Livro de Jasher 22

1E Ismael então se levantou e tomou sua esposa e seus filhos e seu gado e tudo o que lhe pertencia, e ele viajou de lá e foi para seu pai na terra dos filisteus.

1And Ishmael then rose up and took his wife and his children and his cattle and all belonging to him, and he journeyed from there and he went to his father in the land of the Philistines.

2E Abraão relatou a Ismael, seu filho, o negócio com a primeira esposa que Ismael tomou, conforme o que ela fez.

2And Abraham related to Ishmael his son the transaction with the first wife that Ishmael took, according to what she did.

3E Ismael e seus filhos habitaram com Abraão muitos dias naquela terra, e Abraão habitou muito tempo na terra dos filisteus.

3And Ishmael and his children dwelt with Abraham many days in that land, and Abraham dwelt in the land of the Philistines a long time.

4E os dias aumentaram e chegaram a vinte e seis anos, e depois disso Abraão com seus servos e todos os pertencentes a ele foram da terra dos filisteus e se mudaram para uma grande distância, e chegaram perto de Hebron, e permaneceram lá, e os servos de Abraão cavaram poços de água, e Abraão e todos os pertencentes a ele habitaram perto da água, e os servos de Abimeleque, rei dos filisteus, ouviram o relato de que os servos de Abraão haviam cavado poços de água nas fronteiras de a terra.

4And the days increased and reached twenty six years, and after that Abraham with his servants and all belonging to him went from the land of the Philistines and removed to a great distance, and they came near to Hebron, and they remained there, and the servants of Abraham dug wells of water, and Abraham and all belonging to him dwelt by the water, and the servants of Abimelech king of the Philistines heard the report that Abraham's servants had dug wells of water in the borders of the land.

5E eles vieram e discutiram com os servos de Abraão, e roubaram-lhes o grande poço que haviam cavado.

5And they came and quarreled with the servants of Abraham, and they robbed them of the great well which they had dug.

6E Abimeleque, rei dos filisteus, ouviu falar deste caso, e ele com Ficol, o capitão de seu exército, e vinte de seus homens vieram a Abraão, e Abimeleque falou a Abraão a respeito de seus servos, e Abraão repreendeu Abimeleque a respeito do poço que seus servos o haviam roubado.

6And Abimelech king of the Philistines heard of this affair, and he with Phicol the captain of his host and twenty of his men came to Abraham, and Abimelech spoke to Abraham concerning his servants, and Abraham rebuked Abimelech concerning the well of which his servants had robbed him.

7E Abimeleque disse a Abraão: Como vive o Senhor que criou toda a terra, eu não ouvi falar do ato que meus servos fizeram a teus servos até hoje.

7And Abimelech said to Abraham, As the Lord liveth who created the whole earth, I did not hear of the act which my servants did unto thy servants until this day.

8E Abraão tomou sete cordeiras e deu-as a Abimeleque, dizendo: Toma estes, peço-te, das minhas mãos, para que me sirva de testemunho que cavei este poço.

8And Abraham took seven ewe lambs and gave them to Abimelech, saying, Take these, I pray thee, from my hands that it may be a testimony for me that I dug this well.

9E Abimeleque tomou as sete cordeiras que Abraão lhe tinha dado, pois ele também lhe tinha dado gado e gado em abundância, e Abimeleque jurou a Abraão a respeito do poço, por isso ele chamou aquele poço de Berseba, pois ali ambos juraram a respeito dele.

9And Abimelech took the seven ewe lambs which Abraham had given to him, for he had also given him cattle and herds in abundance, and Abimelech swore to Abraham concerning the well, therefore he called that well Beersheba, for there they both swore concerning it.

10E ambos fizeram uma aliança em Berseba, e Abimeleque se levantou com Ficol, o capitão do seu exército, e todos os seus homens, e eles retornaram para a terra dos filisteus, e Abraão e todos os pertencentes a ele habitaram em Berseba e ele esteve naquela terra por muito tempo.

10And they both made a covenant in Beersheba, and Abimelech rose up with Phicol the captain of his host and all his men, and they returned to the land of the Philistines, and Abraham and all belonging to him dwelt in Beersheba and he was in that land a long time.

11E Abraão plantou um grande bosque em Berseba, e fez nele quatro portões voltados para os quatro lados da terra, e plantou uma vinha nele, de modo que se um viajante chegasse a Abraão, ele entrasse em qualquer portão que estivesse em seu caminho, e permanecesse lá e comesse, bebesse e se fartasse e então partisse.

11And Abraham planted a large grove in Beersheba, and he made to it four gates facing the four sides of the earth, and he planted a vineyard in it, so that if a traveler came to Abraham he entered any gate which was in his road, and remained there and ate and drank and satisfied himself and then departed.

