Lucas 17

1E disse aos discípulos: É impossível que não venham escândalos, mas ai daquele por quem vierem!

1Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe {unto him}, through whom they come!

2Melhor lhe fora que lhe pusessem ao pescoço uma mó de atafona, e fosse lançado ao mar, do que fazer tropeçar um destes pequenos.

2It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

3Olhai por vós mesmos. E, se teu irmão pecar contra ti, repreende-o e, se ele se arrepender, perdoa-lhe.

3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

4E, se pecar contra ti sete vezes no dia, e sete vezes no dia vier ter contigo, dizendo: Arrependo-me; perdoa-lhe.

4And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

5Disseram então os apóstolos ao Senhor: Acrescenta-nos a fé.

5And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

6E disse o Senhor: Se tivésseis fé como um grão de mostarda, diríeis a esta amoreira: Desarraiga-te daqui, e planta-te no mar; e ela vos obedeceria.

6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

7E qual de vós terá um servo a lavrar ou a apascentar gado, a quem, voltando ele do campo, diga: Chega-te, e assenta-te à mesa?

7But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

8E não lhe diga antes: Prepara-me a ceia, e cinge-te, e serve-me até que tenha comido e bebido, e depois comerás e beberás tu?

8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

9Porventura dá graças ao tal servo, porque fez o que lhe foi mandado? Creio que não.

9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

10Assim também vós, quando fizerdes tudo o que vos for mandado, dizei: Somos servos inúteis, porque fizemos somente o que devíamos fazer.

10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

11E aconteceu que, indo ele a Jerusalém, passou pelo meio de Samaria e da Galiléia;

11And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12E, entrando numa certa aldeia, saíram-lhe ao encontro dez homens leprosos, os quais pararam de longe;

12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13E levantaram a voz, dizendo: Jesus, Mestre, tem misericórdia de nós.

13And they lifted up {their} voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14E ele, vendo-os, disse-lhes: Ide, e mostrai-vos aos sacerdotes. E aconteceu que, indo eles, ficaram limpos.

14And when he saw {them}, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15E um deles, vendo que estava são, voltou glorificando a Deus em alta voz;

15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16E caiu aos seus pés, com o rosto em terra, dando-lhe graças; e este era samaritano.

16And fell down on {his} face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17E, respondendo Jesus, disse: Não foram dez os limpos? E onde estão os nove?

17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where {are} the nine?

18Não houve quem voltasse para dar glória a Deus senão este estrangeiro?

18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19E disse-lhe: Levanta-te, e vai; a tua fé te salvou.

19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

20E, interrogado pelos fariseus sobre quando havia de vir o reino de Deus, respondeu-lhes, e disse: O reino de Deus não vem com aparência exterior.

20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: {with...: or, with outward shew}

21Nem dirão: Ei-lo aqui, ou: Ei-lo ali; porque eis que o reino de Deus está entre vós.

21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. {within you: or, among you}

22E disse aos discípulos: Dias virão em que desejareis ver um dos dias do Filho do homem, e não o vereis.

22And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see {it}.

23E dir-vos-ão: Ei-lo aqui, ou: Ei-lo ali. Não vades, nem os sigais;

23And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after {them}, nor follow {them}.

24Porque, como o relâmpago ilumina desde uma extremidade inferior do céu até à outra extremidade, assim será também o Filho do homem no seu dia.

24For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one {part} under heaven, shineth unto the other {part} under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

25Mas primeiro convém que ele padeça muito, e seja reprovado por esta geração.

25But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

26E, como aconteceu nos dias de Noé, assim será também nos dias do Filho do homem.

26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27Comiam, bebiam, casavam, e davam-se em casamento, até ao dia em que Noé entrou na arca, e veio o dilúvio, e os consumiu a todos.

27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28Como também da mesma maneira aconteceu nos dias de Ló: Comiam, bebiam, compravam, vendiam, plantavam e edificavam;

28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29Mas no dia em que Ló saiu de Sodoma choveu do céu fogo e enxofre, e os consumiu a todos.

29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed {them} all.

30Assim será no dia em que o Filho do homem se há de manifestar.

30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31Naquele dia, quem estiver no telhado, tendo as suas alfaias em casa, não desça a tomá-las; e, da mesma sorte, o que estiver no campo não volte para trás.

31In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32Lembrai-vos da mulher de Ló.

32Remember Lot's wife.

33Qualquer que procurar salvar a sua vida, perdê-la-á, e qualquer que a perder, salvá-la-á.

33Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34Digo-vos que naquela noite estarão dois numa cama; um será tomado, e outro será deixado.

34I tell you, in that night there shall be two {men} in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35Duas estarão juntas, moendo; uma será tomada, e outra será deixada.

35Two {women} shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36Dois estarão no campo; um será tomado, e o outro será deixado.

36Two {men} shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. {this verse is not found in most of the Greek copies}

37E, respondendo, disseram-lhe: Onde, Senhor? E ele lhes disse: Onde estiver o corpo, aí se ajuntarão as águias.

37And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body {is}, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
