Livro de Jasher 87

1Naquele tempo o Senhor disse a Moisés: Eis que os teus dias estão chegando ao fim, toma agora Josué, filho de Num, teu servo, e coloca-o no tabernáculo, e eu lhe ordenarei, e Moisés o fez.

1At that time the Lord said to Moses, Behold thy days are approaching to an end, take now Joshua the son of Nun thy servant and place him in the tabernacle, and I will command him, and Moses did so.

2E o Senhor apareceu no tabernáculo numa coluna de nuvem, e a coluna de nuvem estava à entrada do tabernáculo.

2And the Lord appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood at the entrance of the tabernacle.

3E o Senhor ordenou a Josué, filho de Num, e disse-lhe: Sê forte e corajoso, porque tu trarás os filhos de Israel à terra que jurei dar-lhes, e eu serei contigo.

3And the Lord commanded Joshua the son of Nun and said unto him, Be strong and courageous, for thou shalt bring the children of Israel to the land which I swore to give them, and I will be with thee.

4E Moisés disse a Josué: Sê forte e corajoso, porque tu farás os filhos de Israel herdarem a terra, e o Senhor será contigo, ele não te deixará nem te desamparará, não tenha medo nem desanime.

4And Moses said to Joshua, Be strong and courageous, for thou wilt make the children of Israel inherit the land, and the Lord will be with thee, he will not leave thee nor forsake thee, be not afraid nor disheartened.

5E Moisés chamou todos os filhos de Israel e disse-lhes: Vistes todo o bem que o Senhor vosso Deus vos fez no deserto.

5And Moses called to all the children of Israel and said to them, You have seen all the good which the Lord your God has done for you in the wilderness.

6Agora, pois, guarda todas as palavras desta lei e anda no caminho do Senhor teu Deus; não te desvies do caminho que o Senhor te ordenou, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda.

6Now therefore observe all the words of this law, and walk in the way of the Lord your God, turn not from the way which the Lord has commanded you, either to the right or to the left.

7E Moisés ensinou aos filhos de Israel os estatutos, os juízos e as leis, para fazerem na terra como o Senhor lhe ordenara.

7And Moses taught the children of Israel statutes and judgments and laws to do in the land as the Lord had commanded him.

8E ele lhes ensinou o caminho do Senhor e suas leis; eis que estão escritos no livro da lei de Deus, que ele deu aos filhos de Israel pela mão de Moisés.

8And he taught them the way of the Lord and his laws; behold they are written upon the book of the law of God which he gave to the children of Israel by the hand of Moses.

9E Moisés acabou de ordenar aos filhos de Israel, e o Senhor lhe disse, dizendo: Sobe ao monte Abarim e morre ali, e reuni-te ao teu povo como Arão, teu irmão, foi reunido.

9And Moses finished commanding the children of Israel, and the Lord said to him, saying, Go up to the Mount Abarim and die there, and be gathered unto thy people as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

10E Moisés subiu como o Senhor lhe ordenara, e morreu ali na terra de Moabe, por ordem do Senhor, no quadragésimo ano, desde a saída dos israelitas da terra do Egito.

10And Moses went up as the Lord had commanded him, and he died there in the land of Moab by the order of the Lord, in the fortieth year from the Israelites going forth from the land of Egypt.

11E os filhos de Israel choraram por Moisés nas planícies de Moabe por trinta dias, e os dias de choro e luto por Moisés se completaram.

11And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab for thirty days, and the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were completed.
