1E foi no octogésimo quarto ano da vida de Noé, que Enoque, filho de Sete, morreu; ele tinha novecentos e cinco anos de idade quando morreu.

1And it was in the eighty-fourth year of the life of Noah, that Enoch the son of Seth died, he was nine hundred and five years old at his death.

2E no ano cento e setenta e nove da vida de Noé, Cainan, filho de Enosh, morreu, e todos os dias de Cainan foram novecentos e dez anos, e ele morreu.

2And in the one hundred and seventy ninth year of the life of Noah, Cainan the son of Enosh died, and all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

3E no duzentos e trinta e quatro anos da vida de Noé, Mahlallel, filho de Cainan, morreu, e os dias de Mahlallel foram oitocentos e noventa e cinco anos, e ele morreu.

3And in the two hundred and thirty fourth year of the life of Noah, Mahlallel the son of Cainan died, and the days of Mahlallel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.

4E Jared, filho de Mahlallel, morreu naqueles dias, no trezentos e trinta e seis anos da vida de Noé; e todos os dias de Jarede foram novecentos e sessenta e dois anos, e ele morreu.

4And Jared the son of Mahlallel died in those days, in the three hundred and thirty-sixth year of the life of Noah; and all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.

5E todos os que seguiram o Senhor morreram naqueles dias, antes de verem o mal que Deus declarou fazer na terra.

5And all who followed the Lord died in those days, before they saw the evil which God declared to do upon earth.

6E após o lapso de muitos anos, no quatrocentos e oitenta anos da vida de Noé, quando todos aqueles homens que seguiram o Senhor morreram dentre os filhos dos homens, e apenas Matusalém restou, Deus disse a Noé e Matusalém, dizendo:

6And after the lapse of many years, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the life of Noah, when all those men, who followed the Lord had died away from amongst the sons of men, and only Methuselah was then left, God said unto Noah and Methuselah, saying,

7Falai e proclamai aos filhos dos homens, dizendo: Assim diz o Senhor: Convertei-vos dos vossos maus caminhos e abandonai as vossas obras, e o Senhor se arrependerá do mal que declarou fazer-vos, para que não aconteça.

7Speak ye, and proclaim to the sons of men, saying, Thus saith the Lord, return from your evil ways and forsake your works, and the Lord will repent of the evil that he declared to do to you, so that it shall not come to pass.

8Pois assim diz o Senhor: Eis que vos dou um período de cento e vinte anos; se você se converter para mim e abandonar os seus maus caminhos, então também eu me afastarei do mal que lhe disse, e ele não existirá, diz o Senhor.

8For thus saith the Lord, Behold I give you a period of one hundred and twenty years; if you will turn to me and forsake your evil ways, then will I also turn away from the evil which I told you, and it shall not exist, saith the Lord.

9E Noé e Matusalém falaram todas as palavras do Senhor aos filhos dos homens, dia após dia, falando constantemente com eles.

9And Noah and Methuselah spoke all the words of the Lord to the sons of men, day after day, constantly speaking to them.

10Mas os filhos dos homens não lhes quiseram ouvir, nem inclinaram os ouvidos às suas palavras, e ficaram obstinados.

10But the sons of men would not hearken to them, nor incline their ears to their words, and they were stiffnecked.

11E o Senhor concedeu-lhes um período de cento e vinte anos, dizendo: Se eles voltarem, então Deus se arrependerá do mal, para não destruir a terra.

11And the Lord granted them a period of one hundred and twenty years, saying, If they will return, then will God repent of the evil, so as not to destroy the earth.

12Noé, filho de Lameque, absteve-se de se casar naqueles dias para gerar filhos, pois disse: Certamente agora Deus destruirá a terra, por que então gerarei filhos?

12Noah the son of Lamech refrained from taking a wife in those days, to beget children, for he said, Surely now God will destroy the earth, wherefore then shall I beget children?

13E Noé era um homem justo, ele era perfeito em sua geração, e o Senhor o escolheu para suscitar descendência de sua descendência sobre a face da terra.

13And Noah was a just man, he was perfect in his generation, and the Lord chose him to raise up seed from his seed upon the face of the earth.

14E o Senhor disse a Noé: Toma uma esposa e gera filhos, pois te vi justo diante de mim nesta geração.

14And the Lord said unto Noah, Take unto thee a wife, and beget children, for I have seen thee righteous before me in this generation.

15E suscitarás descendência, e teus filhos contigo, no meio da terra; e Noé foi e tomou uma esposa, e ele escolheu Naamah, filha de Enoque, e ela tinha quinhentos e oitenta anos de idade.

15And thou shalt raise up seed, and thy children with thee, in the midst of the earth; and Noah went and took a wife, and he chose Naamah the daughter of Enoch, and she was five hundred and eighty years old.

16E Noé tinha quatrocentos e noventa e oito anos quando tomou Naamah por esposa.

16And Noah was four hundred and ninety-eight years old, when he took Naamah for a wife.

17E Naamah concebeu e deu à luz um filho, e chamou o seu nome Jafé, dizendo: Deus me ampliou na terra; e ela concebeu novamente e deu à luz um filho, e ele chamou seu nome de Sem, dizendo: Deus me fez um remanescente, para suscitar descendência no meio da terra.

