1E estes são os nomes dos filhos de Israel que habitaram no Egito, que vieram com Jacó; todos os filhos de Jacó vieram ao Egito, cada um com a sua casa.
1And these are the names of the sons of Israel who dwelt in Egypt, who had come with Jacob, all the sons of Jacob came unto Egypt, every man with his household.
2Os filhos de Lia foram Rúben, Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issacar e Zebulom, e sua irmã Diná.
2The children of Leah were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar and Zebulun, and their sister Dinah.
3E os filhos de Raquel foram José e Benjamim.
3And the sons of Rachel were Joseph and Benjamin.
4E os filhos de Zilpa, serva de Lia, foram Gade e Aser.
4And the sons of Zilpah, the handmaid of Leah, were Gad and Asher.
5E os filhos de Bila, serva de Raquel, foram Dan e Naftali.
5And the sons of Bilhah, the handmaid of Rachel, were Dan and Naphtali.
6E estes foram os seus descendentes que lhes nasceram na terra de Canaã, antes de virem para o Egito com seu pai Jacó.
6And these were their offspring that were born unto them in the land of Canaan, before they came unto Egypt with their father Jacob.
7Os filhos de Rúben foram Chanoch, Pallu, Chetzron e Carmi.
7The sons of Reuben were Chanoch, Pallu, Chetzron and Carmi.
8E os filhos de Simeão foram Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zochar e Saul, filho da mulher cananéia.
8And the sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zochar and Saul, the son of the Canaanitish woman.
9E os filhos de Levi foram Gérson, Queate e Merari, e sua irmã Joquebede, que lhes nasceu quando desceram ao Egito.
9And the children of Levi were Gershon, Kehath and Merari, and their sister Jochebed, who was born unto them in their going down to Egypt.
10E os filhos de Judá foram Er, Onã, Selá, Perez e Zaraque.
10And the sons of Judah were Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez and Zarach.
11E Er e Onã morreram na terra de Canaã; e os filhos de Perez foram Chezron e Chamul.
11And Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan; and the sons of Perez were Chezron and Chamul.
12E os filhos de Issacar foram Tola, Puvah, Jó e Shomron.
12And the sons of Issachar were Tola, Puvah, Job and Shomron.
13E os filhos de Zebulom foram Sered, Elon e Jachleel, e o filho de Dan foi Chushim.
13And the sons of Zebulun were Sered, Elon and Jachleel, and the son of Dan was Chushim.
14E os filhos de Naftali foram Jachzeel, Guni, Jetzer e Shilam.
14And the sons of Naphtali were Jachzeel, Guni, Jetzer and Shilam.
15E os filhos de Gad foram Zifion, Chaggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi e Areli.
15And the sons of Gad were Ziphion, Chaggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi and Areli.
16E os filhos de Aser foram Jimnah, Jishvah, Jishvi, Berias e sua irmã Serach; e os filhos de Berias foram Queber e Malquiel.
16And the children of Asher were Jimnah, Jishvah, Jishvi, Beriah and their sister Serach; and the sons of Beriah were Cheber and Malchiel.
17E os filhos de Benjamim foram Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naamã, Achi, Rosh, Mupim, Chupim e Ord.
17And the sons of Benjamin were Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Achi, Rosh, Mupim, Chupim and Ord.
18E os filhos de José, que lhe nasceram no Egito, foram Manassés e Efraim.
18And the sons of Joseph, that were born unto him in Egypt, were Manasseh and Ephraim.
19E todas as almas que saíram dos lombos de Jacó foram setenta almas; estes são os que vieram com Jacó, seu pai, ao Egito, para habitar ali; e José e todos os seus irmãos habitaram seguros no Egito, e comeram do melhor do Egito todos os dias da vida de José.
19And all the souls that went forth from the loins of Jacob, were seventy souls; these are they who came with Jacob their father unto Egypt to dwell there: and Joseph and all his brethren dwelt securely in Egypt, and they ate of the best of Egypt all the days of the life of Joseph.
20E José viveu na terra do Egito noventa e três anos, e José reinou sobre todo o Egito oitenta anos.
20And Joseph lived in the land of Egypt ninety-three years, and Joseph reigned over all Egypt eighty years.
21E quando se aproximaram os dias de José em que ele morreria, ele enviou e chamou seus irmãos e toda a casa de seu pai, e todos se reuniram e sentaram-se diante dele.
21And when the days of Joseph drew nigh that he should die, he sent and called for his brethren and all his father's household, and they all came together and sat before him.
22E José disse a seus irmãos e a toda a família de seu pai: Eis que morro, e Deus certamente vos visitará e vos fará subir desta terra para a terra que ele jurou a vossos pais dar-lhes.
22And Joseph said unto his brethren and unto the whole of his father's household, Behold I die, and God will surely visit you and bring you up from this land to the land which he swore to your fathers to give unto them.
23E será quando Deus vos visitar, para vos trazer daqui para a terra de vossos pais, e então trazer os meus ossos convosco daqui.
23And it shall be when God shall visit you to bring you up from here to the land of your fathers, then bring up my bones with you from here.
24E José fez jurar os filhos de Israel pela sua descendência depois deles, dizendo: Certamente Deus vos visitará e fareis subir convosco os meus ossos daqui.
24And Joseph made the sons of Israel to swear for their seed after them, saying, God will surely visit you and you shall bring up my bones with you from here.
25E aconteceu depois disso que José morreu naquele ano, o septuagésimo primeiro ano da descida dos israelitas ao Egito.
25And it came to pass after this that Joseph died in that year, the seventy-first year of the Israelites going down to Egypt.
26E José tinha cento e dez anos quando morreu na terra do Egito, e todos os seus irmãos e todos os seus servos se levantaram e embalsamaram José, como era seu costume, e seus irmãos e todo o Egito choraram por ele por setenta dias.
26And Joseph was one hundred and ten years old when he died in the land of Egypt, and all his brethren and all his servants rose up and they embalmed Joseph, as was their custom, and his brethren and all Egypt mourned over him for seventy days.
27E eles colocaram José em um caixão cheio de especiarias e todos os tipos de perfume, e eles o enterraram na margem do rio, isto é, Sihor, e seus filhos e todos os seus irmãos, e toda a casa de seu pai fizeram um luto de sete dias por ele.
27And they put Joseph in a coffin filled with spices and all sorts of perfume, and they buried him by the side of the river, that is Sihor, and his sons and all his brethren, and the whole of his father's household made a seven day's mourning for him.
28E aconteceu que após a morte de José, todos os egípcios começaram naqueles dias a governar os filhos de Israel, e Faraó, rei do Egito, que reinou no lugar de seu pai, adotou todas as leis do Egito e conduziu todo o governo do Egito sob seu conselho, e reinou com segurança sobre seu povo.
28And it came to pass after the death of Joseph, all the Egyptians began in those days to rule over the children of Israel, and Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who reigned in his father's stead, took all the laws of Egypt and conducted the whole government of Egypt under his counsel, and he reigned securely over his people.
