Jubileus 48

1E no sexto ano da terceira semana do quadragésimo nono jubileu tu partiste e habitaste na terra de Midiã, cinco semanas e um ano. E tu retornaste ao Egito na segunda semana, no segundo ano, do qüinquagésimo jubileu.

1And in the sixth year of the third week of the forty-ninth jubilee thou didst depart and dwell in the land of Midian five weeks and one year.

2E tu mesmo sabes que Ele falou contigo no Monte Sinai, e o que o príncipe Mastema queria fazer contigo quando tu estavas retornando ao Egito no caminho, quando tu o encontraste no alojamento. .

2And thou didst return into Egypt in the second week in the second year in the fiftieth jubilee.

3Não procurou ele com todo seu poder matar-te e livrar os Egípcios de tuas mãos quando ele viu que tu eras enviado para executar julgamento e vingança aos egípcios?

3And thou thyself knowest what He spake unto thee on Mount Sinai, and what prince Mastêmâ desired to do with thee when thou wast returning into Egypt on the way when thou didst meet him at the lodging-place.

4E eu te livrei das mãos dele, e tu fizestes os sinais e maravilhas os quais tu foras enviado para fazer no Egito contra o Faraó, e contra toda a casa dele, e contra seus servos e seu povo.

4Did he not with all his power seek to slay thee and deliver the Egyptians out of thy hand when he saw that thou wast sent to execute judgment and vengeance on the Egyptians?

5E o Senhor executou grande vingança sobre eles por causa de Israel, e os feriu através sangue e rãs, piolhos e cães moscas, e furúnculos malignos irrompendo em feridas e seu gado pela morte, e por pedras de granizo com isso Ele destruiu tudo o que crescia para eles; e por gafanhotos que devoraram os resíduos deixados pelo granizo, e pela escuridão; e dos primogênitos dos homens e dos animais, e em todos os ídolos deles tomou vingança e os queimou com fogo.

5And I delivered thee out of his hand, and thou didst perform the signs and wonders which thou wast sent to perform in Egypt against Pharaoh, and against all his house, and against his servants and his people.

6E tudo foi enviado por tuas mãos, para que tu declaraste antes delas serem feitas, e tu falaste com o rei do Egito diante de todos os servos dele e diante de seu povo.

6And the Lord executed a great vengeance on them for Israel's sake, and smote them through (the plagues of) blood and frogs, lice and dog-flies, and malignant boils breaking forth in blains;

7E tudo aconteceu de acordo com tuas palavras; dez grandes e terríveis juízos vieram sobre a terra do Egito de modo que tu executastes vingança por Israel.

7and their cattle by death; and by hail-stones, thereby He destroyed everything that grew for them; and by locusts which devoured the residue which had been left by the hail,

8E o Senhor fez tudo por causa de Israel, e de acordo com o Seu mandamento, que ele havia ordenado a Abraão que Ele os vingaria se eles trouxessem-nos a força para escravidão.

8and by darkness; and (by the death) of the first-born of men and animals,

9E o príncipe Mastema levantou-se contra ti, e tentou te entregar nas mãos do Faraó, e ele sempre ajudou os magos egípcios, e eles se levantaram e trabalharam diante de ti.

9and on all their idols the Lord took vengeance and burned them with fire.

10A maldade nós permitimos que eles trabalhassem, mas os remédios nós não permitimos serem feitos pelas mãos deles.

10And everything was sent through thy hand, that thou shouldst declare (these things) before they were done, and thou didst speak with the king of Egypt before all his servants and before his people.

11E o senhor os feriu com úlceras malignas, e eles eram incapazes de ficar de pé, porque nós os destruímos e eles não podiam fazer um sinal sequer.

11And everything took place according to thy words; ten great and terrible judgments came on the land of Egypt that thou mightest execute vengeance on it for Israel.

12E não bastasse todos sinais e maravilhas o príncipe Mastema não estava envergonhado porque ele tomou coragem e gritou aos egípcios para que perseguissem após vós com todos os poderes do Egito, com suas carruagens, e com seus cavalos, e com todos os exércitos dos povos do Egito.

12And the Lord did everything for Israel's sake, and according to His covenant, which He had ordained with Abraham that He would take vengeance on them as they had brought them by force into bondage.

13E eu fiquei entre os egípcios e Israel, e nós livramos Israel de suas mãos, e para fora da terra daquele povo, e o Senhor os trouxe para o meio do mar como se fosse terra seca.

13And the prince of the Mastêmâ stood up against thee, and sought to cast thee into the hands of Pharaoh, and he helped the Egyptian sorcerers, and they stood up and wrought before thee.

14E todos os povos que nós trouxemos a perseguir após Israel, o Senhor nosso Deus os atirou no meio do mar, nas profundezas do abismo abaixo dos filhos de Israel, da mesma forma que o povo do Egito havia atirado seus filhos no rio. Ele tomou vingança contra 1.000.000 deles, e mil homens fortes e enérgicos foram destruídos por cada um amamentado dos filhos de teu povo que eles haviam atirado no rio.

14The evils indeed we permitted them to work, but the remedies we did not allow to be wrought by their hands.

15E no décimo quarto dia, e no décimo quinto, e no décimo sexto, e no décimo sétimo, e no décimo oitavo, o príncipe Mastema estava atado e preso atrás dos filhos de Israel de modo que ele não os podia acusar.

15And the Lord smote them with malignant ulcers, and they were not able to stand for we destroyed them so that they could not perform a single sign.

16E no décimo nono nós o deixamos sair para que ele pudesse ajudar os egípcios a perseguir os filhos de Israel.

16And notwithstanding all (these) signs and wonders the prince of the Mastêmâ was not put to shame because he took courage and cried to the Egyptians to pursue after thee with all the powers of the Egyptians, with their chariots, and with their horses, and with all the hosts of the peoples of Egypt.

17E ele endureceu o coração deles e os fez teimosos, e este dispositivo foi criado pelo Senhor nosso Deus para que Ele pudesse ferir os egípcios e atira-los no mar.

17And I stood between the Egyptians and Israel, and we delivered Israel out of his hand, and out of the hand of his people,

18E no décimo quarto nós o prendemos de modo que não pudesse acusar os filhos de Israel no dia em que eles pediram aos egípcios vasos e roupas, vasos de prata, vasos de ouro, vasos de bronze, para despojar os egípcios em troca pela escravidão na qual eles os forçaram a servir.

18and the Lord brought them through the midst of the sea as if it were dry land. And all the peoples whom he brought to pursue after Israel, the Lord our God cast them into the midst of the sea, into the depths of the abyss

19E nós não libertamos os filhos de Israel do Egito de mãos vazias.

19beneath the children of Israel, even as the people of Egypt had cast their children into the river. He took vengeance on 1,000,000 of them, and one thousand strong and energetic men were destroyed on account of one suckling of the children of thy people which they had thrown into the river.

20And on the fourteenth day and on the fifteenth and on the sixteenth and on the seventeenth and on the eighteenth the prince of the Mastêmâ was bound and imprisoned behind the children of Israel that he might not accuse them

21—

21And on the nineteenth we let them loose that they might help the Egyptians and pursue the children of Israel.

22—

22And he hardened their hearts and made them stubborn, and the device was devised by the Lord our God that He might smite the Egyptians and cast them into the sea.

23—

23And on the fourteenth we bound him that he might not accuse the children of Israel on the day when they asked the Egyptians for vessels and garments, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze,

24—

24in order to despoil the Egyptians in return for the bondage in which they had forced them to serve.<br>And we did not lead forth the children of Israel from Egypt empty handed.
