Livro de Jasher 80

1E ao cabo de dois anos, o Senhor enviou novamente Moisés a Faraó para tirar os filhos de Israel e expulsá-los da terra do Egito.

1And at the end of two years, the Lord again sent Moses to Pharaoh to bring forth the children of Israel, and to send them out of the land of Egypt.

2E Moisés foi e veio à casa de Faraó, e falou-lhe as palavras do Senhor que o havia enviado, mas Faraó não deu ouvidos à voz do Senhor, e Deus despertou seu poder no Egito sobre Faraó e seus súditos, e Deus feriu Faraó e seu povo com pragas muito grandes e dolorosas.

2And Moses went and came to the house of Pharaoh, and he spoke to him the words of the Lord who had sent him, but Pharaoh would not hearken to the voice of the Lord, and God roused his might in Egypt upon Pharaoh and his subjects, and God smote Pharaoh and his people with very great and sore plagues.

3E o Senhor enviou pela mão de Arão e transformou em sangue todas as águas do Egito, com todas as suas correntes e rios.

3And the Lord sent by the hand of Aaron and turned all the waters of Egypt into blood, with all their streams and rivers.

4E quando um egípcio veio beber e tirar água, olhou para o seu cântaro e eis que toda a água se transformou em sangue; e quando ele veio beber do seu copo, a água do copo se tornou sangue.

4And when an Egyptian came to drink and draw water, he looked into his pitcher, and behold all the water was turned into blood; and when he came to drink from his cup the water in the cup became blood.

5E quando uma mulher amassava a massa e cozinhava os alimentos, a aparência deles se transformava em sangue.

5And when a woman kneaded her dough and cooked her victuals, their appearance was turned to that of blood.

6E o Senhor enviou novamente e fez com que todas as suas águas produzissem rãs, e todas as rãs entraram nas casas dos egípcios.

6And the Lord sent again and caused all their waters to bring forth frogs, and all the frogs came into the houses of the Egyptians.

7E quando os egípcios bebiam, suas barrigas se enchiam de sapos e eles dançavam em suas barrigas como dançam quando estão no rio.

7And when the Egyptians drank, their bellies were filled with frogs and they danced in their bellies as they dance when in the river.

8E toda a água para beber e para cozinhar se transformou em rãs, e também quando deitavam nas camas, o suor gerava rãs.

8And all their drinking water and cooking water turned to frogs, also when they lay in their beds their perspiration bred frogs.

9Apesar de tudo isso, a ira do Senhor não se desviou deles, e a sua mão se estendeu contra todos os egípcios, para feri-los com toda espécie de praga grave.

9Notwithstanding all this the anger of the Lord did not turn from them, and his hand was stretched out against all the Egyptians to smite them with every heavy plague.

10E ele enviou e transformou o seu pó em piolhos, e os piolhos cresceram no Egito até a altura de dois côvados sobre a terra.

10And he sent and smote their dust to lice, and the lice became in Egypt to the height of two cubits upon the earth.

11Os piolhos também eram muito numerosos, na carne de homens e animais, em todos os habitantes do Egito, também sobre o rei e a rainha o Senhor enviou os piolhos, e isso entristeceu muito o Egito por causa dos piolhos.

11The lice were also very numerous, in the flesh of man and beast, in all the inhabitants of Egypt, also upon the king and queen the Lord sent the lice, and it grieved Egypt exceedingly on account of the lice.

12Apesar disso, a ira do Senhor não se acalmou, e a sua mão ainda estava estendida sobre o Egito.

12Notwithstanding this, the anger of the Lord did not turn away, and his hand was still stretched out over Egypt.

13E o Senhor enviou todos os tipos de animais do campo ao Egito, e eles vieram e destruíram todo o Egito, homens e animais, e árvores, e todas as coisas que havia no Egito.

13And the Lord sent all kinds of beasts of the field into Egypt, and they came and destroyed all Egypt, man and beast, and trees, and all things that were in Egypt.

14E o Senhor enviou serpentes ardentes, escorpiões, ratos, doninhas, sapos, juntamente com outros rastejando no pó.

14And the Lord sent fiery serpents, scorpions, mice, weasels, toads, together with others creeping in dust.

15Moscas, vespas, pulgas, insetos e mosquitos, cada um enxameando de acordo com sua espécie.

15Flies, hornets, fleas, bugs and gnats, each swarm according to its kind.

16E todos os répteis e animais alados, conforme a sua espécie, vieram para o Egito e entristeceram excessivamente os egípcios.

16And all reptiles and winged animals according to their kind came to Egypt and grieved the Egyptians exceedingly.

17E as pulgas e moscas entraram nos olhos e ouvidos dos egípcios.

17And the fleas and flies came into the eyes and ears of the Egyptians.