12Pois a casa de Abraão estava sempre aberta aos filhos dos homens que passavam e repassavam, que vinham diariamente para comer e beber na casa de Abraão.

12For the house of Abraham was always open to the sons of men that passed and repassed, who came daily to eat and drink in the house of Abraham.

13E qualquer homem que tivesse fome e fosse à casa de Abraão, Abraão lhe daria pão para comer e beber e se fartar, e qualquer homem que entrasse nu em sua casa ele vestiria com roupas que quisesse, e lhe daria prata e ouro e lhe faria conhecer o Senhor que o criou na terra; isso fez Abraão durante toda a sua vida.

13And any man who had hunger and came to Abraham's house, Abraham would give him bread that he might eat and drink and be satisfied, and any one that came naked to his house he would clothe with garments as he might choose, and give him silver and gold and make known to him the Lord who had created him in the earth; this did Abraham all his life.

14E Abraão e seus filhos e todos os pertencentes a ele habitaram em Berseba, e ele armou sua tenda até Hebron.

14And Abraham and his children and all belonging to him dwelt in Beersheba, and he pitched his tent as far as Hebron.

15E o irmão de Abraão, Naor, e seu pai e todos os pertencentes a eles habitaram em Harã, pois não vieram com Abraão para a terra de Canaã.

15And Abraham's brother Nahor and his father and all belonging to them dwelt in Haran, for they did not come with Abraham to the land of Canaan.

16E nasceram filhos a Naor, que Milca, filha de Harã, e irmã de Sara, esposa de Abraão, lhe deu.

16And children were born to Nahor which Milca the daughter of Haran, and sister to Sarah, Abraham's wife, bare to him.

17E estes são os nomes daqueles que lhe nasceram, Uz, Buz, Kemuel, Kesed, Chazo, Pildash, Tidlaf e Betuel, sendo oito filhos, estes são os filhos de Milca que ela deu à luz a Nahor, irmão de Abraão.

17And these are the names of those that were born to him, Uz, Buz, Kemuel, Kesed, Chazo, Pildash, Tidlaf, and Bethuel, being eight sons, these are the children of Milca which she bare to Nahor, Abraham's brother.

18E Nahor tinha uma concubina e o nome dela era Reumah, e ela também deu à luz a Nahor, Zebach, Gachash, Tachash e Maacha, sendo quatro filhos.

18And Nahor had a concubine and her name was Reumah, and she also bare to Nahor, Zebach, Gachash, Tachash and Maacha, being four sons.

19E os filhos que nasceram a Naor foram doze filhos além de suas filhas, e eles também tiveram filhos que lhes nasceram em Harã.

19And the children that were born to Nahor were twelve sons besides his daughters, and they also had children born to them in Haran.

20E os filhos de Uz, o primogênito de Nahor, foram Abi, Cheref, Gadin, Melus e Débora, sua irmã.

20And the children of Uz the first born of Nahor were Abi, Cheref, Gadin, Melus, and Deborah their sister.

21E os filhos de Buz foram Berachel, Naamath, Sheva e Madonu.

21And the sons of Buz were Berachel, Naamath, Sheva, and Madonu.

22E os filhos de Quemuel foram Arã e Recob.

22And the sons of Kemuel were Aram and Rechob.

23E os filhos de Quesed foram Anamleque, Mesai, Benon e Yifi; e os filhos de Chazo foram Pildash, Mechi e Ofer.

23And the sons of Kesed were Anamlech, Meshai, Benon and Yifi; and the sons of Chazo were Pildash, Mechi and Opher.

24E os filhos de Pildash foram Arud, Chamum, Mered e Moloch.

24And the sons of Pildash were Arud, Chamum, Mered and Moloch.

25E os filhos de Tidlaf foram Mushan, Cushan e Mutzi.

25And the sons of Tidlaf were Mushan, Cushan and Mutzi.

26E os filhos de Betuel foram Secar, Labão e sua irmã Rebeca.

26And the children of Bethuel were Sechar, Laban and their sister Rebecca.

27Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Naor, que lhes nasceram em Harã; e Arão, filho de Quemuel, e Recob, seu irmão, partiram de Harã e encontraram um vale na terra junto ao rio Eufrates.

27These are the families of the children of Nahor, that were born to them in Haran; and Aram the son of Kemuel and Rechob his brother went away from Haran, and they found a valley in the land by the river Euphrates.

28E eles construíram uma cidade lá, e chamaram o nome da cidade pelo nome de Pethor, filho de Aram, que é Aram Naherayim até hoje.

