Levítico 16

1E falou o SENHOR a Moisés, depois da morte dos dois filhos de Arão, que morreram quando se chegaram diante do SENHOR.

1And the LORD spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the LORD, and died;

2Disse, pois, o Senhor a Moisés: Dize a Arão, teu irmão, que não entre no santuário em todo o tempo, para dentro do véu, diante do propiciatório que está sobre a arca, para que não morra; porque eu aparecerei na nuvem sobre o propiciatório.

2And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy {place} within the vail before the mercy seat, which {is} upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

3Com isto Arão entrará no santuário: com um novilho, para expiação do pecado, e um carneiro para holocausto.

3Thus shall Aaron come into the holy {place}: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

4Vestirá ele a túnica santa de linho, e terá ceroulas de linho sobre a sua carne, e cingir-se-á com um cinto de linho, e se cobrirá com uma mitra de linho; estas são vestes santas; por isso banhará a sua carne na água, e as vestirá.

4He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these {are} holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and {so} put them on.

5E da congregação dos filhos de Israel tomará dois bodes para expiação do pecado e um carneiro para holocausto.

5And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

6Depois Arão oferecerá o novilho da expiação, que será para ele; e fará expiação por si e pela sua casa.

6And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which {is} for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.

7Também tomará ambos os bodes, e os porá perante o Senhor, à porta da tenda da congregação.

7And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD {at} the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

8E Arão lançará sortes sobre os dois bodes; uma pelo Senhor, e a outra pelo bode emissário.

8And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. {scapegoat: Heb. Azazel}

9Então Arão fará chegar o bode, sobre o qual cair a sorte pelo Senhor, e o oferecerá para expiação do pecado.

9And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him {for} a sin offering. {fell: Heb. went up}

10Mas o bode, sobre que cair a sorte para ser bode emissário, apresentar-se-á vivo perante o Senhor, para fazer expiação com ele, a fim de enviá-lo ao deserto como bode emissário.

10But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, {and} to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

11E Arão fará chegar o novilho da expiação, que será por ele, e fará expiação por si e pela sua casa; e degolará o novilho da sua expiação.

11And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which {is} for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which {is} for himself:

12Tomará também o incensário cheio de brasas de fogo do altar, de diante do Senhor, e os seus punhos cheios de incenso aromático moído, e o levará para dentro do véu.

12And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring {it} within the vail:

13E porá o incenso sobre o fogo perante o Senhor, e a nuvem do incenso cobrirá o propiciatório, que está sobre o testemunho, para que não morra.

13And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that {is} upon the testimony, that he die not:

14E tomará do sangue do novilho, e com o seu dedo espargirá sobre a face do propiciatório, para o lado oriental; e perante o propiciatório espargirá sete vezes do sangue com o seu dedo.

14And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle {it} with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15Depois degolará o bode, da expiação, que será pelo povo, e trará o seu sangue para dentro do véu; e fará com o seu sangue como fez com o sangue do novilho, e o espargirá sobre o propiciatório, e perante a face do propiciatório.

15Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that {is} for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

16Assim fará expiação pelo santuário por causa das imundícias dos filhos de Israel e das suas transgressões, e de todos os seus pecados; e assim fará para a tenda da congregação que reside com eles no meio das suas imundícias.

16And he shall make an atonement for the holy {place}, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness. {remaineth: Heb. dwelleth}

17E nenhum homem estará na tenda da congregação quando ele entrar para fazer expiação no santuário, até que ele saia, depois de feita expiação por si mesmo, e pela sua casa, e por toda a congregação de Israel.

17And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy {place}, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

18Então sairá ao altar, que está perante o Senhor, e fará expiação por ele; e tomará do sangue do novilho, e do sangue do bode, e o porá sobre as pontas do altar ao redor.

18And he shall go out unto the altar that {is} before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put {it} upon the horns of the altar round about.

19E daquele sangue espargirá sobre o altar, com o seu dedo, sete vezes, e o purificará das imundícias dos filhos de Israel, e o santificará.

19And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

20Havendo, pois, acabado de fazer expiação pelo santuário, e pela tenda da congregação, e pelo altar, então fará chegar o bode vivo.

20And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy {place}, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:

21E Arão porá ambas as suas mãos sobre a cabeça do bode vivo, e sobre ele confessará todas as iniqüidades dos filhos de Israel, e todas as suas transgressões, e todos os seus pecados; e os porá sobre a cabeça do bode, e enviá-lo-á ao deserto, pela mão de um homem designado para isso.

21And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send {him} away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: {a fit...: Heb. a man of opportunity}

22Assim aquele bode levará sobre si todas as iniqüidades deles à terra solitária; e deixará o bode no deserto.

22And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness. {not...: Heb. of separation}

23Depois Arão virá à tenda da congregação, e despirá as vestes de linho, que havia vestido quando entrara no santuário, e ali as deixará.

23And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy {place}, and shall leave them there:

24E banhará a sua carne em água no lugar santo, e vestirá as suas vestes; então sairá e preparará o seu holocausto, e o holocausto do povo, e fará expiação por si e pelo povo.

24And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.

25Também queimará a gordura da expiação do pecado sobre o altar.

25And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.

26E aquele que tiver levado o bode emissário lavará as suas vestes, e banhará a sua carne em água; e depois entrará no arraial.

26And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.

27Mas o novilho da expiação, e o bode da expiação do pecado, cujo sangue foi trazido para fazer expiação no santuário, serão levados fora do arraial; porém as suas peles, a sua carne, e o seu esterco queimarão com fogo.

27And the bullock {for} the sin offering, and the goat {for} the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy {place}, shall {one} carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

28E aquele que os queimar lavará as suas vestes, e banhará a sua carne em água; e depois entrará no arraial.

28And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

29E isto vos será por estatuto perpétuo: no sétimo mês, aos dez do mês, afligireis as vossas almas, e nenhum trabalho fareis nem o natural nem o estrangeiro que peregrina entre vós.

29And {this} shall be a statute for ever unto you: {that} in the seventh month, on the tenth {day} of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, {whether it be} one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:

30Porque naquele dia se fará expiação por vós, para purificar-vos; e sereis purificados de todos os vossos pecados perante o Senhor.

30For on that day shall {the priest} make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, {that} ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD.

31É um sábado de descanso para vós, e afligireis as vossas almas; isto é estatuto perpétuo.

31It {shall be} a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.

32E o sacerdote, que for ungido, e que for sagrado, para administrar o sacerdócio, no lugar de seu pai, fará a expiação, havendo vestido as vestes de linho, as vestes santas;

32And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, {even} the holy garments: {consecrate: Heb. fill his hand}

33Assim fará expiação pelo santo santuário; também fará expiação pela tenda da congregação e pelo altar; semelhantemente fará expiação pelos sacerdotes e por todo o povo da congregação.

33And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation.

34E isto vos será por estatuto perpétuo, para fazer expiação pelos filhos de Israel de todos os seus pecados, uma vez no ano. E fez Arão como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.

34And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.
