Jubileus 36

1E no sexto ano dessa semana Isaque chamou seus dois filhos Esaú e Jacó, e eles vieram e ele, e ele disse a eles: "Meus filhos, Eu estou indo a caminho de meus pais, para o lar eterno onde meus pais estão.

1And in the sixth year of this week Isaac called his two sons, Esau and Jacob, and they came to him, and he said unto them: "My sons, I am going the way of my fathers, to the eternal house where my fathers are.

2Portando enterrem-me próximo a Abraão, meu pai, na caverna dupla no campo de Efrom o Hitita, onde Abraão comprou um sepulcro para enterrar; no sepulcro que eu cavar para mim mesmo, lá me enterrem.

2Wherefore bury me near Abraham my father, in the double cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite, where Abraham purchased a sepulchre to bury in; in the sepulchre which I digged for myself, there bury me.

3E isto eu os ordeno, meus filhos, que vós pratiqueis justiça e retidão sobre a terra, de modo que o Senhor possa trazer sobre vós todas as coisas que o Senhor disse que faria para Abraão e sua descendência.

3And this I command you, my sons, that ye practise righteousness and uprightness on the earth, so that the Lord may bring upon you all that the Lord said that he would do to Abraham and to his seed.

4E amem um ao outro, meus filhos, seu irmão como o homem que ama sua própria vida, e cada um busque o que beneficie a seu irmão, e ajam juntos sobre a terra; e que cada um ame ao outro como sua própria vida.

4And love one another, my sons, your brothers as a man who loveth his own soul, and let each seek in what he may benefit his brother, and act together on the earth; and let them love each other as their own souls.

5E a respeito dos ídolos, eu ordeno e os advirto que os rejeitem e os odeiem, e não os amem, porque eles estão cheios de decepção para aqueles que os adoram e para aqueles que se dobram a eles.

5And concerning the question of idols, I command and admonish you to reject them and hate them, and love them not; for they are full of deception for those that worship them and for those that bow down to them.

6Lembrem-vos, meus filhos, do Senhor Deus de Abraão vosso pai, e como eu também O adorei e O servi em justiça e com alegria, para que ele venha a multiplicar-vos e crescer vossos descendentes como as estrelas do céu em multidão, e estabeleça a vós sobre a terra como a planta da justiça a qual não será exterminada por todas as gerações para sempre.

6Remember ye, my sons, the Lord God of Abraham your father, and how I too worshipped Him and served Him in righteousness and in joy,

7E agora eu farei vocês jurarem um grande juramento - porque não ha juramento que seja maior que este, pelo nome glorioso e honrado e grandioso e esplêndido e maravilhoso e poderoso, que criou o céu e a terra e todas as coisas juntas - que vocês irão temê-Lo e adorá-Lo.

7that He might multiply you and increase your seed as the stars of heaven in multitude, and establish you on the earth as the plant of righteousness which will not be rooted out unto all the generations for ever.

8E que cada um amará a seu irmão com afeição e justiça, e que nenhum desejará o mal contra seu irmão de agora e para sempre por todos os dias de vossas vidas para que vocês possam prosperar em todas as vossas obras e não sejam destruídos.

8And now I shall make you swear a great oath--for there is no oath which is greater than it by the name glorious and honoured and great and splendid and wonderful and mighty, which created the heavens and the earth and all things together.

9E se algum de vós desejar mal contra seu irmão, saiba que de agora em diante qualquer que desejar o mal contra seu irmão cairá em sua mão e será exterminado da terra dos viventes, e sua descendência será destruída de debaixo do céu.

9--that ye will fear Him and worship Him. And that each will love his brother with affection and righteousness, and that neither will desire evil against his brother from henceforth for ever all the days of your life, so that ye may prosper in all your deeds and not be destroyed.

10Mas no dia da tribulação, maldição, ira e raiva, com fogo de chama flamejante do modo como Ele queimou Sodoma do mesmo modo Ele queimará sua terra e sua cidade e tudo o que é dele, e ele será apagado do livro da disciplina dos filhos dos homens, e não será gravado no livro da vida, mas naquele que é apontado para a destruição, e ele será expulso em uma maldição eterna; de modo que sua condenação seja sempre renovada em ódio, maldição, ira, tormento, indignação, pragas e em doenças para sempre.

10And if either of you deviseth evil against his brother, know that from henceforth every one that deviseth evil against his brother will fall into his hand, and will be rooted out of the land of the living, and his seed will be destroyed from under heaven.

11Eu digo e testifico a vocês, meus filhos, de acordo com o julgamento que sobrevirá sobre o homem que desejar ferir seu irmão.

11But on the day of turbulence and execration and indignation and anger, with flaming devouring fire as He burnt Sodom, so likewise will He burn his land and his city and all that is his,

12E ele dividiu todas as suas posses entre os dois naquele dia e ele deu a parte maior para aquele que era o primogênito, e a torre e tudo o que estava sobre ela, e tudo o que Abraão possuía no Poço do Juramento.

