Jubileus 31

1E na lua nova do mês Jacó falou com todos de sua casa dizendo: "Purifiquem-se e troquem suas vestes, e vamos levantar e subir para Betel, onde eu fiz um voto com Ele no dia em que eu fugi da face de Esaú, meu irmão, porque Ele esteve comigo e me trouxe para esta terra em paz. E se afastem dos deuses estranhos que existem entre vocês!"

1And on the new moon of the month Jacob spake to all the people of his house, saying: "Purify yourselves and change your garments,

2E eles desistiram dos deuses estranhos. Os que estavam em sua orelhas e os que estavam em seus pescoços e os ídolos que Raquel havia roubado de Labão, seu pai, e ela deu tudo a Jacó. E ele os queimou e os quebrou em pedaços e os destruiu, e os escondeu debaixo de um carvalho na terra de Siquém.

2and let us arise and go up to Bethel, where I vowed a vow to Him on the day when I fled from the face of Esau my brother, because He hath been with me and brought me into this land in peace,

3E ele subiu na lua nova do sétimo mês para Betel. E ele construiu um altar no lugar que ele havia dormido, e ele ergueu um pilar lá, e ele enviou uma mensagem para seu pai Isaque que ele viria para o sacrifício, e enviou também para sua mãe Rebeca.

3and put ye away the strange gods that are among you."<br>And they gave up the strange gods and that which was in their ears and which was on their necks, and the idols which Rachel stole from Laban her brother

4E Isaque disse: "Deixe meu filho vir, e deixe-me vê-lo antes de eu morrer."

4she gave wholly to Jacob. And he burnt and brake them to pieces and destroyed them, and hid them under an oak which is in the land of Shechem.

5E Jacó foi até seu pai Isaque e até sua mãe Rebeca, para a casa de seu pai Abraão, e ele trouxe dois de seus filhos com ele, Levi e Judá, e ele veio a seu pai Isaque e a sua mãe Rebeca.

5And he went up on the new moon of the seventh month to Bethel. And he built an altar at the place where he had slept, and he set up a pillar there,

6E Rebeca veio da torre para a frente para beijar Jacó e abraçá-lo; porque seu espírito havia se reanimado quando ela ouviu dizer: "Eis que Jacó seu filho chegou." e ela o beijou.

6and he sent word to his father Isaac to come to him to his sacrifice, and to his mother Rebecca.

7E ela viu os dois filhos dele, e os reconheceu, e disse pra eles: "São estes teus filhos, meu filho?" E ela os abraçou e os beijou, e os abençoou dizendo: "Em vocês a descendência de Abraão se tornará ilustre, e vocês provarão benção sobre a terra."

7And Isaac said: "Let my son Jacob come, and let me see him before I die."

8E Jacó adentrou para Isaque, seu pai, para a câmara onde ele estava deitado, e seus dois filhos estavam com ele, e ele tomou a mão de seu pai, e abaixando-se o beijou. E Isaque agarrou o pescoço de Jacó, seu filho, e chorou sobre o seu pescoço.

8And Jacob went to his father Isaac and to his mother Rebecca, to the house of his father Abraham, and he took two of his sons with him, Levi and Judah, and he came to his father Isaac and to his mother Rebecca.

9E a escuridão deixou os olhos de Isaque, e ele viu os dois filhos de Jacó: Levi e Judá. E ele disse: "São estes teu filhos, meu filho?" Porque ele são parecidos contigo."

9And Rebecca came forth from the tower to the front of it to kiss Jacob and embrace him; for her spirit had revived when she heard: "Behold Jacob thy son hath come";

10E ele disse pra ele que eles eram verdadeiramente seu filhos: "E tu verdadeiramente vistes que eles são verdadeiramente meus filhos."

10and she kissed him.<br>And she saw his two sons, and she recognised them, and said unto him: "Are these thy sons, my son?"

11E eles se aproximaram dele, e ele se virou e os beijou e abraçou a ambos juntos.

11and she embraced them and kissed them, and blessed them, saying: "In you shall the seed of Abraham become illustrious, and ye will prove a blessing on the earth."

12E o espírito da profecia desceu sobre a boca dele, e ele tomou Levi pela sua mão direita e Judá pela sua esquerda.

12And Jacob went in to Isaac his father, to the chamber where he lay, and his two sons were with him,

13E ele virou-se para Levi primeiro, e começou a abençoá-lo primeiro, e disse a ele: "Que o Deus de Tudo, o Deus de todas as eras, te abençoe e a teus filhos por todas as eras.