28And they built a city there, and they called the name of the city after the name of Pethor the son of Aram, that is Aram Naherayim unto this day.

29E os filhos de Kesed também foram morar onde pudessem encontrar um lugar, e eles foram e encontraram um vale oposto à terra de Sinar, e eles habitaram lá.

29And the children of Kesed also went to dwell where they could find a place, and they went and they found a valley opposite to the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.

30E eles construíram para si uma cidade, e chamaram o nome da cidade Kesed após o nome de seu pai, que é a terra Kasdim até hoje, e os Kasdim habitaram naquela terra e eles foram frutíferos e multiplicaram-se excessivamente.

30And they there built themselves a city, and they called the name at the city Kesed after the name of their father, that is the land Kasdim unto this day, and the Kasdim dwelt in that land and they were fruitful and multiplied exceedingly.

31E Terah, pai de Nahor e Abraão, foi e tomou outra esposa em sua velhice, e o nome dela era Pelila, e ela concebeu e lhe deu um filho e ele chamou seu nome de Zoba.

31And Terah, father of Nahor and Abraham, went and took another wife in his old age, and her name was Pelilah, and she conceived and bare him a son and he called his name Zoba.

32E Terá viveu vinte e cinco anos depois que gerou Zoba.

32And Terah lived twenty-five years after he begat Zoba.

33E Terá morreu naquele ano, isto é, no trigésimo quinto ano do nascimento de Isaque, filho de Abraão.

33And Terah died in that year, that is in the thirty-fifth year of the birth of Isaac son of Abraham.

34E os dias de Terá foram duzentos e cinco anos, e ele foi sepultado em Harã.

34And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years, and he was buried in Haran.

35E Zoba, filho de Terah, viveu trinta anos e gerou Aram, Achlis e Merik.

35And Zoba the son of Terah lived thirty years and he begat Aram, Achlis and Merik.

36E Aram, filho de Zoba, filho de Terah, teve três esposas e gerou doze filhos e três filhas; e o Senhor deu a Arã, filho de Zoba, riquezas e possessões, e abundância de gado, e rebanhos e manadas, e o homem cresceu grandemente.

36And Aram son of Zoba son of Terah, had three wives and he begat twelve sons and three daughters; and the Lord gave to Aram the son of Zoba, riches and possessions, and abundance of cattle, and flocks and herds, and the man increased greatly.

37E Aram, filho de Zoba, e seu irmão e toda a sua casa viajaram de Harã, e foram morar onde deveriam encontrar um lugar, pois sua propriedade era grande demais para permanecer em Harã; pois não puderam parar em Harã junto com seus irmãos, os filhos de Naor.

37And Aram the son of Zoba and his brother and all his household journeyed from Haran, and they went to dwell where they should find a place, for their property was too great to remain in Haran; for they could not stop in Haran together with their brethren the children of Nahor.

38E Aram, filho de Zoba, foi com seus irmãos, e eles encontraram um vale à distância em direção ao país oriental e habitaram lá.

38And Aram the son of Zoba went with his brethren, and they found a valley at a distance toward the eastern country and they dwelt there.

39E eles também construíram ali uma cidade, e chamaram-na de Aram, segundo o nome de seu irmão mais velho; esse é Aram Zoba até hoje.

39And they also built a city there, and they called the name thereof Aram, after the name of their eldest brother; that is Aram Zoba to this day.

40E Isaque, filho de Abraão, estava crescendo naqueles dias, e Abraão, seu pai, ensinou-lhe o caminho do Senhor para conhecer o Senhor, e o Senhor estava com ele.

40And Isaac the son of Abraham was growing up in those days, and Abraham his father taught him the way of the Lord to know the Lord, and the Lord was with him.

41E quando Isaque tinha trinta e sete anos, Ismael, seu irmão, andava com ele na tenda.

41And when Isaac was thirty-seven years old, Ishmael his brother was going about with him in the tent.

42E Ismael se gabou de si mesmo para Isaque, dizendo: Eu tinha treze anos quando o Senhor falou a meu pai para nos circuncidar, e fiz de acordo com a palavra do Senhor que ele falou a meu pai, e entreguei minha alma ao Senhor, e não transgredi sua palavra que ele ordenou a meu pai.

42And Ishmael boasted of himself to Isaac, saying, I was thirteen years old when the Lord spoke to my father to circumcise us, and I did according to the word of the Lord which he spoke to my father, and I gave my soul unto the Lord, and I did not transgress his word which he commanded my father.

43E Isaque respondeu a Ismael, dizendo: Por que te vanglorias disto, de um pouquinho da tua carne que tiraste do teu corpo, a respeito do que o Senhor te ordenou?

