1E viajaram os filhos de Israel de Ramessés a Sucote, cerca de seiscentos mil homens a pé, além dos pequeninos e suas mulheres.

1And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides the little ones and their wives.

2Também subiu com eles uma multidão mista, e rebanhos e manadas, até mesmo muito gado.

2Also a mixed multitude went up with them, and flocks and herds, even much cattle.

3E a permanência dos filhos de Israel, que habitaram na terra do Egito em trabalhos forçados, foi de duzentos e dez anos.

3And the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in the land of Egypt in hard labor, was two hundred and ten years.

4E ao fim de duzentos e dez anos, o Senhor tirou os filhos de Israel do Egito com mão forte.

4And at the end of two hundred and ten years, the Lord brought forth the children of Israel from Egypt with a strong hand.

5E os filhos de Israel partiram do Egito, e de Gósen, e de Ramsés, e acamparam-se em Sucote, no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês.

5And the children of Israel traveled from Egypt and from Goshen and from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth on the fifteenth day of the first month.

6E os egípcios sepultaram todos os primogênitos que o Senhor havia ferido, e todos os egípcios sepultaram os seus mortos durante três dias.

6And the Egyptians buried all their first born whom the Lord had smitten, and all the Egyptians buried their slain for three days.

7E os filhos de Israel partiram de Sucote e acamparam em Etom, na extremidade do deserto.

7And the children of Israel traveled from Succoth and encamped in Ethom, at the end of the wilderness.

8E no terceiro dia depois que os egípcios enterraram seus primogênitos, muitos homens se levantaram do Egito e foram atrás de Israel para fazê-los retornar ao Egito, pois se arrependeram de terem mandado os israelitas para longe de sua servidão.

8And on the third day after the Egyptians had buried their first born, many men rose up from Egypt and went after Israel to make them return to Egypt, for they repented that they had sent the Israelites away from their servitude.

9E um homem disse ao seu próximo: Certamente Moisés e Arão falaram a Faraó, dizendo: Iremos uma jornada de três dias no deserto e sacrificaremos ao Senhor nosso Deus.

9And one man said to his neighbor, Surely Moses and Aaron spoke to Pharaoh, saying, We will go a three days' journey in the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God.

10Agora, portanto, levantemo-nos de manhã cedo e façamos com que eles retornem, e acontecerá que se eles retornarem conosco ao Egito, para seus senhores, então saberemos que há fé neles, mas se eles não retornarem, então lutaremos com eles e os faremos voltar com grande poder e mão forte.

10Now therefore let us rise up early in the morning and cause them to return, and it shall be that if they return with us to Egypt to their masters, then shall we know that there is faith in them, but if they will not return, then will we fight with them, and make them come back with great power and a strong hand.

11E todos os nobres de Faraó levantaram-se pela manhã, e com eles cerca de setecentos mil homens, e saíram do Egito naquele dia, e chegaram ao lugar onde estavam os filhos de Israel.

11And all the nobles of Pharaoh rose up in the morning, and with them about seven hundred thousand men, and they went forth from Egypt on that day, and came to the place where the children of Israel were.

12E todos os egípcios viram e eis que Moisés e Arão e todos os filhos de Israel estavam sentados diante de Pi-hahiroth, comendo, bebendo e celebrando a festa do Senhor.

12And all the Egyptians saw and behold Moses and Aaron and all the children of Israel were sitting before Pi-hahiroth, eating and drinking and celebrating the feast of the Lord.

13E todos os egípcios disseram aos filhos de Israel: Certamente dissestes: Faremos uma jornada de três dias no deserto e sacrificaremos ao nosso Deus e voltaremos.

13And all the Egyptians said to the children of Israel, Surely you said, We will go a journey for three days in the wilderness and sacrifice to our God and return.

14Agora, portanto, este dia faz cinco dias desde que você partiu, por que você não volta para seus mestres?

14Now therefore this day makes five days since you went, why do you not return to your masters?

15E Moisés e Arão responderam-lhes, dizendo: Porque o Senhor nosso Deus testificou em nós, dizendo: Não voltareis mais ao Egito, mas iremos para uma terra que mana leite e mel, como o Senhor nosso Deus jurou aos nossos antepassados ​​​​que nos daria.

15And Moses and Aaron answered them, saying, Because the Lord our God has testified in us, saying, You shall no more return to Egypt, but we will betake ourselves to a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord our God had sworn to our ancestors to give to us.

16E quando os nobres do Egito viram que os filhos de Israel não lhes deram ouvidos, para voltarem ao Egito, cingiram-se para lutar com Israel.

16And when the nobles of Egypt saw that the children of Israel did not hearken to them, to return to Egypt, they girded themselves to fight with Israel.