13and he took the hand of his father, and stooping down he kissed him, and Isaac clung to the neck of Jacob his son, and wept upon his neck.

14E que o Senhor de a ti e a tua descendência grandiosidade e grande glória, e faça que ti e tua descendência, dentre toda a carne, se aproxime Dele para servi-lo no Seu santuário como os anjos da presença e como os santos. E como eles seja a descendência de teus filhos para glória e grandiosidade e santidade, e que Ele os faça grandes por todas as eras.

14And the darkness left the eyes of Isaac, and he saw the two sons of Jacob, Levi and Judah, and he said: "Are these thy sons, my son? for they are like thee."

15E eles serão juízes e príncipes, e chefes de todos os descendentes de Jacó. Eles devem falar a palavra do Senhor em justiça, e eles devem proclamar todos os Seus juízos em justiça. E ele devem anunciar meus caminhos a Jacó e minhas veredas a Israel. A benção do Senhor será dada as vossas bocas para abençoar toda a descendência dos amados.

15And he said unto him that they were truly his sons: "And thou hast truly seen that they are truly my sons."

16Tua mãe te chamou pelo nome de Levi, e ela acertou na escolha de teu nome. Tu estará junto ao Senhor e será companheiro dos filhos de Jacó. Que a mesa Dele seja tua , e que tu e teus filhos comam nela. E que tua mesa seja farta em todas as gerações, e que tua comida não falte em todas as eras.

16And they came near to him, and he turned and kissed them and embraced them both together.

17E que todos os que te odeiam caiam diante de ti, e que todos os teus adversários sejam exterminados e pereçam. E bendito seja aquele que te bem diz, e maldita seja toda nação que te maldizer."

17And the spirit of prophecy came down into his mouth, and he took Levi by his right hand and Judah by his left. And he turned to Levi first, and began to bless him first,

18E para Judá ele disse: "Que o Senhor te dê força e poder para atropelar todos os que te odeiam; Um príncipe tu serás, tu e um dos teus filhos, sobre os filhos de Jacó; Que teu nome e o nome de teus filhos avancem e atravessem toda a terra e região. Então os Gentios temerão diante de tua face, e todas as nações tremerão .

18and said unto him:, 'May the God of all, the very Lord of all the ages, bless thee and thy children throughout all the ages.

19Em ti será o socorro de Jacó, e em ti se achará a salvação de Israel.

19And may the Lord give to thee and to thy seed greatness and great glory, and cause thee and thy seed, from among all flesh, to approach Him to serve in His sanctuary

20E quando tu te assentares no trono de honra da tua justiça haverá grande paz para todos os descendentes dos filhos dos amados; Bendito seja aquele que te abençoar, e todo o que te odiar e te afligir e te maldizer seja exterminado e destruído da terra e seja amaldiçoado."

20as the angels of the presence and as the holy ones. (Even) as they, will the seed of thy sons be for glory and greatness and holiness,

21E virando-se ele o beijou novamente e o abraçou, e se alegrou grandemente; porque ele verdadeiramente havia visto os filhos de seu filho Jacó.

21and may He make them great unto all the ages.<br>And they will be princes and judges, and chiefs of all the seed of the sons of Jacob;

22E ele saiu de entre seus pés e se prostrou e se curvou a ele , e ele os abençoou e descansou lá com Isaque seu pai naquela noite, e eles comeram e beberam com alegria.

22They will speak the word of the Lord in righteousness, And they will judge all His judgments in righteousness. And they will declare My ways to Jacob. And My paths to Israel.

23E ele fez os dois filhos de Jacó dormirem, um na sua direita e o outro na sua esquerda, e isso lhe foi contado como justiça.

23The blessing of the Lord will be given in their mouths To bless all the seed of the beloved.

24E Jacó contou a seu pai tudo durante a noite como o Senhor havia o mostrado grande misericórdia, e como Ele o havia prosperado em todos os seus caminhos e o protegido de todo o mal.

24Thy mother hath called thy name Levi, And justly hath she called thy name; Thou wilt be joined to the Lord And be the companion of all the sons of Jacob;

25E Isaque bem disse ao Deus de seu pai Abraão, que não reteve sua misericórdia e sua justiça dos filhos de seu servo Isaque. Rebeca muda-se com Jacó para Betel.

25Let His table be thine, And do thou and thy sons eat thereof; And may thy table be full unto all generations, And thy food fail not unto all the ages.