18E a vespa veio sobre eles e os expulsou, e eles se retiraram dela para seus quartos internos, e ela os perseguiu.

18And the hornet came upon them and drove them away, and they removed from it into their inner rooms, and it pursued them.

19E quando os egípcios se esconderam por causa do enxame de animais, eles trancaram as portas atrás deles, e Deus ordenou ao Sulanuth que estava no mar, que subisse e entrasse no Egito.

19And when the Egyptians hid themselves on account of the swarm of animals, they locked their doors after them, and God ordered the Sulanuth which was in the sea, to come up and go into Egypt.

20E ela tinha braços longos, dez côvados de comprimento, o comprimento de um côvado de homem.

20And she had long arms, ten cubits in length of the cubit of a man.

21E ela foi até os telhados e descobriu as vigas e o piso e os cortou, e estendeu o braço para dentro da casa e removeu a fechadura e o ferrolho, e abriu as casas do Egito.

21And she went upon the roofs and uncovered the raftering and flooring and cut them, and stretched forth her arm into the house and removed the lock and the bolt, and opened the houses of Egypt.

22Depois veio o enxame de animais para as casas do Egito, e o enxame de animais destruiu os egípcios, e isso os entristeceu muito.

22Afterward came the swarm of animals into the houses of Egypt, and the swarm of animals destroyed the Egyptians, and it grieved them exceedingly.

23Apesar disso, a ira do Senhor não se desviou dos egípcios, e a sua mão ainda estava estendida contra eles.

23Notwithstanding this the anger of the Lord did not turn away from the Egyptians, and his hand was yet stretched forth against them.

24E Deus enviou a peste, e a peste invadiu o Egito, nos cavalos e nos jumentos, e nos camelos, nos rebanhos de bois e ovelhas e nos homens.

24And God sent the pestilence, and the pestilence pervaded Egypt, in the horses and asses, and in the camels, in herds of oxen and sheep and in man.

25E quando os egípcios se levantaram de manhã cedo para levar o seu gado para pastar, encontraram todo o seu gado morto.

25And when the Egyptians rose up early in the morning to take their cattle to pasture they found all their cattle dead.

26E do gado dos egípcios restou apenas um em cada dez, e do gado pertencente a Israel em Gósen, nenhum morreu.

26And there remained of the cattle of the Egyptians only one in ten, and of the cattle belonging to Israel in Goshen not one died.

27E Deus enviou uma inflamação ardente na carne dos egípcios, que rompeu suas peles, e se tornou uma coceira intensa em todos os egípcios, desde a sola dos pés até o alto da cabeça.

27And God sent a burning inflammation in the flesh of the Egyptians, which burst their skins, and it became a severe itch in all the Egyptians from the soles of their feet to the crowns of their heads.

28E havia muitos furúnculos em sua carne, que sua carne definhava até ficar podre e pútrida.

28And many boils were in their flesh, that their flesh wasted away until they became rotten and putrid.

29Apesar disso, a ira do Senhor não cessou, e a sua mão ainda estava estendida sobre todo o Egito.

29Notwithstanding this the anger of the Lord did not turn away, and his hand was still stretched out over all Egypt.

30E o Senhor enviou uma chuva de granizo muito forte, que feriu as suas vinhas e quebrou as suas árvores frutíferas e as secou, ​​de modo que caíram sobre elas.

30And the Lord sent a very heavy hail, which smote their vines and broke their fruit trees and dried them up that they fell upon them.

31Também toda erva verde secou e pereceu, pois um fogo misturado desceu no meio do granizo, portanto o granizo e o fogo consumiram todas as coisas.

31Also every green herb became dry and perished, for a mingling fire descended amidst the hail, therefore the hail and the fire consumed all things.

32Também homens e animais que foram encontrados no exterior morreram pelas chamas do fogo e do granizo, e todos os leões jovens ficaram exaustos.

32Also men and beasts that were found abroad perished of the flames of fire and of the hail, and all the young lions were exhausted.

33E o Senhor enviou e trouxe numerosos gafanhotos para o Egito, o Chasel, o Salom, o Chargol e o Chagole, gafanhotos cada um de sua espécie, que devoraram tudo o que restava do granizo.

33And the Lord sent and brought numerous locusts into Egypt, the Chasel, Salom, Chargol, and Chagole, locusts each of its kind, which devoured all that the hail had left remaining.

34Então os egípcios se alegraram com os gafanhotos, embora consumissem os produtos do campo, e os apanhavam em abundância e os salgavam como alimento.

34Then the Egyptians rejoiced at the locusts, although they consumed the produce of the field, and they caught them in abundance and salted them for food.

35E o Senhor virou um forte vento do mar que levou embora todos os gafanhotos, mesmo os que eram salgados, e os lançou no Mar Vermelho; nenhum gafanhoto permaneceu dentro dos limites do Egito.

