1E quando o rei ouviu as palavras de Abrão, ordenou que ele fosse preso; e Abrão ficou dez dias na prisão.

1And when the king heard the words of Abram he ordered him to be put into prison; and Abram was ten days in prison.

2E no final daqueles dias o rei ordenou que todos os reis, príncipes e governadores de diferentes províncias e os sábios viessem diante dele, e eles se sentaram diante dele, e Abrão ainda estava na casa de confinamento.

2And at the end of those days the king ordered that all the kings, princes and governors of different provinces and the sages should come before him, and they sat before him, and Abram was still in the house of confinement.

3E o rei disse aos príncipes e sábios: Vocês ouviram o que Abrão, filho de Terah, fez com seu pai? Assim ele fez com ele, e eu ordenei que ele fosse trazido diante de mim, e assim ele falou; seu coração não o desconfiou, nem ele se mexeu na minha presença, e eis que agora ele está confinado na prisão.

3And the king said to the princes and sages, Have you heard what Abram, the son of Terah, has done to his father? Thus has he done to him, and I ordered him to be brought before me, and thus has he spoken; his heart did not misgive him, neither did he stir in my presence, and behold now he is confined in the prison.

4E, portanto, decida qual julgamento será devido a este homem que injuriou o rei; que falou e fez todas as coisas que você ouviu.

4And therefore decide what judgment is due to this man who reviled the king; who spoke and did all the things that you heard.

5E todos responderam ao rei, dizendo: O homem que insultar o rei deverá ser enforcado num madeiro; mas tendo feito todas as coisas que ele disse, e tendo desprezado nossos deuses, ele deve, portanto, ser queimado até a morte, pois esta é a lei neste assunto.

5And they all answered the king saying, The man who revileth the king should be hanged upon a tree; but having done all the things that he said, and having despised our gods, he must therefore be burned to death, for this is the law in this matter.

6Se for do agrado do rei fazer isso, que ele ordene a seus servos que acendam o fogo noite e dia em tua fornalha de tijolos, e então lançaremos este homem nela. E assim fez o rei, e ordenou aos seus servos que preparassem fogo durante três dias e três noites na fornalha do rei, que está em Casdim; e o rei ordenou que tirassem Abrão da prisão e o levassem para ser queimado.

6If it pleaseth the king to do this, let him order his servants to kindle a fire both night and day in thy brick furnace, and then we will cast this man into it. And the king did so, and he commanded his servants that they should prepare a fire for three days and three nights in the king's furnace, that is in Casdim; and the king ordered them to take Abram from prison and bring him out to be burned.

7E todos os servos do rei, príncipes, senhores, governadores e juízes, e todos os habitantes da terra, cerca de novecentos mil homens, estavam em frente da fornalha para ver Abrão.

7And all the king's servants, princes, lords, governors, and judges, and all the inhabitants of the land, about nine hundred thousand men, stood opposite the furnace to see Abram.

8E todas as mulheres e crianças aglomeraram-se nos telhados e torres para ver o que estava acontecendo com Abrão, e todos ficaram juntos à distância; e não sobrou nenhum homem que não viesse naquele dia para contemplar a cena.

8And all the women and little ones crowded upon the roofs and towers to see what was doing with Abram, and they all stood together at a distance; and there was not a man left that did not come on that day to behold the scene.

9E quando Abrão chegou, os mágicos do rei e os sábios viram Abrão, e clamaram ao rei, dizendo: Nosso senhor soberano, certamente este é o homem que sabemos ter sido a criança em cujo nascimento a grande estrela engoliu as quatro estrelas, o que declaramos ao rei agora há cinquenta anos.

9And when Abram was come, the conjurors of the king and the sages saw Abram, and they cried out to the king, saying, Our sovereign lord, surely this is the man whom we know to have been the child at whose birth the great star swallowed the four stars, which we declared to the king now fifty years since.

10E eis que agora seu pai também transgrediu tuas ordens e zombou de ti, trazendo-te outro filho, que tu mataste.

10And behold now his father has also transgressed thy commands, and mocked thee by bringing thee another child, which thou didst kill.

11E quando o rei ouviu suas palavras, ficou extremamente irado e ordenou que Terah fosse trazido diante dele.

11And when the king heard their words, he was exceedingly wroth, and he ordered Terah to be brought before him.

12E o rei disse: Ouviste o que os mágicos falaram? Agora diga-me verdadeiramente, como você fez; e se falares a verdade, serás absolvido.