12and he will be blotted out of the book of the discipline of the children of men, and not be recorded in the book of life,

13E ele disse: "Esta porção maior eu darei ao primogênito."

13but in that which is appointed to destruction, and he will depart into eternal execration; so that their condemnation may be always renewed in hate and in execration and in wrath and in torment and in indignation and in plagues and in disease for ever.

14E Esaú disse: "Eu vendi a Jacó e dei meu direito de primogenitura a Jacó; que seja dada para ele, e eu não tenho nem uma única palavra a respeito disso, porque é dele."

14I say and testify to you, my sons, according to the judgment which will come upon the man who wisheth to injure his brother."

15E Isaque disse: "Que uma benção descanse sobre vós, meus filhos, e sobre vossa descendência neste dia, porque vós me deram descanso, e meu coração não está dolorido no que diz respeito ao direito de primogenitura, que vós fossem maquinar maldade por causa disso.

15And he divided all his possessions between the two on that day, and he gave the larger portion to him that was the first-born, and the tower and all that was about it, and all that Abraham possessed at the Well of the Oath.

16Que o Senhor Deus Altíssimo abençoe o homem que trabalhou justiça, ele e sua descendência para sempre."

16And he said, "This larger portion I shall give to the first-born."<br>And Esau said, "I have sold to Jacob and given my birthright to Jacob; to him let it be given, and I have not a single word to say regarding it, for it is his."

17E ele terminou de ordená-los e de abençoá-los, e eles comeram e beberam juntos diante dele, e ele se alegrou porque havia uma mente entre eles, e eles partiram dele e descansaram daquele dia e dormiram.

17And Isaac said, "May a blessing rest upon you, my sons, and upon your seed this day, for ye have given me rest, and my heart is not pained concerning the birthright, lest thou shouldest work wickedness on account of it.

18E Isaque dormiu em sua cama naquele dia alegre; e ele dormiu o sono eterno, e morreu aos cento e oitenta anos de idade. Ele completou vinte e cinco semanas e cinco anos; e seus dois filhos, Esaú e Jacó o enterraram.

18May the Most High God bless the man that worketh righteousness, him and his seed for ever."

19E Esaú foi para a terra de Edom, para os montes de Seir, e habitou lá.

19And he ended commanding them and blessing them, and they ate and drank together before him, and he rejoiced because there was one mind between them, and they went forth from him and rested that day and slept.

20E Jacó habitou nas montanhas de Hebron, na torre da terra da peregrinação de seu pai Abraão, e ele adorou ao Senhor com todo o seu coração e de acordo com as ordens visíveis do modo como Ele havia dividido os dias de suas gerações.

20And Isaac slept on his bed that day rejoicing; and he slept the eternal sleep, and died one hundred and eighty years old. He completed twenty-five weeks and five years;

21E Lia, sua esposa, morreu no quarto ano da segunda semana do quadragésimo quinto jubileu, e ele a enterrou na caverna dupla próximo a Rebeca sua mãe à esquerda do túmulo de Sara, mãe de seu pai.

21and his two sons Esau and Jacob buried him.<br>And Esau went to the land of Edom, to the mountains of Seir, and dwelt there.

22E todos os filhos dela vieram ficar de luto por Lia, sua esposa, e para confortá-lo a respeito dela, porque ele estava lamentando por ela.

22And Jacob dwelt in the mountains of Hebron, in the tower of the land of the sojournings of his father Abraham, and he worshipped the Lord with all his heart and according to the visible commands according as He had divided the days of his generations....

23Porque ele a amava muitíssimo após a morte de Raquel, irmã dela; porque ela era perfeita e reta em todos os seus caminhos e honrava Jacó, e em todos os dias que ela viveu com ele, ele não ouviu de sua boca palavra dura , porque ela era gentil e pacífica e reta e honrável.

23And Leah his wife died in the fourth year of the second week of the forty-fifth jubilee, and he buried her in the double cave near Rebecca his mother, to the left of the grave of Sarah, his father's mother.

24E ele lembrou-se de todas as obras que ela havia feito durante sua vida e a lamentou muitíssimo; porque ele a amava com todo o seu coração e com toda sua alma.

24And all her sons and his sons came to mourn over Leah his wife with him, and to comfort him regarding her, for he was lamenting her.<br>For he loved her exceedingly after Rachel her sister died;

25for she was perfect and upright in all her ways and honoured Jacob, and all the days that she lived with him he did not hear from her mouth a harsh word, for she was gentle and peaceable and upright and honourable.

26—

26And he remembered all her deeds which she had done during her life, and he lamented her exceedingly; for he loved her with all his heart and with all his soul.