17E o Senhor fortaleceu os corações dos filhos de Israel sobre os egípcios, de modo que eles lhes deram uma surra severa, e a batalha foi acirrada para os egípcios, e todos os egípcios fugiram de diante dos filhos de Israel, pois muitos deles morreram pelas mãos de Israel.

17And the Lord strengthened the hearts of the children of Israel over the Egyptians, that they gave them a severe beating, and the battle was sore upon the Egyptians, and all the Egyptians fled from before the children of Israel, for many of them perished by the hand of Israel.

18E os nobres de Faraó foram ao Egito e avisaram a Faraó, dizendo: Os filhos de Israel fugiram e não retornarão mais ao Egito, e desta maneira Moisés e Arão nos falaram.

18And the nobles of Pharaoh went to Egypt and told Pharaoh, saying, The children of Israel have fled, and will no more return to Egypt, and in this manner did Moses and Aaron speak to us.

19E Faraó ouviu isso, e seu coração e os corações de todos os seus súditos se voltaram contra Israel, e eles se arrependeram de terem enviado Israel; e todos os egípcios aconselharam Faraó a perseguir os filhos de Israel para fazê-los voltar aos seus fardos.

19And Pharaoh heard this thing, and his heart and the hearts of all his subjects were turned against Israel, and they repented that they had sent Israel; and all the Egyptians advised Pharaoh to pursue the children of Israel to make them come back to their burdens.

20E disseram cada um ao seu irmão: Que foi isto que fizemos, para libertarmos Israel da nossa servidão?

20And they said each man to his brother, What is this which we have done, that we have sent Israel from our servitude?

21E o Senhor fortaleceu o coração de todos os egípcios para perseguirem os israelitas, pois o Senhor desejava derrubar os egípcios no Mar Vermelho.

21And the Lord strengthened the hearts of all the Egyptians to pursue the Israelites, for the Lord desired to overthrow the Egyptians in the Red Sea.

22E Faraó se levantou e atrelou sua carruagem, e ordenou que todos os egípcios se reunissem, não sobrou nenhum homem, exceto os pequeninos e as mulheres.

22And Pharaoh rose up and harnessed his chariot, and he ordered all the Egyptians to assemble, not one man was left excepting the little ones and the women.

23E todos os egípcios saíram com Faraó para perseguir os filhos de Israel, e o acampamento do Egito era um acampamento extremamente grande e pesado, cerca de dez cem mil homens.

23And all the Egyptians went forth with Pharaoh to pursue the children of Israel, and the camp of Egypt was an exceedingly large and heavy camp, about ten hundred thousand men.

24E todo este acampamento foi e perseguiu os filhos de Israel para trazê-los de volta ao Egito, e eles os alcançaram acampando junto ao Mar Vermelho.

24And the whole of this camp went and pursued the children of Israel to bring them back to Egypt, and they reached them encamping by the Red Sea.

25E os filhos de Israel levantaram os olhos e viram todos os egípcios os perseguindo, e os filhos de Israel ficaram muito aterrorizados com eles, e os filhos de Israel clamaram ao Senhor.

25And the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and beheld all the Egyptians pursuing them, and the children of Israel were greatly terrified at them, and the children of Israel cried to the Lord.

26E por causa dos egípcios, os filhos de Israel se dividiram em quatro divisões, e ficaram divididos em suas opiniões, pois tinham medo dos egípcios, e Moisés falou com cada um deles.

26And on account of the Egyptians, the children of Israel divided themselves into four divisions, and they were divided in their opinions, for they were afraid of the Egyptians, and Moses spoke to each of them.

27A primeira divisão era dos filhos de Rúben, Simeão e Issacar, e eles resolveram lançar-se ao mar, pois tinham muito medo dos egípcios.

27The first division was of the children of Reuben, Simeon, and Issachar, and they resolved to cast themselves into the sea, for they were exceedingly afraid of the Egyptians.

28E Moisés lhes disse: Não temais, ficai quietos e vede a salvação do Senhor, que Ele efetuará hoje para vós.

28And Moses said to them, Fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which He will effect this day for you.

29A segunda divisão era dos filhos de Zebulom, Benjamim e Naftali, e eles resolveram voltar ao Egito com os egípcios.

29The second division was of the children of Zebulun, Benjamin and Naphtali, and they resolved to go back to Egypt with the Egyptians.

30E Moisés lhes disse: Não temais, porque como hoje vistes os egípcios, assim nunca mais os vereis.

30And Moses said to them, Fear not, for as you have seen the Egyptians this day, so shall you see them no more for ever.

31A terceira divisão era dos filhos de Judá e de José, e eles resolveram ir ao encontro dos egípcios para lutar com eles.