12And the king said, Hast thou heard what the conjurors have spoken? Now tell me truly, how didst thou; and if thou shalt speak truth thou shalt be acquitted.

13E vendo que a ira do rei estava tão acesa, Terah disse ao rei, Meu senhor e rei, tu ouviste a verdade, e o que os sábios falaram é certo. E o rei disse: Como pudeste fazer isso, transgredir minhas ordens e me dar um filho que não geraste, e cobrar valor por ele?

13And seeing that the king's anger was so much kindled, Terah said to the king, My lord and king, thou hast heard the truth, and what the sages have spoken is right. And the king said, How couldst thou do this thing, to transgress my orders and to give me a child that thou didst not beget, and to take value for him?

14E Terah respondeu ao rei: Porque meus ternos sentimentos estavam despertados por meu filho, naquela época, e eu peguei um filho de minha serva e o trouxe ao rei.

14And Terah answered the king, Because my tender feelings were excited for my son, at that time, and I took a son of my handmaid, and I brought him to the king.

15E o rei disse: Quem te aconselhou sobre isso? Diga-me, não esconda nada de mim, e então você não morrerá.

15And the king said Who advised thee to this? Tell me, do not hide aught from me, and then thou shalt not die.

16E Terah ficou muito aterrorizado na presença do rei, e disse ao rei: Foi Haran, meu filho mais velho, quem me aconselhou sobre isso; e Harã tinha trinta e dois anos naqueles dias em que Abrão nasceu.

16And Terah was greatly terrified in the king's presence, and he said to the king, It was Haran my eldest son who advised me to this; and Haran was in those days that Abram was born, two and thirty years old.

17Mas Harã não aconselhou nada a seu pai, pois Terá disse isso ao rei para libertar sua alma do rei, pois ele temia muito; e o rei disse a Terá: Harã, teu filho, que te aconselhou sobre isso, morrerá no fogo com Abrão; pois a sentença de morte recai sobre ele por ter se rebelado contra o desejo do rei de fazer isso.

17But Haran did not advise his father to anything, for Terah said this to the king in order to deliver his soul from the king, for he feared greatly; and the king said to Terah, Haran thy son who advised thee to this shall die through fire with Abram; for the sentence of death is upon him for having rebelled against the king's desire in doing this thing.

18E Harã naquela época sentiu-se inclinado a seguir os caminhos de Abrão, mas manteve isso dentro de si.

18And Haran at that time felt inclined to follow the ways of Abram, but he kept it within himself.

19E Haran disse em seu coração: Eis que agora o rei prendeu Abrão por causa destas coisas que Abrão fez, e acontecerá que se Abrão prevalecer sobre o rei eu o seguirei, mas se o rei prevalecer eu irei após o rei.

19And Haran said in his heart, Behold now the king has seized Abram on account of these things which Abram did, and it shall come to pass, that if Abram prevail over the king I will follow him, but if the king prevail I will go after the king.

20E quando Terah falou isso ao rei a respeito de Haran, seu filho, o rei ordenou que Haran fosse capturado com Abrão.

20And when Terah had spoken this to the king concerning Haran his son, the king ordered Haran to be seized with Abram.

21E trouxeram ambos, Abrão e Harã, seu irmão, para lançá-los no fogo; e todos os habitantes da terra, e os servos do rei, e os príncipes, e todas as mulheres e crianças estavam ali, de pé sobre eles naquele dia.

21And they brought them both, Abram and Haran his brother, to cast them into the fire; and all the inhabitants of the land and the king's servants and princes and all the women and little ones were there, standing that day over them.

22E os servos do rei levaram Abrão e seu irmão, e os despiram de todas as suas roupas, exceto as roupas íntimas que estavam sobre eles.

22And the king's servants took Abram and his brother, and they stripped them of all their clothes excepting their lower garments which were upon them.

23E amarraram-lhes as mãos e os pés com cordas de linho, e os servos do rei os levantaram e lançaram ambos na fornalha.

23And they bound their hands and feet with linen cords, and the servants of the king lifted them up and cast them both into the furnace.

24E o Senhor amou Abrão e teve compaixão dele, e o Senhor desceu e livrou Abrão do fogo e ele não foi queimado.

24And the Lord loved Abram and he had compassion over him, and the Lord came down and delivered Abram from the fire and he was not burned.

25Mas todas as cordas com que o amarraram foram queimadas, enquanto Abrão permaneceu e andou no fogo.