26E pela manhã Jacó contou a seu pai Isaque sobre o voto que ele tinha feito ao Senhor, e a visão que ele tinha visto, e que ele tinha construído um altar, e que tudo estava pronto para o sacrifício a ser feito diante do Senhor da forma como ele tinha feito o voto, e que ele tinha vindo para montá-lo num jumento.

26And let all who hate thee fall down before thee, And let all thy adversaries be rooted out and perish;

27E Isaque disse a Jacó, seu filho: "Eu não sou capaz de ir contigo, porque eu sou velho e não sou capaz de suportar o caminho. Vá, meu filho, em paz; porque eu tenho cento e sessenta anos de idade. Eu não sou mais capaz de viajar. Monte tua mãe e que ela vá contigo.

27And blessed be he that blesseth thee, And cursed be every nation that curseth thee.

28E eu sei, meu filho, que tu vieste por minha causa, e que este dia seja bem dito no qual tu me viste com vida, e eu também te vi, meu filho.

28And to Judah he said: May the Lord give thee strength and power To tread down all that hate thee;

29Que tu prosperes e cumpras o voto que tu fizestes, e não descartes teu voto, para que tu não sejas chamado por ter tocado no voto, agora pois se apresse em cumpri-lo, e que Ele se alegre, aquele que fez todas as coisas para o qual tu fizeste o voto."

29A prince shalt thou be, thou and one of thy sons, over the sons of Jacob; May thy name and the name of thy sons go forth and traverse every land and region.

30E ele disse a Rebeca: "Vá com Jacó, teu filho." E Rebeca foi com Jacó, seu filho, e Deborah com ela, e eles foram para Betel.

30Then will the Gentiles fear before thy face, And all the nations will quake [And all the peoples will quake].

31E Jacó lembrou-se da oração com a qual seu pai o havia abençoado a ele a seus dois filhos, Levi e Judá, e ele se alegrou e bem disse a ao Deus de seus pais, Abraão e Isaque.

31In thee shall be the help of Jacob, And in thee be found the salvation of Israel.

32E ele disse: "Agora eu sei que tenho uma esperança eterna, e também meus filhos, diante do Deus de tudo." E assim está ordenado no que diz respeito aos dois, e eles gravaram para testemunho eterno nas tábuas celestes como Isaque os abençoou.

32And when thou sittest on the throne of the honour of thy righteousness, There will be great peace for all the seed of the sons of the beloved,

33—

33And blessed will he be that blesseth thee; And all that hate thee and afflict thee and curse thee Shall be rooted out and destroyed from the earth and accursed."

34—

34And turning he kissed him again and embraced him, and rejoiced greatly; for he had seen the sons of Jacob his son in very truth.

35—

35And he went forth from between his feet and fell down and worshipped him. And he blessed them. And (Jacob) rested there with Isaac his father that night, and they ate and drank with joy.

36—

36And he made the two sons of Jacob sleep, the one on his right hand and the other on his left and it was counted to him for righteousness.

37—

37And Jacob told his father everything during the night, how the Lord had shown him great mercy, and how He had prospered (him in) all his ways, and protected him from all evil.

38—

38And Isaac blessed the God of his father Abraham, who had not withdrawn His mercy and His righteousness from the sons of His servant Isaac.

39—

39And in the morning Jacob told his father Isaac the vow which he had vowed to the Lord, and the vision which he had seen, and that he had built an altar, and that everything was ready for the sacrifice to be made before the Lord as he had vowed, and that he had come to set him on an ass.

40—

40And Isaac said unto Jacob his son: "I am not able to go with thee; for I am old, and not able to bear the way:

41—

41go, my son, in peace; for I am one hundred and sixty-five years this day; I am no longer able to journey,

42—

42set thy mother (on an ass) and let her go with thee. And I know, my son, that thou hast come on my account, and may this day be blessed on which thou hast seen me alive, and I also have seen thee, my son.

43—

43Mayest thou prosper and fulfil the vow which thou hast vowed, and put not off thy vow; for thou wilt be called to account as touching the vow;

44—

44now therefore make haste to perform it, and may He be pleased who hath made all things, to whom thou hast vowed the vow."

45—

45And he said to Rebecca: "Go with Jacob thy son"; and Rebecca went with Jacob her son, and Deborah with her, and they came to Bethel.

46—

46And Jacob remembered the prayer with which his father had blessed him and his two sons, Levi and Judah, and he rejoiced and blessed the God of his fathers, Abraham and Isaac. And he said:

47—

47"Now I know that I have an eternal hope, and my sons also, before the God of all;" and thus is it ordained concerning the two; and they record it as an eternal testimony unto them on the heavenly tables how Isaac blessed them.
