor da vinha? Virá, e destruirá os lavradores, e dará a vinha a outros.

9What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

10Ainda não lestes esta Escritura:A pedra, que os edificadores rejeitaram,Esta foi posta por cabeça de esquina;

10And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

11Isto foi feito pelo Senhor E é coisa maravilhosa aos nossos olhos?

11This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

12E buscavam prendê-lo, mas temiam a multidão; porque entendiam que contra eles dizia esta parábola; e, deixando-o, foram-se.

12And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

13E enviaram-lhe alguns dos fariseus e dos herodianos, para que o apanhassem nalguma palavra.

13And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in {his} words.

14E, chegando eles, disseram-lhe: Mestre, sabemos que és homem de verdade, e de ninguém se te dá, porque não olhas à aparência dos homens, antes com verdade ensinas o caminho de Deus; é lícito dar o tributo a César, ou não? Daremos, ou não daremos?

14And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

15Então ele, conhecendo a sua hipocrisia, disse-lhes: Por que me tentais? Trazei-me uma moeda, para que a veja.

15Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see {it}. {penny: valuing of our money seven pence halfpenny}

16E eles lha trouxeram. E disse-lhes: De quem é esta imagem e inscrição? E eles lhe disseram: De César.

16And they brought {it}. And he saith unto them, Whose {is} this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.

17E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Dai pois a César o que é de César, e a Deus o que é de Deus. E maravilharam-se dele.

17And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

18Então os saduceus, que dizem que não há ressurreição, aproximaram-se dele, e perguntaram-lhe, dizendo:

18Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

19Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu que, se morresse o irmão de alguém, e deixasse a mulher e não deixasse filhos, seu irmão tomasse a mulher dele, e suscitasse descendência a seu irmão.

19Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave {his} wife {behind him}, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20Ora, havia sete irmãos, e o primeiro tomou a mulher, e morreu sem deixar descendência;

20Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21E o segundo também a tomou e morreu, e nem este deixou descendência; e o terceiro da mesma maneira.

21And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22E tomaram-na os sete, sem, contudo, terem deixado descendência. Finalmente, depois de todos, morreu também a mulher.

22And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23Na ressurreição, pois, quando ressuscitarem, de qual destes será a mulher? porque os sete a tiveram por mulher.

23In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Porventura não errais vós em razão de não saberdes as Escrituras nem o poder de Deus?

24And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25Porquanto, quando ressuscitarem dentre os mortos, nem casarão, nem se darão em casamento, mas serão como os anjos que estão nos céus.

25For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26E, acerca dos mortos que houverem de ressuscitar, não tendes lido no livro de Moisés como Deus lhe falou na sarça, dizendo: Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, e o Deus de Isaque, e o Deus de Jacó?

26And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I {am} the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27Ora, Deus não é de mortos, mas sim, é Deus de vivos. Por isso vós errais muito.

27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

28Aproximou-se dele um dos escribas que os tinha ouvido disputar, e sabendo que lhes tinha respondido bem, perguntou-lhe: Qual é o primeiro de todos os mandamentos?

28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29E Jesus respondeu-lhe: O primeiro de todos os mandamentos é: Ouve, Israel, o Senhor nosso Deus é o único Senhor.

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments {is}, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30Amarás, pois, ao Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração, e de toda a tua alma, e de todo o teu entendimento, e de todas as tuas forças; este é o primeiro mandamento.

30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this {is} the first commandment.

31E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo. Não há outro mandamento maior do que estes.

31And the second {is} like, {namely} this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32E o escriba lhe disse: Muito bem, Mestre, e com verdade disseste que há um só Deus, e que não há outro além dele;

32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

33E que amá-lo de todo o coração, e de todo o entendimento, e de toda a alma, e de todas as forças, e amar o próximo como a si mesmo, é mais do que todos os holocaustos e sacrifícios.

33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love {his} neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

34E Jesus, vendo que havia respondido sabiamente, disse-lhe: Não estás longe do reino de Deus. E já ninguém ousava perguntar-lhe mais nada.

34And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him {any question}.

35E, falando Jesus, dizia, ensinando no templo: Como dizem os escribas que o Cristo é filho de Davi?

35And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?

36O próprio Davi disse pelo Espírito Santo:O Senhor disse ao meu Senhor:Assenta-te à minha direita Até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés.

36For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

37Pois, se Davi mesmo lhe chama Senhor, como é logo seu filho? E a grande multidão o ouvia de boa vontade.

37David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he {then} his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

38E, ensinando-os, dizia-lhes: Guardai-vos dos escribas, que gostam de andar com vestes compridas, e das saudações nas praças,

38And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and {love} salutations in the marketplaces,

39E das primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas, e dos primeiros assentos nas ceias;

39And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:

40Que devoram as casas das viúvas, e isso com pretexto de largas orações. Estes receberão mais grave condenação.

40Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

41E, estando Jesus assentado defronte da arca do tesouro, observava a maneira como a multidão lançava o dinheiro na arca do tesouro; e muitos ricos deitavam muito.

41And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. {money: a piece of brass money}

42Vindo, porém, uma pobre viúva, deitou duas pequenas moedas, que valiam meio centavo.

42And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. {mites: it is the seventh part of one piece of that brass money}

43E, chamando os seus discípulos, disse-lhes: Em verdade vos digo que esta pobre viúva deitou mais do que todos os que deitaram na arca do tesouro;

43And he called {unto him} his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

44Porque todos ali deitaram do que lhes sobejava, mas esta, da sua pobreza, deitou tudo o que tinha, todo o seu sustento.

44For all {they} did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, {even} all her living.