25But all the cords with which they bound him were burned, while Abram remained and walked about in the fire.

26E Harã morreu quando o lançaram no fogo, e ele foi reduzido a cinzas, pois seu coração não era perfeito para com o Senhor; e aqueles homens que o lançaram no fogo, a chama do fogo se espalhou sobre eles, e eles foram queimados, e doze homens deles morreram.

26And Haran died when they had cast him into the fire, and he was burned to ashes, for his heart was not perfect with the Lord; and those men who cast him into the fire, the flame of the fire spread over them, and they were burned, and twelve men of them died.

27E Abrão andou no meio do fogo três dias e três noites, e todos os servos do rei o viram andando no fogo, e eles vieram e disseram ao rei, dizendo: Eis que vimos Abrão andando no meio do fogo, e até as vestes inferiores que estão sobre ele não estão queimadas, mas a corda com a qual ele estava amarrado está queimada.

27And Abram walked in the midst of the fire three days and three nights, and all the servants of the king saw him walking in the fire, and they came and told the king, saying, Behold we have seen Abram walking about in the midst of the fire, and even the lower garments which are upon him are not burned, but the cord with which he was bound is burned.

28E quando o rei ouviu as palavras deles, seu coração desmaiou e ele não quis acreditar nelas; então ele enviou outros príncipes fiéis para ver este assunto, e eles foram e viram e contaram ao rei; e o rei levantou-se para ir vê-lo, e viu Abrão andando de um lado para outro no meio do fogo, e viu o corpo de Harã queimado, e o rei ficou muito maravilhado.

28And when the king heard their words his heart fainted and he would not believe them; so he sent other faithful princes to see this matter, and they went and saw it and told it to the king; and the king rose to go and see it, and he saw Abram walking to and fro in the midst of the fire, and he saw Haran's body burned, and the king wondered greatly.

29E o rei ordenou que Abrão fosse tirado do fogo; e seus servos se aproximaram para tirá-lo e não puderam, porque o fogo estava ao redor e a chama subia da fornalha em direção a eles.

29And the king ordered Abram to be taken out from the fire; and his servants approached to take him out and they could not, for the fire was round about and the flame ascending toward them from the furnace.

30E os servos do rei fugiram dela, e o rei os repreendeu, dizendo: Apressem-se e tirem Abrão do fogo, para que não morram.

30And the king's servants fled from it, and the king rebuked them, saying, Make haste and bring Abram out of the fire that you shall not die.

31E os servos do rei se aproximaram novamente para tirar Abrão, e as chamas caíram sobre eles e queimaram seus rostos, de modo que oito deles morreram.

31And the servants of the king again approached to bring Abram out, and the flames came upon them and burned their faces so that eight of them died.

32E quando o rei viu que seus servos não podiam se aproximar do fogo para não serem queimados, o rei chamou Abrão, ó servo do Deus que está no céu, saia do meio do fogo e venha aqui diante de mim; e Abrão deu ouvidos à voz do rei, e saiu do fogo e veio e ficou diante do rei.

32And when the king saw that his servants could not approach the fire lest they should be burned, the king called to Abram, O servant of the God who is in heaven, go forth from amidst the fire and come hither before me; and Abram hearkened to the voice of the king, and he went forth from the fire and came and stood before the king.

33E quando Abrão saiu, o rei e todos os seus servos viram Abrão vindo diante do rei, com suas vestes sobre ele, pois não foram queimadas, mas a corda com a qual ele estava amarrado foi queimada.

33And when Abram came out the king and all his servants saw Abram coming before the king, with his lower garments upon him, for they were not burned, but the cord with which he was bound was burned.

34E o rei disse a Abrão: Como é que não foste queimado no fogo?

34And the king said to Abram, How is it that thou wast not burned in the fire?

35E Abrão disse ao rei: O Deus do céu e da terra em quem confio e que tem tudo em seu poder, ele me livrou do fogo no qual você me lançou.

35And Abram said to the king, The God of heaven and earth in whom I trust and who has all in his power, he delivered me from the fire into which thou didst cast me.

36E Harã, irmão de Abrão, foi reduzido a cinzas, e procuraram seu corpo, e o encontraram consumido.

36And Haran the brother of Abram was burned to ashes, and they sought for his body, and they found it consumed.

37E Harã tinha oitenta e dois anos quando morreu no incêndio de Casdim. E o rei, os príncipes e os habitantes da terra, vendo que Abrão foi libertado do fogo, vieram e curvaram-se diante de Abrão.

