1E Pelegue, filho de Éber, morreu naqueles dias, no quadragésimo oitavo ano da vida de Abrão, filho de Terá, e todos os dias de Pelegue foram duzentos e trinta e nove anos.

1And Peleg the son of Eber died in those days, in the forty-eighth year of the life of Abram son of Terah, and all the days of Peleg were two hundred and thirty-nine years.

2E quando o Senhor dispersou os filhos dos homens por causa de seus pecados na torre, eis que eles se espalharam em muitas divisões e todos os filhos dos homens foram dispersos pelos quatro cantos da terra.

2And when the Lord had scattered the sons of men on account of their sin at the tower, behold they spread forth into many divisions, and all the sons of men were dispersed into the four corners of the earth.

3E todas as famílias tornaram-se cada uma de acordo com a sua língua, a sua terra ou a sua cidade.

3And all the families became each according to its language, its land, or its city.

4E os filhos dos homens construíram muitas cidades segundo as suas famílias, em todos os lugares por onde foram e por toda a terra onde o Senhor os havia espalhado.

4And the sons of men built many cities according to their families, in all the places where they went, and throughout the earth where the Lord had scattered them.

5E alguns deles construíram cidades em lugares dos quais foram posteriormente extirpados, e chamaram essas cidades pelos seus próprios nomes, ou pelos nomes de seus filhos, ou por suas ocorrências particulares.

5And some of them built cities in places from which they were afterward extirpated, and they called these cities after their own names, or the names of their children, or after their particular occurrences.

6E os filhos de Jafé, filho de Noé, foram e construíram para si cidades nos lugares onde foram espalhados, e chamaram todas as suas cidades pelos seus nomes, e os filhos de Jafé foram divididos sobre a face da terra em muitas divisões e línguas.

6And the sons of Japheth the son of Noah went and built themselves cities in the places where they were scattered, and they called all their cities after their names, and the sons of Japheth were divided upon the face of the earth into many divisions and languages.

7E estes são os filhos de Jafé segundo as suas famílias, Gômer, Magogue, Medai, Javã, Tubal, Meseque e Tiras; estes são os filhos de Jafé segundo as suas gerações.

7And these are the sons of Japheth according to their families, Gomer, Magog, Medai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras; these are the children of Japheth according to their generations.

8E os filhos de Gomer, segundo as suas cidades, foram os Francum, que habitam na terra de Franza, junto ao rio Franza, junto ao rio Senah.

8And the children of Gomer, according to their cities, were the Francum, who dwell in the land of Franza, by the river Franza, by the river Senah.

9E os filhos de Rephath são os Bartonim, que habitam na terra de Bartonia junto ao rio Ledah, que deságua no grande mar Gihon, isto é, oceanus.

9And the children of Rephath are the Bartonim, who dwell in the land of Bartonia by the river Ledah, which empties its waters in the great sea Gihon, that is, oceanus.

10E os filhos de Tugarma são dez famílias, e estes são os seus nomes: Buzar, Parzunac, Balgar, Elicanum, Ragbib, Tarki, Bid, Zebuc, Ongal e Tilmaz; todos estes se espalharam e descansaram no norte e construíram cidades para si.

10And the children of Tugarma are ten families, and these are their names: Buzar, Parzunac, Balgar, Elicanum, Ragbib, Tarki, Bid, Zebuc, Ongal and Tilmaz; all these spread and rested in the north and built themselves cities.

11E eles chamaram suas cidades com seus próprios nomes; aqueles são aqueles que habitam os rios Hithlah e Italac até hoje.

11And they called their cities after their own names, those are they who abide by the rivers Hithlah and Italac unto this day.

13E os filhos de Javan são os Javanim que habitam na terra de Makdonia, e os filhos de Medaiare são os Orelum que habitam na terra de Curson, e os filhos de Tubal são aqueles que habitam na terra de Tuskanah junto ao rio Pashiah.

13And the children of Javan are the Javanim who dwell in the land of Makdonia, and the children of Medaiare are the Orelum that dwell in the land of Curson, and the children of Tubal are those that dwell in the land of Tuskanah by the river Pashiah.