35And the Lord turned a mighty wind of the sea which took away all the locusts, even those that were salted, and thrust them into the Red Sea; not one locust remained within the boundaries of Egypt.

36E Deus enviou trevas sobre o Egito, de modo que toda a terra do Egito e de Patros ficou escura por três dias, de modo que um homem não podia ver a sua mão quando a levava à boca.

36And God sent darkness upon Egypt, that the whole land of Egypt and Pathros became dark for three days, so that a man could not see his hand when he lifted it to his mouth.

37Naquele tempo morreram muitos do povo de Israel que se rebelaram contra o Senhor e que não deram ouvidos a Moisés e Arão, e não acreditaram naqueles que Deus os havia enviado.

37At that time died many of the people of Israel who had rebelled against the Lord and who would not hearken to Moses and Aaron, and believed not in them that God had sent them.

38E que disse: Não sairemos do Egito para que não pereçamos de fome num deserto desolado, e que não quis ouvir a voz de Moisés.

38And who had said, We will not go forth from Egypt lest we perish with hunger in a desolate wilderness, and who would not hearken to the voice of Moses.

39E o Senhor os atormentou nos três dias de escuridão, e os israelitas os enterraram naqueles dias, sem que os egípcios soubessem deles ou se alegrassem por eles.

39And the Lord plagued them in the three days of darkness, and the Israelites buried them in those days, without the Egyptians knowing of them or rejoicing over them.

40E a escuridão foi muito grande no Egito por três dias, e qualquer pessoa que estivesse de pé quando a escuridão veio, permanecia de pé no seu lugar, e aquele que estava sentado permaneceu sentado, e aquele que estava deitado continuou deitado no mesmo estado, e aquele que estava andando permaneceu sentado no chão no mesmo lugar; e isto aconteceu com todos os egípcios, até que as trevas passaram.

40And the darkness was very great in Egypt for three days, and any person who was standing when the darkness came, remained standing in his place, and he that was sitting remained sitting, and he that was lying continued lying in the same state, and he that was walking remained sitting upon the ground in the same spot; and this thing happened to all the Egyptians, until the darkness had passed away.

41E os dias de trevas passaram, e o Senhor enviou Moisés e Arão aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Celebrai a vossa festa e fazei a vossa Páscoa, porque eis que venho no meio da noite entre todos os egípcios, e ferirei todos os seus primogênitos, desde o primogênito de um homem até o primogênito de um animal, e quando eu vir a vossa Páscoa, passarei por cima de vós.

41And the days of darkness passed away, and the Lord sent Moses and Aaron to the children of Israel, saying, Celebrate your feast and make your Passover, for behold I come in the midst of the night amongst all the Egyptians, and I will smite all their first born, from the first born of a man to the first born of a beast, and when I see your Passover, I will pass over you.

42E os filhos de Israel fizeram conforme tudo o que o Senhor ordenara a Moisés e a Arão, assim fizeram naquela noite.

42And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, thus did they in that night.

43E aconteceu que, à meia noite, o Senhor saiu pelo meio do Egito e feriu todos os primogênitos dos egípcios, desde o primogênito do homem até o primogênito dos animais.

43And it came to pass in the middle of the night, that the Lord went forth in the midst of Egypt, and smote all the first born of the Egyptians, from the first born of man to the first born of beast.

44E Faraó levantou-se de noite, ele e todos os seus servos e todos os egípcios, e houve um grande clamor por todo o Egito naquela noite, porque não havia casa em que não houvesse cadáver.

44And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians, and there was a great cry throughout Egypt in that night, for there was not a house in which there was not a corpse.

45Também as imagens dos primogênitos do Egito, que foram esculpidas nas paredes de suas casas, foram destruídas e caíram no chão.

45Also the likenesses of the first born of Egypt, which were carved in the walls at their houses, were destroyed and fell to the ground.

46Até mesmo os ossos de seus primogênitos, que morreram antes disso e que eles enterraram em suas casas, foram varridos pelos cães do Egito naquela noite e arrastados diante dos egípcios e lançados diante deles.

46Even the bones of their first born who had died before this and whom they had buried in their houses, were raked up by the dogs of Egypt on that night and dragged before the Egyptians and cast before them.

47E todos os egípcios viram este mal que de repente lhes sobreveio, e todos os egípcios gritaram em alta voz.

47And all the Egyptians saw this evil which had suddenly come upon them, and all the Egyptians cried out with a loud voice.

48E todas as famílias do Egito choraram naquela noite, cada homem por seu filho e cada homem por sua filha, sendo o primogênito, e o tumulto do Egito foi ouvido à distância naquela noite.

48And all the families of Egypt wept upon that night, each man for his son and each man for his daughter, being the first born, and the tumult of Egypt was heard at a distance on that night.