37And Haran was eighty-two years old when he died in the fire of Casdim. And the king, princes, and inhabitants of the land, seeing that Abram was delivered from the fire, they came and bowed down to Abram.

38E Abrão disse-lhes: Não se curvem diante de mim, mas se curvem ao Deus do mundo que os criou, e sirvam-no, e sigam seus caminhos, pois foi ele quem me livrou deste fogo, e foi ele quem criou as almas e os espíritos de todos os homens, e formou o homem no ventre de sua mãe, e o trouxe ao mundo, e é ele quem libertará aqueles que confiam nele de toda dor.

38And Abram said to them, Do not bow down to me, but bow down to the God of the world who made you, and serve him, and go in his ways for it is he who delivered me from out of this fire, and it is he who created the souls and spirits of all men, and formed man in his mother's womb, and brought him forth into the world, and it is he who will deliver those who trust in him from all pain.

39E isto pareceu muito maravilhoso aos olhos do rei e dos príncipes, que Abrão foi salvo do fogo e que Harã foi queimado; e o rei deu muitos presentes a Abrão e ele lhe deu seus dois servos principais da casa do rei; o nome de um era Oni e o nome do outro era Eliezer.

39And this thing seemed very wonderful in the eyes of the king and princes, that Abram was saved from the fire and that Haran was burned; and the king gave Abram many presents and he gave him his two head servants from the king's house; the name of one was Oni and the name of the other was Eliezer.

40E todos os reis, príncipes e servos deram a Abrão muitos presentes de prata, ouro e pérolas, e o rei e seus príncipes o despediram, e ele foi em paz.

40And all the kings, princes and servants gave Abram many gifts of silver and gold and pearl, and the king and his princes sent him away, and he went in peace.

41E Abrão saiu do rei em paz, e muitos dos servos do rei o seguiram, e cerca de trezentos homens se juntaram a ele.

41And Abram went forth from the king in peace, and many of the king's servants followed him, and about three hundred men joined him.

42E Abrão voltou naquele dia e foi para a casa de seu pai, ele e os homens que o seguiram, e Abrão serviu ao Senhor seu Deus todos os dias de sua vida, e ele andou em seus caminhos e seguiu sua lei.

42And Abram returned on that day and went to his father's house, he and the men that followed him, and Abram served the Lord his God all the days of his life, and he walked in his ways and followed his law.

43E daquele dia em diante Abrão inclinou o coração dos filhos dos homens para servir ao Senhor.

43And from that day forward Abram inclined the hearts of the sons of men to serve the Lord.

44E naquela época Nahor e Abrão tomaram para si esposas, as filhas de seu irmão Haran; a esposa de Naor era Milca e o nome da esposa de Abrão era Sarai. E Sarai, mulher de Abrão, era estéril; ela não tinha descendentes naquela época.

44And at that time Nahor and Abram took unto themselves wives, the daughters of their brother Haran; the wife of Nahor was Milca and the name of Abram's wife was Sarai. And Sarai, wife of Abram, was barren; she had no offspring in those days.

45E no final de dois anos desde a saída de Abrão do fogo, isto é, no quinquagésimo segundo ano de sua vida, eis que o rei Nimrod sentou-se em Babel no trono, e o rei adormeceu e sonhou que estava com suas tropas e exércitos em um vale oposto à fornalha do rei.

45And at the expiration of two years from Abram's going out of the fire, that is in the fifty-second year of his life, behold king Nimrod sat in Babel upon the throne, and the king fell asleep and dreamed that he was standing with his troops and hosts in a valley opposite the king's furnace.

46E ele levantou os olhos e viu um homem parecido com Abrão saindo da fornalha, e que ele veio e ficou diante do rei com sua espada desembainhada, e então saltou para o rei com sua espada, quando o rei fugiu do homem, pois ele estava com medo; e enquanto ele corria, o homem jogou um ovo na cabeça do rei, e o ovo se tornou um grande rio.

46And he lifted up his eyes and saw a man in the likeness of Abram coming forth from the furnace, and that he came and stood before the king with his drawn sword, and then sprang to the king with his sword, when the king fled from the man, for he was afraid; and while he was running, the man threw an egg upon the king's head, and the egg became a great river.

47E o rei sonhou que todas as suas tropas afundaram naquele rio e morreram, e o rei fugiu com três homens que estavam diante dele e ele escapou.