14E os filhos de Meseque são os Shibashni e os filhos de Tiras são Rushash, Cushni e Ongolis; todos estes foram e construíram cidades para si; essas são as cidades que estão situadas à beira do mar Jabus junto ao rio Cura, que deságua no rio Tragan.

14And the children of Meshech are the Shibashni and the children of Tiras are Rushash, Cushni, and Ongolis; all these went and built themselves cities; those are the cities that are situate by the sea Jabus by the river Cura, which empties itself in the river Tragan.

15E os filhos de Elisá são os Almanim, e eles também foram e construíram cidades para si; essas são as cidades situadas entre as montanhas de Jó e Shibathmo; e deles estava o povo de Lombardi que morava em frente às montanhas de Jó e Shibathmo, e eles conquistaram a terra da Itália e permaneceram lá até hoje.

15And the children of Elishah are the Almanim, and they also went and built themselves cities; those are the cities situate between the mountains of Job and Shibathmo; and of them were the people of Lumbardi who dwell opposite the mountains of Job and Shibathmo, and they conquered the land of Italia and remained there unto this day.

16E os filhos de Chittim são os Romim que habitam no vale de Canopia junto ao rio Tibreu.

16And the children of Chittim are the Romim who dwell in the valley of Canopia by the river Tibreu.

17E os filhos de Dudonim são aqueles que habitam nas cidades do mar Giom, na terra de Bordna.

17And the children of Dudonim are those who dwell in the cities of the sea Gihon, in the land of Bordna.

18Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Jafé de acordo com suas cidades e idiomas, quando foram espalhados após a torre e chamaram suas cidades segundo seus nomes e ocorrências; e estes são os nomes de todas as suas cidades, segundo as suas famílias, que naqueles dias construíram depois da torre.

18These are the families of the children of Japheth according to their cities and languages, when they were scattered after the tower, and they called their cities after their names and occurrences; and these are the names of all their cities according to their families, which they built in those days after the tower.

19E os filhos de Ham foram Cush, Mitzraim, Phut e Canaan de acordo com suas gerações e cidades.

19And the children of Ham were Cush, Mitzraim, Phut and Canaan according to their generation and cities.

20Todos estes foram e construíram cidades para si conforme encontraram lugares adequados para eles, e eles chamaram suas cidades pelos nomes de seus pais Cush, Mitzraim, Phut e Canaan.

20All these went and built themselves cities as they found fit places for them, and they called their cities after the names of their fathers Cush, Mitzraim, Phut and Canaan.

21E os filhos de Mitzraim são os Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naftuchim, Pathrusim, Casluchim e Caphturim, sete famílias.

21And the children of Mitzraim are the Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuchim, Pathrusim, Casluchim and Caphturim, seven families.

22Todos estes habitam junto ao rio Sihor, que é o riacho do Egito, e construíram cidades para si e as chamaram com seus próprios nomes.

22All these dwell by the river Sihor, that is the brook of Egypt, and they built themselves cities and called them after their own names.

23E os filhos de Pathros e Casloch se casaram entre si, e deles saíram os Pelishtim, os Azathim, e os Gerarim, os Githim e os Ekronim, em todas as cinco famílias; estes também construíram cidades para si e chamaram suas cidades pelos nomes de seus pais até o dia de hoje.

23And the children of Pathros and Casloch intermarried together, and from them went forth the Pelishtim, the Azathim, and the Gerarim, the Githim and the Ekronim, in all five families; these also built themselves cities, and they called their cities after the names of their fathers unto this day.

24E os filhos de Canaã também construíram cidades para si, e chamaram suas cidades pelos seus nomes, onze cidades e outras sem número.

24And the children of Canaan also built themselves cities, and they called their cities after their names, eleven cities and others without number.

25E quatro homens da família de Cam foram para a terra da planície; estes são os nomes dos quatro homens: Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá e Zeboim.

25And four men from the family of Ham went to the land of the plain; these are the names of the four men, Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim.

26E estes homens construíram para si quatro cidades na terra da planície, e chamaram os nomes das suas cidades segundo os seus próprios nomes.

26And these men built themselves four cities in the land of the plain, and they called the names of their cities after their own names.

