Lucas 21

1E, olhando ele, viu os ricos lançarem as suas ofertas na arca do tesouro;

1And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

2E viu também uma pobre viúva lançar ali duas pequenas moedas;

2And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

3E disse: Em verdade vos digo que lançou mais do que todos, esta pobre viúva;

3And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

4Porque todos aqueles deitaram para as ofertas de Deus do que lhes sobeja; mas esta, da sua pobreza, deitou todo o sustento que tinha.

4For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

5E, dizendo alguns a respeito do templo, que estava ornado de formosas pedras e dádivas, disse:

5And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,

6Quanto a estas coisas que vedes, dias virão em que não se deixará pedra sobre pedra, que não seja derrubada.

6{As for} these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

7E perguntaram-lhe, dizendo: Mestre, quando serão, pois, estas coisas? E que sinal haverá quando isto estiver para acontecer?

7And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign {will there be} when these things shall come to pass?

8Disse então ele: Vede não vos enganem, porque virão muitos em meu nome, dizendo: Sou eu, e o tempo está próximo. Não vades, portanto, após eles.

8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am {Christ}; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. {and the time: or, and, The time}

9E, quando ouvirdes de guerras e sedições, não vos assusteis. Porque é necessário que isto aconteça primeiro, mas o fim não será logo.

9But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end {is} not by and by.

10Então lhes disse: Levantar-se-á nação contra nação, e reino contra reino;

10Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11E haverá em vários lugares grandes terremotos, e fomes e pestilências; haverá também coisas espantosas, e grandes sinais do céu.

11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

12Mas antes de todas estas coisas lançarão mão de vós, e vos perseguirão, entregando-vos às sinagogas e às prisões, e conduzindo-vos à presença de reis e presidentes, por amor do meu nome.

12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute {you}, delivering {you} up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

13E vos acontecerá isto para testemunho.

13And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14Proponde, pois, em vossos corações não premeditar como haveis de responder;

14Settle {it} therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15Porque eu vos darei boca e sabedoria a que não poderão resistir nem contradizer todos quantos se vos opuserem.

15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

16E até pelos pais, e irmãos, e parentes, e amigos sereis entregues; e matarão alguns de vós.

16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and {some} of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17E de todos sereis odiados por causa do meu nome.

17And ye shall be hated of all {men} for my name's sake.

18Mas não perecerá um único cabelo da vossa cabeça.

18But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

19Na vossa paciência possuí as vossas almas.

19In your patience possess ye your souls.

20Mas, quando virdes Jerusalém cercada de exércitos, sabei então que é chegada a sua desolação.

20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21Então, os que estiverem na Judéia, fujam para os montes; os que estiverem no meio da cidade, saiam; e os que nos campos não entrem nela.

21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22Porque dias de vingança são estes, para que se cumpram todas as coisas que estão escritas.

22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

23Mas ai das grávidas, e das que criarem naqueles dias! porque haverá grande aperto na terra, e ira sobre este povo.

23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24E cairão ao fio da espada, e para todas as nações serão levados cativos; e Jerusalém será pisada pelos gentios, até que os tempos dos gentios se completem.

24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25E haverá sinais no sol e na lua e nas estrelas; e na terra angústia das nações, em perplexidade pelo bramido do mar e das ondas.

25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26Homens desmaiando de terror, na expectação das coisas que sobrevirão ao mundo; porquanto as virtudes do céu serão abaladas.

26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27E então verão vir o Filho do homem numa nuvem, com poder e grande glória.

27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28Ora, quando estas coisas começarem a acontecer, olhai para cima e levantai as vossas cabeças, porque a vossa redenção está próxima.

28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29E disse-lhes uma parábola: Olhai para a figueira, e para todas as árvores;

29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30Quando já têm rebentado, vós sabeis por vós mesmos, vendo-as, que perto está já o verão.

30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31Assim também vós, quando virdes acontecer estas coisas, sabei que o reino de Deus está perto.

31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32Em verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração até que tudo aconteça.

32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33Passará o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não hão de passar.

33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34E olhai por vós, não aconteça que os vossos corações se carreguem de glutonaria, de embriaguez, e dos cuidados da vida, e venha sobre vós de improviso aquele dia.

34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and {so} that day come upon you unawares.

35Porque virá como um laço sobre todos os que habitam na face de toda a terra.

35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36Vigiai, pois, em todo o tempo, orando, para que sejais havidos por dignos de evitar todas estas coisas que hão de acontecer, e de estar em pé diante do Filho do homem.

36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

37E de dia ensinava no templo, e à noite, saindo, ficava no monte chamado das Oliveiras.

37And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called {the mount} of Olives.

38E todo o povo ia ter com ele ao templo, de manhã cedo, para o ouvir.

38And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