47And the king dreamed that all his troops sank in that river and died, and the king took flight with three men who were before him and he escaped.

48E o rei olhou para estes homens e eles estavam vestidos com trajes principescos como as vestimentas de reis, e tinham a aparência e majestade de reis.

48And the king looked at these men and they were clothed in princely dresses as the garments of kings, and had the appearance and majesty of kings.

49E enquanto eles corriam, o rio novamente se transformou em um ovo diante do rei, e saiu do ovo um pássaro jovem que veio diante do rei, e voou em sua cabeça e arrancou o olho do rei.

49And while they were running, the river again turned to an egg before the king, and there came forth from the egg a young bird which came before the king, and flew at his head and plucked out the king's eye.

50E o rei ficou triste com a visão, e ele acordou de seu sono e seu espírito ficou agitado; e ele sentiu um grande terror.

50And the king was grieved at the sight, and he awoke out of his sleep and his spirit was agitated; and he felt a great terror.

51E pela manhã o rei levantou-se do seu leito com medo, e ordenou que todos os sábios e mágicos viessem diante dele, quando o rei lhes contou seu sonho.

51And in the morning the king rose from his couch in fear, and he ordered all the wise men and magicians to come before him, when the king related his dream to them.

52E um servo sábio do rei, cujo nome era Anuki, respondeu ao rei, dizendo: Isto nada mais é do que o mal de Abrão e sua semente que surgirá contra meu Senhor e rei nos últimos dias.

52And a wise servant of the king, whose name was Anuki, answered the king, saying, This is nothing else but the evil of Abram and his seed which will spring up against my Lord and king in the latter days.

53E eis que chegará o dia em que Abrão e sua semente e os filhos de sua casa guerrearão contra meu rei e ferirão todos os exércitos do rei e suas tropas.

53And behold the day will come when Abram and his seed and the children of his household will war with my king, and they will smite all the king's hosts and his troops.

54E quanto ao que você disse a respeito de três homens que você viu como você mesmo e que escaparam, isso significa que somente você escapará com três reis dos reis da terra que estarão com você na batalha.

54And as to what thou hast said concerning three men which thou didst see like unto thyself, and which did escape, this means that only thou wilt escape with three kings from the kings of the earth who will be with thee in battle.

55E aquilo que você viu do rio que se transformou em um ovo como no início, e o passarinho arrancando seu olho, isso não significa nada mais do que a semente de Abrão que matará o rei nos últimos dias.

55And that which thou sawest of the river which turned to an egg as at first, and the young bird plucking out thine eye, this means nothing else but the seed of Abram which will slay the king in latter days.

56Este é o sonho do meu rei, e esta é a sua interpretação, e o sonho é verdadeiro, e a interpretação que o teu servo te deu é correta.

56This is my king's dream, and this is its interpretation, and the dream is true, and the interpretation which thy servant has given thee is right.

57Agora, portanto, meu rei, certamente você sabe que já se passaram cinquenta e dois anos desde que seus sábios viram isso no nascimento de Abrão, e se meu rei permitir que Abrão viva na terra, será para prejuízo de meu senhor e rei, pois todos os dias que Abrão viver, nem você nem seu reino serão estabelecidos, pois isso foi conhecido anteriormente em seu nascimento; e por que meu rei não o matará, para que seu mal seja guardado de ti nos últimos dias?

57Now therefore my king, surely thou knowest that it is now fifty-two years since thy sages saw this at the birth of Abram, and if my king will suffer Abram to live in the earth it will be to the injury of my lord and king, for all the days that Abram liveth neither thou nor thy kingdom will be established, for this was known formerly at his birth; and why will not my king slay him, that his evil may be kept from thee in latter days?

58E Nimrod deu ouvidos à voz de Anuki, e ele enviou alguns de seus servos em segredo para ir e capturar Abrão, e trazê-lo diante do rei para sofrer a morte.

58And Nimrod hearkened to the voice of Anuki, and he sent some of his servants in secret to go and seize Abram, and bring him before the king to suffer death.

59E Eliezer, o servo de Abrão que o rei lhe havia dado, estava naquele momento na presença do rei, e ele ouviu o que Anuki havia aconselhado o rei, e o que o rei havia dito para causar a morte de Abrão.

59And Eliezer, Abram's servant whom the king had given him, was at that time in the presence of the king, and he heard what Anuki had advised the king, and what the king had said to cause Abram's death.