31The third division was of the children of Judah and Joseph, and they resolved to go to meet the Egyptians to fight with them.

32E Moisés lhes disse: Fiquem em seus lugares, porque o Senhor lutará por vocês, e vocês permanecerão em silêncio.

32And Moses said to them, Stand in your places, for the Lord will fight for you, and you shall remain silent.

33E a quarta divisão era dos filhos de Levi, Gade e Aser, e eles resolveram ir para o meio dos egípcios para confundi-los, e Moisés disse-lhes: Permaneçam em seus postos e não temam, apenas clamem ao Senhor para que ele possa salvá-los de suas mãos.

33And the fourth division was of the children of Levi, Gad, and Asher, and they resolved to go into the midst of the Egyptians to confound them, and Moses said to them, Remain in your stations and fear not, only call unto the Lord that he may save you out of their hands.

34Depois disso, Moisés levantou-se do meio do povo e orou ao Senhor e disse:

34After this Moses rose up from amidst the people, and he prayed to the Lord and said,

35Ó Senhor Deus de toda a terra, salva agora o teu povo que tiraste do Egito, e não permitas que os egípcios se vangloriem de que o poder e a força são deles.

35O Lord God of the whole earth, save now thy people whom thou didst bring forth from Egypt, and let not the Egyptians boast that power and might are theirs.

36Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: Por que clamas a mim? fala aos filhos de Israel que eles irão, e estende a tua vara sobre o mar e divide-o, e os filhos de Israel passarão por ele.

36So the Lord said to Moses, Why dost thou cry unto me? speak to the children of Israel that they shall proceed, and do thou stretch out thy rod upon the sea and divide it, and the children of Israel shall pass through it.

37E Moisés fez isso, e levantou sua vara sobre o mar e o dividiu.

37And Moses did so, and he lifted up his rod upon the sea and divided it.

38E as águas do mar foram divididas em doze partes, e os filhos de Israel passaram a pé, com sapatos, como um homem passaria por uma estrada preparada.

38And the waters of the sea were divided into twelve parts, and the children of Israel passed through on foot, with shoes, as a man would pass through a prepared road.

39E o Senhor manifestou aos filhos de Israel as suas maravilhas no Egito e no mar pela mão de Moisés e de Arão.

39And the Lord manifested to the children of Israel his wonders in Egypt and in the sea by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

40E quando os filhos de Israel entraram no mar, os egípcios vieram atrás deles, e as águas do mar voltaram sobre eles, e todos eles afundaram na água, e não restou um homem, exceto Faraó, que deu graças ao Senhor e acreditou nele, portanto, o Senhor não o fez perecer naquele momento com os egípcios.

40And when the children of Israel had entered the sea, the Egyptians came after them, and the waters of the sea resumed upon them, and they all sank in the water, and not one man was left excepting Pharaoh, who gave thanks to the Lord and believed in him, therefore the Lord did not cause him to perish at that time with the Egyptians.

41E o Senhor ordenou a um anjo que o tirasse do meio dos egípcios, que o lançaram na terra de Nínive e ele reinou sobre ela por muito tempo.

41And the Lord ordered an angel to take him from amongst the Egyptians, who cast him upon the land of Ninevah and he reigned over it for a long time.

42E naquele dia o Senhor salvou Israel da mão do Egito, e todos os filhos de Israel viram que os egípcios haviam perecido, e viram a grande mão do Senhor, no que ele havia realizado no Egito e no mar.

42And on that day the Lord saved Israel from the hand of Egypt, and all the children of Israel saw that the Egyptians had perished, and they beheld the great hand of the Lord, in what he had performed in Egypt and in the sea.

43Então Moisés e os filhos de Israel cantaram este cântico ao Senhor, no dia em que o Senhor fez cair os egípcios diante deles.

43Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, on the day when the Lord caused the Egyptians to fall before them.

44E todo o Israel cantou em uníssono, dizendo: Cantarei ao Senhor porque Ele é muito exaltado; o cavalo e o seu cavaleiro foram lançados ao mar; eis que está escrito no livro da lei de Deus.

44And all Israel sang in concert, saying, I will sing to the Lord for He is greatly exalted, the horse and his rider has he cast into the sea; behold it is written in the book of the law of God.

45Depois disso, os filhos de Israel prosseguiram sua jornada e acamparam em Mara, e o Senhor deu aos filhos de Israel estatutos e julgamentos naquele lugar em Mara, e o Senhor ordenou aos filhos de Israel que andassem em todos os seus caminhos e o servissem.

45After this the children of Israel proceeded on their journey, and encamped in Marah, and the Lord gave to the children of Israel statutes and judgments in that place in Marah, and the Lord commanded the children of Israel to walk in all his ways and to serve him.

