1E naqueles dias o Faraó sonhou dois sonhos em uma noite a respeito de uma fome que aconteceria em toda a terra, e ele acordou de seu sono e chamou todos os interpretes de sonhos que estavam no Egito, e os magos, e os contou seus dois sonhos, e eles não foram capazes de explicá-los.

1And in those days Pharaoh dreamed two dreams in one night concerning a famine which was to be in all the land,

2Então o copeiro chefe lembrou-se de José e falou sobre ele ao rei, e ele o trouxe da prisão, e ele contou seus dois sonhos diante dele.

2and he awoke from his sleep and called all the interpreters of dreams that were in Egypt, and magicians, and told them his two dreams, and they were not able to declare (them).

3E ele disse diante do Faraó que seus dois sonhos eram um, e ele disse a ele: "Sete anos passarão abundância sobre toda a terra do Egito, e depois disso sete anos de fome, fome tamanha como nunca houve em toda a terra.

3And then the chief butler remembered Joseph and spake of him to the king,

4E agora o Faraó construiu em toda a terra do Egito armazéns, e os homens puderam estocar comida em cada cidade durante os dias dos anos de abundância, e haveria comida para os sete anos de fome, e a terra não pereceria pela fome, porque esta seria muito severa."

4and he brought him forth from the prison, and he told his two dreams before him.

5E o Senhor deu a José favor e misericórdia aos olhos do Faraó, e o Faraó disse a seus servos: "Nós não encontraremos homem tão sábio e perspicaz como este homem, porque o espírito do Senhor está com ele."

5And he said before Pharaoh that his two dreams were one,

6E ele o nomeou o segundo em todo o seu reino e o deu autoridade sobre todo o Egito, e o fez andar na segunda carruagem do Faraó.

6and he said unto him: "Seven years will come (in which there will be) plenty over all the land of Egypt, and after that seven years of famine, such a famine as hath not been in all the land.

7E ele o vestiu com roupas de linho fino, e colocou uma corrente de ouro sobre seu pescoço, e proclamava diante dele "Ei Ei wa Abirer" , e colocou um anel em sua mão e o fez governante sobre toda sua casa, e o engrandeceu, e disse a ele: "Somente eu no trono serei maior que tu."

7And now let Pharaoh appoint overseers in all the land of Egypt, and let them store up food in every city throughout the days of the years of plenty, and there will be food for the seven years of famine, and the land will not perish through the famine, for it will be very severe."

8E José governou sobre toda a terra do Egito, e todos os príncipes do Faraó, e todos seus servos, e todos os que cuidavam dos negócios do rei o amavam, porque ele andava em retidão, porque ele não tinha orgulho nem arrogância, e ele não fazia distinção de pessoas nem aceitava presentes, mas ele julgava em retidão e justiça todas as pessoas da terra.

8And the Lord gave Joseph favour and mercy in the eyes of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh said unto his servants: "We shall not find such a wise and discreet man as this man, for the spirit of the Lord is with him."

9E a terra do Egito estava em paz diante do Faraó por causa de José, porque o Senhor era com ele, e o deu favor e misericórdia por todas as suas gerações diante de todos aqueles que o conheciam e aqueles que ouviam a respeito dele, e o reino do Faraó estava bem arrumado, e não havia Satanás nem pessoa maligna .

9And he appointed him the second in all his kingdom and gave him authority over all Egypt,

10O rei chamou José pelo nome de Sefatinfans, e deu a José por esposa a filha de Potifar, filha do príncipe de Heliopolis, o cozinheiro chefe.

10and caused him to ride in the second chariot of Pharaoh.<br>And he clothed him with byssus garments, and he put a gold chain upon his neck, and (a herald) proclaimed before him "’Êl ’Êl wa’ Abîrĕr,"

11E no dia em que José ficou diante do Faraó ele tinha trinta anos de idade .

11and he placed a ring on his hand and made him ruler over all his house, and magnified him, and said unto him: "Only on the throne shall I be greater than thou."

12E naquele dia Isaque morreu. E aconteceu conforme José havia dito na interpretação dos dois sonhos, de acordo como ele havia dito, houveram sete anos de abundância sobre toda a terra do Egito, e a terra do Egito produziu abundantemente, uma medida oitocentas medidas.

12And Joseph ruled over all the land of Egypt, and all the princes of Pharaoh, and all his servants, and all who did the king's business loved him,

13E José ajuntou comida em cada cidade até que elas estavam cheias de milho até que eles não podiam mais contar ou medir por sua multidão.

13for he walked in uprightness, for he was without pride and arrogance, and he had no respect of persons, and did not accept gifts, but he judged in uprightness all the people of the land.

14And the land of Egypt was at peace before Pharaoh because of Joseph, for the Lord was with him, and gave him favour and mercy for all his generations before all those who knew him and those who heard concerning him,

15—

15and Pharaoh's kingdom was well ordered, and there was no Satan and no evil person (therein).

16—

16And the king called Joseph's name Sĕphânṭîphâns, and gave Joseph to wife the daughter of Potiphar, the daughter of the priest of Heliopolis, the chief cook.

17—

17And on the day that Joseph stood before Pharaoh he was thirty years old [when he stood before Pharaoh].<br>And in that year Isaac died.

18—

18And it came to pass as Joseph had said in the interpretation of his two dreams, according as he had said it, there were seven years of plenty over all the land of Egypt, and the land of Egypt produced abundantly, one measure (producing) eighteen hundred measures.

19—

19And Joseph gathered food into every city until they were full of corn until they could no longer count and measure it for its multitude.