43And Isaac answered Ishmael, saying, Why dost thou boast to me about this, about a little bit of thy flesh which thou didst take from thy body, concerning which the Lord commanded thee?

44Como vive o Senhor, o Deus de meu pai Abraão, se o Senhor dissesse a meu pai: Toma agora teu filho Isaque e traze-o uma oferta diante de mim, eu não me conteria, mas aderiria com alegria a isso.

44As the Lord liveth, the God of my father Abraham, if the Lord should say unto my father, Take now thy son Isaac and bring him up an offering before me, I would not refrain but I would joyfully accede to it.

45E o Senhor ouviu a palavra que Isaque falou a Ismael, e pareceu bom aos olhos do Senhor, e ele pensou em provar Abraão neste assunto.

45And the Lord heard the word that Isaac spoke to Ishmael, and it seemed good in the sight of the Lord, and he thought to try Abraham in this matter.

46E chegou o dia em que os filhos de Deus vieram e se colocaram diante do Senhor, e Satanás também veio com os filhos de Deus diante do Senhor.

46And the day arrived when the sons of God came and placed themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with the sons of God before the Lord.

47E o Senhor disse a Satanás: De onde vens? e Satanás respondeu ao Senhor e disse: De ir para lá e para cá na terra, e de andar para cima e para baixo nela.

47And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? and Satan answered the Lord and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

48E o Senhor disse a Satanás: Qual é a tua palavra para mim a respeito de todos os filhos da terra? e Satanás respondeu ao Senhor e disse: Tenho visto todos os filhos da terra que te servem e se lembram de ti quando exigem alguma coisa de ti.

48And the Lord said to Satan, What is thy word to me concerning all the children of the earth? and Satan answered the Lord and said, I have seen all the children of the earth who serve thee and remember thee when they require anything from thee.

49E quando você lhes dá o que eles exigem de você, eles ficam à vontade e te abandonam e não se lembram mais de você.

49And when thou givest them the thing which they require from thee, they sit at their ease, and forsake thee and they remember thee no more.

50Você viu Abraão, filho de Terah, que a princípio não teve filhos, e ele te serviu e ergueu altares para você onde quer que ele fosse, e ele trouxe oferendas sobre eles, e ele proclamou teu nome continuamente a todos os filhos da terra.

50Hast thou seen Abraham the son of Terah, who at first had no children, and he served thee and erected altars to thee wherever he came, and he brought up offerings upon them, and he proclaimed thy name continually to all the children of the earth.

51E agora que lhe nasceu seu filho Isaque, ele te abandonou, ele fez uma grande festa para todos os habitantes da terra, e o Senhor ele se esqueceu.

51And now that his son Isaac is born to him, he has forsaken thee, he has made a great feast for all the inhabitants of the land, and the Lord he has forgotten.

52Porque, apesar de tudo o que ele fez, não te trouxe nenhuma oferta; nem holocausto, nem oferta pacífica, nem boi, nem cordeiro, nem cabra, de tudo o que matou no dia em que seu filho foi desmamado.

52For amidst all that he has done he brought thee no offering; neither burnt offering nor peace offering, neither ox, lamb nor goat of all that he killed on the day that his son was weaned.

53Mesmo desde o nascimento de seu filho até agora, com trinta e sete anos, ele não construiu nenhum altar diante de ti, nem trouxe nenhuma oferta para ti, pois ele viu que tu deste o que ele pediu antes de ti, e ele, portanto, te abandonou.

53Even from the time of his son's birth till now, being thirty-seven years, he built no altar before thee, nor brought any offering to thee, for he saw that thou didst give what he requested before thee, and he therefore forsook thee.

54E o Senhor disse a Satanás: Consideraste assim meu servo Abraão? pois não há ninguém como ele na Terra, um homem perfeito e reto diante de mim, alguém que teme a Deus e evita o mal; vivo eu, se eu lhe dissesse: Faze subir Isaque, teu filho, diante de mim, ele não o negaria de mim, muito mais se eu lhe dissesse que trouxesse diante de mim um holocausto de seu rebanho ou gado.

54And the Lord said to Satan, Hast thou thus considered my servant Abraham? for there is none like him upon earth, a perfect and an upright man before me, one that feareth God and avoideth evil; as I live, were I to say unto him, Bring up Isaac thy son before me, he would not withhold him from me, much more if I told him to bring up a burnt offering before me from his flock or herds.

55E Satanás respondeu ao Senhor e disse: Fala agora a Abraão como disseste, e verás se ele não transgredirá hoje e rejeitará tuas palavras.

55And Satan answered the Lord and said, Speak then now unto Abraham as thou hast said, and thou wilt see whether he will not this day transgress and cast aside thy words.