46E eles viajaram de Mara e chegaram a Elim, e em Elim havia doze fontes de água e setenta tamareiras, e as crianças acamparam ali perto das águas.

46And they journeyed from Marah and came to Elim, and in Elim were twelve springs of water and seventy date trees, and the children encamped there by the waters.

47E partiram de Elim e chegaram ao deserto de Sim, no décimo quinto dia do segundo mês depois da sua saída do Egito.

47And they journeyed from Elim and came to the wilderness of Sin, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departure from Egypt.

48Naquele tempo, o Senhor deu o maná aos filhos de Israel para comerem, e o Senhor fez chover comida do céu para os filhos de Israel, dia após dia.

48At that time the Lord gave the manna to the children of Israel to eat, and the Lord caused food to rain from heaven for the children of Israel day by day.

49E os filhos de Israel comeram o maná durante quarenta anos, todos os dias que estiveram no deserto, até que chegaram à terra de Canaã para possuí-la.

49And the children of Israel ate the manna for forty years, all the days that they were in the wilderness, until they came to the land of Canaan to possess it.

50E eles partiram do deserto de Sin e acamparam em Alush.

50And they proceeded from the wilderness of Sin and encamped in Alush.

51E eles partiram de Alush e acamparam em Refidim.

51And they proceeded from Alush and encamped in Rephidim.

52E estando os filhos de Israel em Refidim, veio Amaleque, filho de Elifaz, filho de Esaú, irmão de Zefo, guerrear contra Israel.

52And when the children of Israel were in Rephidim, Amalek the son of Eliphaz, the son of Esau, the brother of Zepho, came to fight with Israel.

53E ele trouxe consigo oitocentos e mil homens, mágicos e conjuradores, e se preparou para a batalha contra Israel em Refidim.

53And he brought with him eight hundred and one thousand men, magicians and conjurers, and he prepared for battle with Israel in Rephidim.

54E eles travaram uma grande e severa batalha contra Israel, e o Senhor entregou Amaleque e seu povo nas mãos de Moisés e dos filhos de Israel, e nas mãos de Josué, filho de Num, o efrateu, servo de Moisés.

54And they carried on a great and severe battle against Israel, and the Lord delivered Amalek and his people into the hands of Moses and the children of Israel, and into the hand of Joshua, the son of Nun, the Ephrathite, the servant of Moses.

55E os filhos de Israel feriram Amaleque e seu povo ao fio da espada, mas a batalha foi muito dura para os filhos de Israel.

55And the children of Israel smote Amalek and his people at the edge of the sword, but the battle was very sore upon the children of Israel.

56E o Senhor disse a Moisés: Escreve isto como memorial para ti num livro, e coloca-o na mão de Josué, filho de Num, teu servo, e ordenarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Quando vieres à terra de Canaã, apagarás totalmente a memória de Amaleque de debaixo do céu.

56And the Lord said to Moses, Write this thing as a memorial for thee in a book, and place it in the hand of Joshua, the son of Nun, thy servant, and thou shalt command the children of Israel, saying, When thou shalt come to the land of Canaan, thou shalt utterly efface the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

57E Moisés fez isso, e tomou o livro e escreveu sobre ele estas palavras, dizendo:

57And Moses did so, and he took the book and wrote upon it these words, saying,

58Lembra-te do que Amaleque te fez no caminho, quando saíste do Egito.

58Remember what Amalek has done to thee in the road when thou wentest forth from Egypt.

59Quem te encontrou na estrada e bateu na tua retaguarda, mesmo aqueles que estavam fracos atrás de ti quando estavas fraco e cansado.

59Who met thee in the road and smote thy rear, even those that were feeble behind thee when thou wast faint and weary.

60Portanto, quando o Senhor teu Deus te tiver dado descanso de todos os teus inimigos ao redor, na terra que o Senhor teu Deus te dá por herança, para possuí-la, então apagarás a memória de Amaleque de debaixo do céu, não a esquecerás.

60Therefore it shall be when the Lord thy God shall have given thee rest from all thine enemies round about in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven, thou shalt not forget it.

61E o rei que tiver piedade de Amaleque, ou da sua memória, ou da sua descendência, eis que isso lhe exigirei, e o extirparei do meio do seu povo.

61And the king who shall have pity on Amalek, or upon his memory or upon his seed, behold I will require it of him, and I will cut him off from amongst his people.

62E Moisés escreveu todas estas coisas num livro, e ordenou aos filhos de Israel a respeito de todos estes assuntos.

62And Moses wrote all these things in a book, and he enjoined the children of Israel respecting all these matters.