17And Naamah conceived and bare a son, and he called his name Japheth, saying, God has enlarged me in the earth; and she conceived again and bare a son, and he called his name Shem, saying, God has made me a remnant, to raise up seed in the midst of the earth.

18E Noé tinha quinhentos e dois anos quando Naamah deu à luz Sem, e os meninos cresceram e seguiram os caminhos do Senhor, em tudo o que Matusalém e Noé, seu pai, lhes ensinaram.

18And Noah was five hundred and two years old when Naamah bare Shem, and the boys grew up and went in the ways of the Lord, in all that Methuselah and Noah their father taught them.

19E Lameque, pai de Noé, morreu naqueles dias; contudo, na verdade, ele não seguiu de todo o coração os caminhos de seu pai e morreu no centésimo nonagésimo quinto ano da vida de Noé.

19And Lamech the father of Noah, died in those days; yet verily he did not go with all his heart in the ways of his father, and he died in the hundred and ninety-fifth year of the life of Noah.

20E foram todos os dias de Lameque setecentos e setenta anos, e ele morreu.

20And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy years, and he died.

21E todos os filhos dos homens que conheceram o Senhor morreram naquele ano antes que o Senhor trouxesse o mal sobre eles; pois o Senhor quis que morressem, para não verem o mal que Deus traria sobre seus irmãos e parentes, como ele havia declarado fazer.

21And all the sons of men who knew the Lord, died in that year before the Lord brought evil upon them; for the Lord willed them to die, so as not to behold the evil that God would bring upon their brothers and relatives, as he had so declared to do.

22Naquele tempo, o Senhor disse a Noé e Matusalém: Apareçam e proclamem aos filhos dos homens todas as palavras que eu lhes falei naqueles dias, talvez eles possam se desviar de seus maus caminhos, e então eu me arrependerei do mal e não o trarei.

22In that time, the Lord said to Noah and Methuselah, Stand forth and proclaim to the sons of men all the words that I spoke to you in those days, peradventure they may turn from their evil ways, and I will then repent of the evil and will not bring it.

23E Noé e Matusalém se apresentaram e disseram aos ouvidos dos filhos dos homens tudo o que Deus havia falado a respeito deles.

23And Noah and Methuselah stood forth, and said in the ears of the sons of men, all that God had spoken concerning them.

24Mas os filhos dos homens não deram ouvidos, nem inclinaram os ouvidos a todas as suas declarações.

24But the sons of men would not hearken, neither would they incline their ears to all their declarations.

25E foi depois disso que o Senhor disse a Noé: O fim de toda a carne chegou diante de mim, por causa de suas más ações, e eis que destruirei a terra.

25And it was after this that the Lord said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me, on account of their evil deeds, and behold I will destroy the earth.

26E pegue madeira de gofer e vá a um determinado lugar e faça uma grande arca e coloque-a naquele local.

26And do thou take unto thee gopher wood, and go to a certain place and make a large ark, and place it in that spot.

27E assim o farás; trezentos côvados de comprimento, cinquenta côvados de largura e trinta côvados de altura.

27And thus shalt thou make it; three hundred cubits its length, fifty cubits broad and thirty cubits high.

28E farás para ti uma porta, aberta de lado, e de um côvado terminarás em cima, e cobrirá-a por dentro e por fora com piche.

28And thou shalt make unto thee a door, open at its side, and to a cubit thou shalt finish above, and cover it within and without with pitch.

29E eis que trarei o dilúvio de águas sobre a terra, e toda a carne será destruída, de debaixo dos céus tudo o que há na terra perecerá.

29And behold I will bring the flood of waters upon the earth, and all flesh be destroyed, from under the heavens all that is upon earth shall perish.

30E tu e a tua família irão e colherão dois casais de todos os seres vivos, macho e fêmea, e os trarão para a arca, para suscitarem descendência deles na terra.

30And thou and thy household shall go and gather two couple of all living things, male and female, and shall bring them to the ark, to raise up seed from them upon earth.

31E ajunta para ti todo o alimento que todos os animais comem, para que haja alimento para ti e para eles.

31And gather unto thee all food that is eaten by all the animals, that there may be food for thee and for them.

32E escolherás para teus filhos três donzelas, dentre as filhas dos homens, e elas serão esposas de teus filhos.

32And thou shalt choose for thy sons three maidens, from the daughters of men, and they shall be wives to thy sons.

33E Noé levantou-se, e fez a arca, no lugar onde Deus lhe ordenara, e Noé fez como Deus lhe ordenara.

33And Noah rose up, and he made the ark, in the place where God had commanded him, and Noah did as God had ordered him.

34Em seu quinhentos e noventa e cinco anos, Noé começou a fazer a arca, e ele a fez em cinco anos, como o Senhor havia ordenado.

34In his five hundred and ninety-fifth year Noah commenced to make the ark, and he made the ark in five years, as the Lord had commanded.

35Então Noé tomou as três filhas de Eliaquim, filho de Matusalém, como esposas para seus filhos, como o Senhor ordenara a Noé.

35Then Noah took the three daughters of Eliakim, son of Methuselah, for wives for his sons, as the Lord had commanded Noah.

36E foi nessa época que Matusalém, filho de Enoque, morreu, com novecentos e sessenta anos de idade, quando morreu.

36And it was at that time Methuselah the son of Enoch died, nine hundred and sixty years old was he, at his death.