49E Bathia, filha de Faraó, saiu com o rei naquela noite para procurar Moisés e Arão em suas casas, e eles os encontraram em suas casas, comendo e bebendo e regozijando-se com todo o Israel.

49And Bathia the daughter of Pharaoh went forth with the king on that night to seek Moses and Aaron in their houses, and they found them in their houses, eating and drinking and rejoicing with all Israel.

50E Bathia disse a Moisés: É esta a recompensa pelo bem que eu te fiz, que te criou e te estendeu, e tu trouxeste este mal sobre mim e a casa de meu pai?

50And Bathia said to Moses, Is this the reward for the good which I have done to thee, who have reared thee and stretched thee out, and thou hast brought this evil upon me and my father's house?

51E Moisés lhe disse: Certamente dez pragas o Senhor trouxe sobre o Egito; algum mal te adveio de algum deles? algum deles te afetou? e ela disse: Não.

51And Moses said to her, Surely ten plagues did the Lord bring upon Egypt; did any evil accrue to thee from any of them? did one of them affect thee? and she said, No.

52E Moisés lhe disse: Ainda que sejas o primogênito de tua mãe, não morrerás, e nenhum mal te atingirá no meio do Egito.

52And Moses said to her, Although thou art the first born to thy mother, thou shalt not die, and no evil shall reach thee in the midst of Egypt.

53E ela disse: Que vantagem tenho para mim, quando vejo o rei, meu irmão, e toda a sua casa e súditos neste mal, cujos primogênitos perecem com todos os primogênitos do Egito?

53And she said, What advantage is it to me, when I see the king, my brother, and all his household and subjects in this evil, whose first born perish with all the first born of Egypt?

54E Moisés lhe disse: Certamente teu irmão e sua casa, e súditos, as famílias do Egito, não deram ouvidos às palavras do Senhor, por isso este mal veio sobre eles.

54And Moses said to her, Surely thy brother and his household, and subjects, the families of Egypt, would not hearken to the words of the Lord, therefore did this evil come upon them.

55E Faraó, rei do Egito, aproximou-se de Moisés e de Arão, e de alguns dos filhos de Israel que estavam com eles naquele lugar, e orou-lhes, dizendo:

55And Pharaoh king of Egypt approached Moses and Aaron, and some of the children of Israel who were with them in that place, and he prayed to them, saying,

56Levante-se e tome seus irmãos, todos os filhos de Israel que estão na terra, com suas ovelhas e bois, e todos os que lhes pertencem, não deixarão nada sobrando, apenas ore por mim ao Senhor seu Deus.

56Rise up and take your brethren, all the children of Israel who are in the land, with their sheep and oxen, and all belonging to them, they shall leave nothing remaining, only pray for me to the Lord your God.

57E Moisés disse ao Faraó: Embora sejas o primogênito de tua mãe, não temas, pois não morrerás, pois o Senhor ordenou que vivesses, para te mostrar seu grande poder e seu forte braço estendido.

57And Moses said to Pharaoh, Behold though thou art thy mother's first born, yet fear not, for thou wilt not die, for the Lord has commanded that thou shalt live, in order to show thee his great might and strong stretched out arm.

58E Faraó ordenou que os filhos de Israel fossem mandados embora, e todos os egípcios se fortaleceram para enviá-los, pois diziam: Estamos todos perecendo.

58And Pharaoh ordered the children of Israel to be sent away, and all the Egyptians strengthened themselves to send them, for they said, We are all perishing.

59E todos os egípcios enviaram os israelitas com grandes riquezas, ovelhas, bois e coisas preciosas, conforme o juramento do Senhor entre ele e nosso Pai Abraão.

59And all the Egyptians sent the Israelites forth, with great riches, sheep and oxen and precious things, according to the oath of the Lord between him and our Father Abraham.

60E os filhos de Israel demoraram a sair de noite, e quando os egípcios chegaram a eles para tirá-los, disseram-lhes: Somos ladrões, para sairmos de noite?

60And the children of Israel delayed going forth at night, and when the Egyptians came to them to bring them out, they said to them, Are we thieves, that we should go forth at night?

61E os filhos de Israel pediram aos egípcios vasos de prata, e vasos de ouro, e vestes, e os filhos de Israel despojaram os egípcios.

61And the children of Israel asked of the Egyptians, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and the children of Israel stripped the Egyptians.

62E Moisés apressou-se e levantou-se e foi ao rio do Egito, e dali trouxe o caixão de José e levou-o consigo.

62And Moses hastened and rose up and went to the river of Egypt, and brought up from thence the coffin of Joseph and took it with him.

63Os filhos de Israel também trouxeram consigo, cada homem o caixão de seu pai, e cada homem os caixões de sua tribo.

63The children of Israel also brought up, each man his father's coffin with him, and each man the coffins of his tribe.