27E eles e seus filhos e todos os que lhes pertenciam habitaram naquelas cidades, e foram frutíferos e multiplicaram-se grandemente e viveram pacificamente.

27And they and their children and all belonging to them dwelt in those cities, and they were fruitful and multiplied greatly and dwelt peaceably.

28E Seir, filho de Hur, filho de Hivi, filho de Canaã, foi e encontrou um vale em frente ao Monte Paran, e ele construiu uma cidade lá, e ele e seus sete filhos e sua casa habitaram lá, e ele chamou a cidade que ele construiu de Seir, de acordo com seu nome; essa é a terra de Seir até hoje.

28And Seir the son of Hur, son of Hivi, son of Canaan, went and found a valley opposite to Mount Paran, and he built a city there, and he and his seven sons and his household dwelt there, and he called the city which he built Seir, according to his name; that is the land of Seir unto this day.

30E alguns dos filhos de Sem, filho de Noé, pai de todos os filhos de Éber, também foram e construíram cidades nos lugares onde foram espalhados, e chamaram suas cidades pelos seus nomes.

30And some of the children of Shem son of Noah, father of all the children of Eber, also went and built themselves cities in the places wherein they were scattered, and they called their cities after their names.

31E os filhos de Sem foram Elam, Ashur, Arpachshad, Lud e Aram, e eles construíram cidades e chamaram os nomes de todas as suas cidades pelos seus nomes.

31And the sons of Shem were Elam, Ashur, Arpachshad, Lud and Aram, and they built themselves cities and called the names of all their cities after their names.

32E Ashur, filho de Sem, e seus filhos e família saíram naquele momento, um grupo muito grande deles, e foram para uma terra distante que encontraram, e encontraram um vale muito extenso na terra para onde foram, e construíram para si quatro cidades, e as chamaram de acordo com seus próprios nomes e ocorrências.

32And Ashur son of Shem and his children and household went forth at that time, a very large body of them, and they went to a distant land that they found, and they met with a very extensive valley in the land that they went to, and they built themselves four cities, and they called them after their own names and occurrences.

33E estes são os nomes das cidades que os filhos de Ashur construíram, Nínive, Resen, Calach e Reobother; e os filhos de Ashur habitam ali até hoje.

33And these are the names of the cities which the children of Ashur built, Ninevah, Resen, Calach and Rehobother; and the children of Ashur dwell there unto this day.

34E os filhos de Aram também foram e construíram para si uma cidade, e chamaram o nome da cidade de Uz, em homenagem a seu irmão mais velho, e habitaram nela; essa é a terra de Uz até hoje.

34And the children of Aram also went and built themselves a city, and they called the name of the city Uz after their eldest brother, and they dwell therein; that is the land of Uz to this day.

35E no segundo ano depois da torre, um homem da casa de Ashur, cujo nome era Bela, saiu da terra de Nínive para peregrinar com sua família onde quer que pudesse encontrar um lugar; e chegaram até defronte das cidades da planície, contra Sodoma, e habitaram ali.

35And in the second year after the tower a man from the house of Ashur, whose name was Bela, went from the land of Ninevah to sojourn with his household wherever he could find a place; and they came until opposite the cities of the plain against Sodom, and they dwelt there.

36E levantou-se o homem e edificou ali uma pequena cidade, e chamou-lhe o nome de Bela, segundo o seu nome; essa é a terra de Zoar até hoje.

36And the man rose up and built there a small city, and called its name Bela, after his name; that is the land of Zoar unto this day.

37E estas são as famílias dos filhos de Sem de acordo com sua língua e cidades, depois que foram espalhados pela terra depois da torre.

37And these are the families of the children of Shem according to their language and cities, after they were scattered upon the earth after the tower.

38E cada reino, cidade e família das famílias dos filhos de Noé construíram para si muitas cidades depois disso.

38And every kingdom, city, and family of the families of the children of Noah built themselves many cities after this.

39E estabeleceram governos em todas as suas cidades, para serem regulados pelas suas ordens; assim fizeram todas as famílias dos filhos de Noé para sempre.

39And they established governments in all their cities, in order to be regulated by their orders; so did all the families of the children of Noah forever.