60E Eliezer disse a Abrão, Apresse-se, levante-se e salve a sua alma, para que você não morra pelas mãos do rei, pois assim ele viu em um sonho a seu respeito, e assim Anuki o interpretou, e assim também Anuki aconselhou o rei a seu respeito.

60And Eliezer said to Abram, Hasten, rise up and save thy soul, that thou mayest not die through the hands of the king, for thus did he see in a dream concerning thee, and thus did Anuki interpret it, and thus also did Anuki advise the king concerning thee.

61E Abrão deu ouvidos à voz de Eliezer, e Abrão apressou-se e correu em busca de segurança para a casa de Noé e seu filho Sem, e ele se escondeu lá e encontrou um lugar seguro; e os servos do rei foram à casa de Abrão para procurá-lo, mas não conseguiram encontrá-lo, e procuraram por todo o país e ele não foi encontrado, e foram e procuraram em todas as direções e ele não foi encontrado.

61And Abram hearkened to the voice of Eliezer, and Abram hastened and ran for safety to the house of Noah and his son Shem, and he concealed himself there and found a place of safety; and the king's servants came to Abram's house to seek him, but they could not find him, and they searched through out the country and he was not to be found, and they went and searched in every direction and he was not to be met with.

62E quando os servos do rei não conseguiram encontrar Abrão, eles retornaram ao rei, mas a ira do rei contra Abrão foi acalmada, pois eles não o encontraram, e o rei afastou de sua mente este assunto a respeito de Abrão.

62And when the king's servants could not find Abram they returned to the king, but the king's anger against Abram was stilled, as they did not find him, and the king drove from his mind this matter concerning Abram.

63E Abrão ficou escondido na casa de Noé por um mês, até que o rei se esqueceu deste assunto, mas Abrão ainda estava com medo do rei; e Terah veio ver Abrão, seu filho, secretamente na casa de Noé, e Terah era muito grande aos olhos do rei.

63And Abram was concealed in Noah's house for one month, until the king had forgotten this matter, but Abram was still afraid of the king; and Terah came to see Abram his son secretly in the house of Noah, and Terah was very great in the eyes of the king.

64E Abrão disse a seu pai: Você não sabe que o rei pensa em me matar e em aniquilar meu nome da terra pelo conselho de seus maus conselheiros?

64And Abram said to his father, Dost thou not know that the king thinketh to slay me, and to annihilate my name from the earth by the advice of his wicked counsellors?

65Agora, quem você tem aqui e o que você tem nesta terra? Levanta-te, vamos juntos à terra de Canaã, para que sejamos libertos das suas mãos, para que não pereças também por ele nos últimos dias.

65Now whom hast thou here and what hast thou in this land? Arise, let us go together to the land of Canaan, that we may be delivered from his hand, lest thou perish also through him in the latter days.

66Você não sabe ou não ouviu que não é através do amor que Nimrod lhe dá toda essa honra, mas é apenas para seu benefício que ele concede todo esse bem a você?

66Dost thou not know or hast thou not heard, that it is not through love that Nimrod giveth thee all this honor, but it is only for his benefit that he bestoweth all this good upon thee?

67E se ele te fizer um bem maior do que este, certamente estas são apenas vaidades do mundo, pois a riqueza e as riquezas não podem servir no dia da ira e da ira.

67And if he do unto thee greater good than this, surely these are only vanities of the world, for wealth and riches cannot avail in the day of wrath and anger.

68Agora, portanto, ouça a minha voz e vamos nos levantar e ir para a terra de Canaã, fora do alcance do dano de Nimrod; e sirva ao Senhor que te criou na terra e tudo irá bem para você; e lança fora todas as coisas vãs que buscas.

68Now therefore hearken to my voice, and let us arise and go to the land of Canaan, out of the reach of injury from Nimrod; and serve thou the Lord who created thee in the earth and it will be well with thee; and cast away all the vain things which thou pursuest.

69E Abrão cessou de falar, quando Noé e seu filho Sem responderam a Terá, dizendo: Verdadeira é a palavra que Abrão te disse.

69And Abram ceased to speak, when Noah and his son Shem answered Terah, saying, True is the word which Abram hath said unto thee.

70E Terah deu ouvidos à voz de seu filho Abrão, e Terah fez tudo o que Abrão disse, pois isso vinha do Senhor, que o rei não deveria causar a morte de Abrão.

70And Terah hearkened to the voice of his son Abram, and Terah did all that Abram said, for this was from the Lord, that the king should not cause Abram's death.
